Hello- Thank you for taking the time to share your review. We are so glad to hear you are loving your dryer. We can understand your desire to reduce the signal volume, however this model has a "fixed" signal and the volume cannot be adjusted. It will buzz automatically at the end of the cycle and once the timer moves to the OFF position, it will automatically shut off. In regards to the issue you are having with the black marks being on your sheets. That is not considered normal. Note: Black marks on clothing or sheets may be the result of the collar or cuff rubbing between the dryer drum and drum slides. This may occur if the dryer drum slides are worn or a felt seal is mispositioned or defective. We recommend taking advantage of your warranty and reaching out to GE Consumer Service by calling 1-800-432-2737. Thank you! Joyce@GEA
