I needed to insert a drain cover into a homemade concrete drain inlet that was not any standard size. I bought the closest size PVC pipe drain cover which was about an inch too small. I had to use a plastic food plate to make a collar for the cover to keep it from falling into the opening. So I have the silicone on concrete, PVC and plastic to hold this ugly creation. But it's working. I'm sure there was something better I could have done, but I'm a 64 yr old nurse and not a real handyman. Although I feel satisfied to be able to figure something out.

Got a new $25 caulk gun and this tube of silicone to cover a gap. Prepped the tube, put it in the gun, pulled the trigger slightly, and this tube literally exploded out the bottom and all over everything within 30'...ruining clothes, dining room dishes, the kitchen sink, the wall, the caulk gun itself, etc. I've scrubbed for over 30 mins and can't get it off of anything...it just smears. This junk ruined hundreds of dollars of stuff and will take hours of work for literally nothing.

This is a Great product. Where other crack over days or time this will stand the test of time but be ready to pay the price.

Today is Aug 6, 2022. HD in Milpitas CA is still selling the expired GE silicone. Check the expiration carefully before you pay for it.

That is an amazing product especially for windows and doors sealing.

Purchased to complete doing a refurb of bathroom window removing all paint to stain and finish wood. Its old privacy glass so most caulks are a pain this went well!

I've been using this GE exterior silicone for years and have yet to be disappointed. I routinely purchase it from Home Depot and do so in a variety of the colors available. They sell the clear, the light almond, and even have a light gray color so that you can color match to whatever your project requires. When it comes to applications, I have had no problems with adherence to brick and masonry surfaces, tile, glass, wood, metal, and PVC piping. This particular product vastly outperforms DAP branded silicones and because it becomes 'rain ready' so fast, it can really be a huge help when working in inclement weather as a temporary or permanent sealant solution. PACKAGING: Standard sized 10.1 ounce caulk tube. The labeleling on the tube leaves little to be desired as it explains where to use it, in what temps, and describes the rain ready features and mold resistance. MADE IN: This product is made in the USA. QUALITY/APPLICATION: This product is of outstanding quality and after having tried multiple other options, I standardized on this GE product. It's just a consistently great product that I don't have to worry about fading or peeling. When it comes to tooling it, you do need to work a bit fast as after about 3 minutes, it does begin to form that familiar silicone skin. The product does have a rather strong 'vinegar VOC' smell and this is why it should be dispensed in areas with adequate ventilation. Overall, this is great quality silicone and the price is both stable and reasonable. Certainly, there are cheaper options available but I've learned there is a reason why they are now what I term 'cheap'. They just don't hold up like the GE silicone does and when it comes to exterior applications of sealant, I don't like having to worry about water damage to my properties because I tried to save a buck or two on a cheaper option. Finally, although it is not labeled for interior usage, I have had no problems whatsoever with selectively using it where a silicone solution was required. Pro's: Low cost, excellent adhesion and durability, non-yellowing formula, multiple colors to choose from, and rain ready in 30 minutes.

This is a great product. I am using it in replacing some old aluminum frame single pane windows in my home with vinyl frame double pane. This caulk seals very well, is tool-able immediately after application with a nitrile-gloved finger tip, has a bright white attractive finish and will last beyond my tenure on this planet. The most important steps are to 1) completely scrape off the old caulk 2) use rubbing alcohol to clean the surface after that. 3) the application of 3M Blue masking tape before caulking will cleanly define the inner and outer edge of the caulk perimeter. Remove the tape immediately after caulking. I have used other brands of caulk over the years. GE is the very best. Highly Recommended!

I used this to fill cracks on my DIY wood floors. After trying and not getting the results/look I was going for with wood filler and rope, I ended up using this caulk and it worked great! The 100% silicone allows for movement and expansion of my floor boards and it has held up great! No cracks or gaps!

I bought this to add some panels to my swanstone shower. The rest was caulked in light gray. This was NOT gray. It looks almond. I was so happy to have finished my project and now I have to redo it. I looked at the label again and yes, it says light gray. It comes out almond. Very upset.

I used this to caulk in my custom bathroom vanities as it was a neutral color to the tile and cabinets. Once it dried it left neon yellow stains everywhere it touched. I liked the application of it, and the quality of the product, but the chemical reaction on my $1500 dollar vanity is a problem.

Use the silicone to seal the bottom of my galvanized pool tank tub it was leaking water, I was trying to avoid for sending it back,,thought I could fix the problem but it did not work,I ended up pulling the silicone off and trying to call the company so I can send the galvanized pull tank back hopefully they'll let me return it. I just can't believe silicone for metal did not do the job,it help when I patch my metal roof of my Pub shed, it rained and rained and rained and no water drip through my pub shed anymore. So I don't know or understand why it did not do it for the galvanized tub.

Very easy to use goes on smooth. How long it lasts and stands up to the elements is yet to be determined.

In the 80's the builders never caulk or frame in crawlspace completely. Used this good clear caulk to fill in, works great.

The white silicon caulk provided an excellent mechanical bond between the top edge of my solar light pipe and the replacement acrylic dome. Additionally, it sealed the junction zone between the pipe and the dome making it both weather and insect proof. I am very pleased with the silicon caulk's ability to seal that area. The acrylic dome had been damaged by large hail and both the silicon caulk and the replacement dome were available from Home Depot.

I caulked using this silicone for ease of use and lasting quality. It works great!

The color is spot on and easy clean up. Little to no shrinkage

This product work in my kitcken.

I used this to caulk the edge between my concrete garage floor and a low concrete wall, where I was worried salty water would flow off my car in the winter. I pre-taped both sides of the edge before placing the caulk, so I would end up with a clean-looking job. I place with a caulk gun, and smooth it with my finger. Always keep lots of dripping wet paper towels handy to clean your finger afterwards. Worked beautifully as always, adhered nicely to the concrete. Color matches the (light grey) concrete perfectly - - from a few feet away, you don't even notice it's there.

THE caulk to use for a multitude of purposes: both indoor and outdoor. I have chosen this caulk for years. Dries clear but is not paintable which is a slight downside. So far it has held up in the freeze/thaw of the mountains of upstate NY. Great for so many interior projects also.

Used it around the fireplace worked great.

Used this to set our new Swan Drop-In/Undermount Granite 33 in. 1-Hole 60/40 Double Bowl Kitchen Sink in Nero. Put down some blue painters tape along the sink edge on counter top, caulk joint. Then wipe......NO, use a cut off straw to profile the bead and remove excess at the same time.

Yikes! my application of this product did not cure at all. Its now 24 hours after application. I Applied Silicone II generously around a 3" dia Glass jar bottom and glued it to an Ornamental 5"x5" Cedar canopy. I then housed a roll of 100 led copper wire fairy string lights in the Glass Jar to make an Ornamental Exterior Light . I made 3 of these Light. I hung the 3 lights, at dusk, outside and tuned on the battery powered operator. Around 12:00 pm I heard a crash, and noticed that one of the lights had fallen to the concrete and smashed the Glass jar, while the Cedar canopy was still hanging from its supported chain. In the morning I took a putty knife and scrapped the sticky silicone from the remaining Cedar canopy. The sticky Silicone even this afternoon still adheres readily to my fingers. After examining the other 2 lights, I noticed its still possible to slightly move the Cedar canopy, hence there is no rigid bond between the Glass and the Cedar. Used to make a 55 gallon glass aquarium. Three weeks later, it's still water tight. Directions were complete, product performed as described.

I wouldn't use anything less than GE silicone calk for my recent window replacement job - nothing less would settle! Highly recommended!

This stuff is exactly what I was looking for - a waterproof, filler for some custom cutting I had to do for ditch lights. I had to trim my windshield plastic rain guards and used this in a caulk gun to fill the voids. Literally rained the night after I applied it and just as promised, was waterproof in 30 minutes doing exactly what I needed. Highly recommend!
