It was easy to use but it didn’t help me

I had tried other bolt extractors and none worked till this one. It is definitely worth having in your toolbox.

Worked as a charm. Trick is to use high torque in my disruption.

These bits did what I needed. I had a stripped out lower shock bolt. I hit the 9/16 socket on and the impact got it right off

How do you know what SIZE bolts these remove????? SIZES aren't listed ANYWHERE.

These work! Rounded and stripped bolt, no problem. However, they took the heads off the bolts with lock tight in them. I recommend 10/10 times. Product was awesome.

These things didn't do absolutely anything for a stripped oil pan bolt. They stink. Do not buy

I bought the gear wrench bolt bitter set for a specific job. I had car exhaust manifold bolts round from a cheaper extraction set i bought that didn't work and left me more in a jam. I watched reviews and read alot, i liked the idea that they are supposed to work with out hammering them on which i needed cause of the tight space. I also noticed that much of home depot reviews are from gear wrench site in which I wasn't to trusting about. I bought the 28 piece extraction set so I would have the half sizes and be sure to get all the bolts out. I was skeptical because of the straight flutes but hey they are the experts. Lol. Well I got the sockets and fingers crossed i found the snug tight size and thought well here's the test ready, grunt slipped and made the bolt more round and damaged. Wow. Ok i got the half size slightly tapped it on nice and square tight, OK we are good now ready grunt slipped around now im really in trouble. I thought well maybe I should bring it to my mechanic they have the best tools for this kinda stuff. But being in my 50 s, and the job was easy once or if i can get the bolts off. I had purchased another brand that I reviewed but now nervous cause the bolt bitter made it worse not much bolt and damaged the threads a little, I thought well I have to try these now I'm really skeptical but tapped the other brand on nice straight and snug . Ready grunt tink the bolt turned with a firm grip and didn't let go . Ratchet, Ratchet and out it came wow it blew bolt bitter away. Awesome. Now I still have 3 similar rounded bolts left. The next one I couldn't use a hammer to tap the extraction socket on. Guess what I thought ok maybe I will try the bolt bitter on this one found a snug tight straight size felt a grip seems good. Ready grunt slipped and rounded the bolt more. I thought really come on. Well I have to find a way to use the other brand or i am done. Tried the other brand and used a flat wrench to apply pressure and wedge it on as straight and square as possible. Feels good seems like a good grip. Ready tink , yeah the bolt is out. Wow. Gear wrench fails again. I got all the bolts out with the other brand and I also gave bolt bitter one more chance on the catalytic converter Tried the right size slipped again , tried half size smaller slipped and rounded again. Used other brand tink Ratchet, Ratchet, bolt off. Boom done. Gear wrench failed beyond belief and would have cost me a thousand dollars if I didn't have the other brand. I think gear wrench sends these tools free to the reviewers for a good review. Cause using is believing and these failed easily. Sorry for the long review but wanted to share my full experience. I can't wait to return this product very disappointing . Hope i save you guys some time and money. I didn't mention the other brand cause it is a review of this gear wrench product. I am in the Salt belt area FYI.

Great bolt extractors, but a little pricey.

Had a small rounded-head bolt in hard-to-access space. Couldn't grip with locking pliers. Bolt Biter removed the bolt as easily as if the head were perfect. Replaced the bolt, but could have put the old bolt back with Bolt Biter.

Super strong sockets. Abused them pretty hard on a project and almost no signs of ware. Would have been 5 stars but the storage solution isn’t great. Sockets keep falling off in my bag.

I love these things!! They have paid for them selves in the first use!! Other brands I have tried because they were cheap do not do the job, but these are a game changer!!

Heavy duty sockets that do the job!!

These extractors have already gotten me out of a few situations very easily. I’ve had a few almost perfect circles they were somehow able to grab and remove. Nothing worse than having to drill a bolt so pick these up!

This was a heavier set than expected, also meaning the sockets are made well and quite durable. Comes with a good mix of sizes for plenty of different projects.

A lot of the vehicles we see in our shop have rust or corrosion. This set will not only save us time & money allowing us to be more efficient in our daily tasks and team goals. My Mother had a stubborn bolt that refused to come off of her toilet where the seat connects to the base. After her husband and my now ex-boyfriend (lol) could not do anything but make it worse. I decided to bring over the Bitter Set for my mother to try. I put the tool in her hand, told her which way to turn it and BOOM! Not even 5 seconds later bolt was off! Saving her money on parts and also a few hundred in labor! Thank you GearWrench!
