Grohe (pronounced "grow-ee") is a German company that makes this faucet. Grohe is known for higher end plumbing fixtures. This one is also well made. It has smooth operation, and time will tell how long the cartridge will last. Please note, this faucet does NOT have a drain piece as most faucets do. This model doesn't accept one either, but the model 32642.. does. If you get this one you must use the push pop up style sink drain. They don't do a good job warning you of this. The way the describe the part it seems almost like you don't need it instead of not getting it. Note, the push style pop up drain requires you to put your hand in the water and push the drain down to release the spring for the drain to pop up. If you don't want to get your hand wet, to drain the water, you have to find something to push the device with. Those style drains cost between $15 and $35 in most stores.

This faucet feels solid and operates smoothly. The faucet with lines and the parts to attach it to a one hole sink are included. What is absent from the box is a plate to attach it to a sink with more than one hole. In my case our sinks have three holes and there is no optional plate available for this type of installation. If such a plate were available I'd rate it higher.

We will be installing them in about 2 weeks so can't attest to their functioning, but they are beautifully made--a very high quality finish. They are what you'd expect from German engineering.

Installation instructions provided did not match with Drain stopper kit included with faucet. Able to install Drain stopper kit using critical thinking skills. Faucet looks and appears to be of high quality.

The picture doesn't do it justice. This faucet is larger than it looks and is also a gorgeous brushed nickel color. The color in the pic on the website appears to be more gold than silver in color. Very easy installation, the instructions are simple to follow and it took less than 20 mins to remove our old faucet and install this one. This is a single hole faucet and your vanity should also have one hole. It is very elegant and has a sleek appearance. Water flow is good and smooth operation of the handle. Like it a lot!

Grohe makes superb faucets, but they are a little harder to install because of how beefy all the parts are. I think this makes for a longer lasting faucet than the major 4 brands that home depot carries. And, best of all Grohe makes many faucets that are at an affordable price point. The water pressure and feel of the valve are excellent. The finish looks elegant & great.

Prior to purchasing this faucet, it is recommended that you examine the installation instructions and parts list on the website. This faucet has an optional deck plate that must be ordered if required for installation in certain applications. The deck plate comes from the manufacturer at an additional expense. In my case, the optional deck plate is required, but upon contacting the manufacturer, it is both expensive and it is backordered. Nice faucet, needs more parts!

The faucet was perfect for the use. Good price, easy installation, good performance. It was great doing business with Home Depot for this purchase!
