I use this slatwall product in every closet. You do need the correct hooks, baskets or shelves to fit in the grooves. (I found mine at a store fixture place), but then you can hang anything from slatwall!

Does the job I want it to do

It was just what I needed

Worked great in our new garage.

Delivered undamaged, metal inserts fit perfectly, I just mounted to the studs a 4x8 piece of plywood then mounted the slatwall on top of it. The slatwall covered the plywood perfect.

Particle board which I expected. The problem I have with the product is that when you use the hooks etc. in the slots, the top of the slot tends to rip out under load. I hung an 18 lb bike on a fitting especially designed for bikes and the top lip ripped out. I needed to screw the bike holder into the unit to get it to hold. Looks good though.

Inconsistent from panel to panel. When panels are put end to end groves don’t line up.

Installed it. I know the manufacturer claims it’s more durable, seems like ordinary particle board to my untrained eye. I’m curious if it will survive Florida humidity. Still, clean and neat, and it looks good with the aluminum channels added. Note that the channels are a different size than other brands. If you just buy the aluminum reinforcement tracks, they won’t fit in cheaper track panels.

I actually like the product, but I've order 3 sets of 2 panels with the aluminum inserts! One of the sets was missing one of the aluminum inserts! I called Home Depot and they said to return the merchandise and get a replacement. However, I didn't discover that I was missing one insert until I had already installed the panel and drilled through the other inserts. I called the GarageEscape using the Home Depot provided number 8 time and they never answer their phone. All I wanted was one insert to replace the missing one!

The size made the panels easy to handle. The finish on the face and the ends was better than I expected, so that was a pleasant surprise because I bought the panels to paint and put in my office. The panels equal eight feet together, but I only needed six feet. They cut easily and cleanly with one person on a table saw, so I was happy about that as well.
