I purchased this and a competitor's similar in-store product. When applying the two, I noticed a distinct difference in the two. The other product solution had some of the polymer aggregating into small clumps in solution. The Ghostshield 8505 was a very homogeneous slightly milky white solution and uniform in appearance. Both products worked as advertised in repelling rain water and not significantly changing the appearance of the concrete. So if you want a higher quality waterproofer at a possibly higher price - then this is an excellent option. Applied with brush and roller. The roller works but I had one with too long a nap and it tended to spray it around quite a bit too much. Sponge mop and short nap roller should work.

I have only applied the 8505 in this last week. It went on somewhat the way the directions said. New (60 day since laid) concrete applied much different than older (20 & 10 yr). I have yet to test anything looking like water or oil repellency. But so far ... ok.

I just parked a car in my garage and the car leaked oil on the newly sealed concrete. All I had to do was spray Zep citrus degreaser, hose off the oil and there was no stain - the oil was gone. Works very well.

Used a sprayer and it went on easy. I does darken it a little but I did put a heavy coat on as it was on my shop floor and was not concerned about it darkening the surface.

Water sheeting is great! Siloxa-Tek 8505 has been very easy to clean up oil spills or dirt from our pavers. Any and all stains come completely clean with minimal scrubbing. We have had our pavers sealed for over 4 years and we are resealing this year to assure continued protection.

I have never sealed anything before but after installing a new concrete driveway I wanted to protect it early on especially from road salts. Very water resistant after application and applies easily with a garden sprayer. Claims have been 100% spot on - no marketing gimmicks here. Driveway still looks new after last winter - and it was a bad one. No change to the look of my driveway, I didnt want it to change because I like the nice white concrete color it has. No issues with any leaks I pressure washed my driveway in the spring and it still looks as good as new.

When properly applied as directed (yes follow the directions. It’s quite simple ! The deck dry looks like regular concrete. No slippery. Can’t even tell it’s on. Get it wet and the water just beads up ! Works so well you can take a leaf blower after a rainfall and you have dry concrete !

Product was easy to mix up and apply. After several rains, repelling water as expected. We'll see how well it works throughout the winter.

Used this for a cinder block wall and pavers in front and back. Super easy to use. We put it in our sprayer and sprayed it on. Personally I would never have rolled it or used a paint brush. Followed the instructions for applying 2 coats. Let dry overnight. Tested a small part in the morning and got water beads so it didn’t go through! took 30 ish mins to do 60 feet of brick wall.

Used for concrete driveway. Now to wait a few years to see how it holds up.

Have used the Siloxa-Tek 8500 before and have gotten great results. I use it on my driveway which gets a lot of road salt, and before using the sealer I started to get some salt damage near the street. I chose the Siloxa-Tek 8505 this time because I wanted the extra stain protection.

The end result is a nice and durable floor which looks industrial but also has some protection against stains.

This is the second time that I have used this product - the first time was back in 2016. It works great and is easy to apply.

Does great with repelling water but not so great with repelling oil.... I should not have gone with the water based product, should have used the Siloxa-Tek 8510 on my shop floor based on the amount of oil exposure it sees on a daily basis.

I can not have a complete opinion until next spring. The price and apparent quality are very good. The application was easy. It dried and repelled water very well. But I don’t know how it will fare with road salts and staining.

Mixes and applies easily with a pump up sprayer. Penetrates quickly during application and water repellency is noticablen after one hour. Does not change the color of treated concrete.

The product is easy to apply and dries fast. Hoping it will really help with staining

Great product so far. Easy to apply and water runs off the concrete. We will see how long it lasts. Can't comment yet on the stain repellency.

Easy to apply. Water beads up on concrete like water on a freshly waxed car hood. Much easier to clean concrete now! Lou at Ghostshield was very helpful and order was shipped the same day!

Had my 2 year old poured concrete, power scrubbed and power washed a day prior to using this sealer.  I did a lot of calculating on how much to use and how many square feet to apply the first coat, then the second coat.  I used a battery powered sprayer and it all worked out so easy and so well, I was very pleased the way it easily went on and since the day being so perfect in applying it, I could see it seep in and start to dry.  I really like this product.  I did let it cure for the 24 hour period recommended.  Thinking to let it cure a little longer, I did do some watering of grass, some of the water from the sprinkler hit the edge of the driveway, seeing it already sit on top in little puddles.

Works as indicated. Good sealer works very well to repel water. Spilled a little oil on the surface but it literally needs to be cleaned up instantly in order to not stain.

I got off to a bad start by diluting an already diluted product after thinking I had received the concentrated version. Subsequent applications on the new floor failed to absorb properly. Consequently leaks are slow to absorb but nevertheless they do. I also had fiber in the concrete which may have exacerbated the situation. Even so the customer service helped me as much as possible so I will recommend the product with the caveat to read directions carefully.

I purchased this to seal a concrete patio, sidewalk, and driveway, all about ten years old and in perfect condition. Carefully calculated the area to be covered, so that I wouldn't over or under-buy. Powerwashed the surfaces and let them dry for two sunny days. The Siloxa-Tek mixed well with distilled water, and applied easily with a hand-pump sprayer. Did two coats, about 10 minutes apart, as recommended. It applied easily and dried reasonably quickly on a cloudy day. The product didn't seem to be absorbed into the driveway as well as it was in the patio and sidewalk. Took quite a bit less product to cover thoroughly than I expected (directions say to not overapply and let it pool on the surface); I was left with three quarts of concentrate after finishing the job. Could have saved some money by buying less product. It is amazing to see how water doesn't soak into the concrete after application. So far, so good. We'll see if I get ten years out of the one application. Only issue now is that my tire tracks show up in the driveway, way more than they did before I applied Siloxa-Tek. Don't know if this is related to the product or something else, but it's not very attractive, and since I'm the only one in the neighborhood who's sealed his driveway this way, I'm the only one whose driveway shows tracks. I'm hoping that rain will wash this surface dirt away.

After a full Winter season the cleaned and sealed concrete surface around the pool looks great. Very pleased with the ease of application and the overall results. Thanks Ghostshield!

I purchased this product because I thought that it would protect my flagstone driveway from oil stains. It didn't perform up to my expectations and was expensive. Cool name and packaging though.

Patios, porch and sidewalk. Clear when dry. Water sheds when raining.
