Good set to organize my garage. Like the flexibility of the tracking system to hang all of my tools and gardening items.

As it went into the arena (my garage) to do battle against strange foes (namely screw drivers, power tools, and assorted gardening supplies), the Gladiator it held its ground. With ample room to store my hardware knickknacks and long since forgotten stings of Christmas lights with burned out bulbs, this shelf unit is giving business class service for economy pricing. Do yourself a favor and buy this bad boy.

This product is exactly what my dad was looking for to organize he's new garage in a new house. Thanks Home Depot for having it on sale just at the right time. Fit, and finish was on par with other products in the Gladiator line up.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We were looking to get a unit that we could lock and this is perfect! We have a small area to be able to work with and this 6' tall by 3' wide storage unit is PERFECT FIT. We are using it for a variety of things from our chemicals to our tools and because it locks we know our items are secured. This unit took less than half an hour for my husband to put together with the tools provided with the exception of a Phillips head screw driver, but don't be fooled by how easy it is to put together! This unit is sturdy and is not flimsy at all with 4 great shelves that are adjustable with the exception of the middle one and a right side magnetized door. I highly recommend this to anyone who has limited space, in need of security and stability, because GearBox is great!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Received this 11/23; my husband, who is 70, started assembling this on Saturday morning by himself. It took him 5.25 hours, which he thought was really good! He was impressed with the simplicity and straightforwardness of the instructions and the quality of the product. He thinks that this is a product that will last a lifetime. He thinks that he will be looking for more of these products from Gladiator.

Easy to assemble, though a second person is useful for some lifting and getting the cabinets square and level. I have four and they look great in my garage. They appear to be very well constructed as witnessed by the ease of assembly.

Some confusion when assembling, due to the arrows and where they pointed on the pieces, so double check the orientation of the parts before assembly. We had to take it apart and re-do a few times, but other than that, it was pretty straight forward. It looks great once put together!!! We use it for storing a mess of office supplies. Wish there were access holes in the back (for power wiring of devices), but we left a middle panel off of the back and that did the trick...plus it would be easy to drill holes in the back if needed wherever wanted. Overall - Really happy with the purchase and a great buy for the price!

Bought this for general garage storage as I was tired of seeing all the various junk on my wooden shelves. I use it to hold some power tools, assorted hardware, tape, gloves, work lights, etc. This thing is heavy in the box, I mean heavy. I have a P/U truck so I left the box in the bed, tore open the end, and removed the sections one at a time. Installation was easy: set up a tarp or some cardboard on the floor, lay down a side section, attach the top and bottom sections, lay opposite side section on the vertical ends, and there's the basic frame. Then lay it on its front face, put each back panel on in order as they sort of interlock, lightly bolt the perimeter, screw in the foot pads and stand the entire thing up, attach middle bolts to back panels, tighten everything down. Shelves and doors are last and fair simple though I recommend attaching doors very last because youll need the reaching room to secure the shelf bolts. One thing I did differently with the shelves was use longer 10/32 bolts on both side with a nut holding them straight and tight. I notched the holes in the shelves so theyre open, now I can just pop the shelf off the bolts rather than having to completely unbolt which is a pain. The doors are simple to attach: elongated holes top and bottom allow for hanging the door on the upper bolt and attaching the rest of the bolts without trying to hold the door up simultaneously. Easy to adjust too, just slide the doors around a bit on the loose bolts then tighten for a perfect fit. There is none of that metal scrape and ding that older such cabinets had, the doors dont touch top or bottom so theyre essentially silent. The door magnets are problematic in their original configuration though. Two of my shelves had magnets but only on the right side. Now, the left side door does have to be closed first, but the problem is that the left door has a gap between the shelf and door itself when the magnets are grabbing the right door, so the left door clatters even when closed. Bump the cabinet...*clatter*...get a strong breeze in the garage...*clatter*...you get the idea. Also, the magnet depth pushes the right door out just enough that the bottom door edge is not flush with the frame. I remounted the magnet strip (very strong magnets btw) to the left side door exactly where the right door closes over it, they grab that door instead and when closed there's more then enough hold to secure the right door too. The leveling feet are ok but could be a bit longer. Where my cabinet sits in the slope of my garage floor the lower feet were almost all the way out to allow any decent clearance of the upper feet. I used a poly block under each lower foot so I could get better clearance and have the feet threaded in further. I added a pic of the foot blocks for reference. All in all its a very nice cabinet. I replaced some old wooded kitchen cabinets I had in the garage and have downsized my entire storage footprint; I wanted more of an industrial look, less of a kitchen look. The shelves hold a good amount of stuff, the shelf flex is not bad and the entire thing is rock solid once adjusted and leveled. Took me 2 hours to completion but that included getting the doors perfect and leveling it all, actual assembly time about 1 hour. Pros: Solid unit if leveled correctly, lots of space, beautiful finish on doors and frame, isn't "clanky" like older metal cabinets, uses factory-installed nut plates for the frame so relatively easy to assemble. Cons: Shelves are meant to be bolted to frame which makes moving them difficult, a peg system would improve it; leveling feet should be longer; add an extra shelf (comes with 4, would be better with 5); shelves could use some reinforcement across the middle; only 1 key, if you lose that key after locking the cabinet youre in trouble.

The Gladiator cabinet was easy to assemble by myself. The box it comes in is very heavy. If you can have someone help you unload it. The cabinet is very well made and holds a lot. I use it to organize my paint, Oil, car wash and cleaning products. It is in my garage and looks great.

I was surprised at the quality of this unit. Admittedly, I was skeptical while ordering it but found it to be easy to assemble and sturdy once I had completed the build. If you're picky like me you'll find this unit a welcomed addition. I must note that I purchased this at 30% off during a sale so that factors into my recommendation.

Super easy to assemble and very good fit for all the pieces. I put this together by myself, and once you unpack the box and make sure you have all the pieces going the right way, it goes together pretty quickly. Just be sure you have the sides, top and bottom facing the right way before you put too many screws in so the back panels’ screw holes are in the right spot. Fit and finish is super, doors are easily installed and also can be adjusted for perfect alignment. I wish it had a fourth shelf if I have to find a negative. Very sharp looking cabinet!

Easy to assemble and sturdy. Just needed to adjust the doors so they were even but that was an easy fix. Best to assemble with 2 people.

This cabinet is easy to assemble, as long as you think it through before screwing screws in. There are pictures showing how to assemble but the verbage is short so you are relying on pictures more than clear instructions. There was extra parts included and that makes me think we missed something in the assembly process. However, once assembled, the cabinet exceeds expectations! I will be purchasing more of these cabinets and finishing off my garage with them. They hold a lot of stuff and make the garage look tidy.

Purchased while on sale,needed more storage,great cabinet

Looks great and seems sturdy enough except for one thing. The shelves do not have any reinforcement which makes then feel a bit flimsy and limits the amount of weight that can be stored withoutr seriously bending the shelf. I honestly I don't understand why they could not have welded in some reinforcement along the bottom of the shelf to give the shelves a bit more rigidity and strength. Also, the shelves are held in with screws, which is fine until you need to move a shelf and then it becomes a pain. It would have been better, in my opinion to, have reinforced shelves that use easily repositioned shelf brackets so the shelves can be repositioned easily.

Ideal storage units make organizing the garage quick and easy. Love the clean look. Easy to assemble, sturdy construction. Only thing I wish they would add one more shelf, I have a lot of dead space between and could use another shelf. We bought two and will buy a couple more for the other garages.

Just bought this cabinet to complement the two 24 x 24" cabinets hanging over my work bench. Looks great, arrived in good condition, although the box had a pretty serious gash the cabinet was not damaged. I like the fact that they use shaped, corrugated cardboard as padding inside the box and not styrofoam. Easy to assemble. It says it takes two people but, while it would be easier with two, it can be assembled by one person if you have an IQ above room temperature (Lay the unit on its back to install the shelves). I deducted one star for two reasons: 1. The shelves are not reinforced. As such, they feel a bit flimsy. (I plan to add my own reinforcement but I should NOT have to do this. No reason they could not add a cross member along the bottom length of the shelves, which would provide for more weight capability and overall strength IMHO. 2. Only 1 key comes with this unit. Seriously? Come on folks, include a second key!

Purchased three of these. All of them has the sides drilled in the opposite direction of the pre-threaded holes. Poor quality control! I had to re-drill new holes for each one. It was either that or return them, which weighs over 100 lbs each.

Very good cabinet that assembles easy and quick. It is made by Whirlpool. I have three in my garage and makes neat looking storage.

it will perfect with casters

I recently installed the Gladiator wall panels over a 12' x 6' section in my garage. I wanted to maximize the wall space for storage while adding a work bench. I had one of the smaller Ready-to-Assemble cabinets and knew what to expect from this one. They are easy to assemble, just a ton of screws. I liked that I could get wall mounting brackets for this cabinet and hang it with the smaller ones. My only concern was would it be able to handle the advertised weight on each shelf and overall. I have loaded the cabinet to about 80% of it's rated weight, evenly distributed over each shelf, with no bowing or sagging. There are 3 wall brackets (not included) that lock the cabinet to the wall panels, unlike the smaller cabinets which only use one. This was only 1 piece used for this project, but it does exactly what I need it to do. It allows me to store my tools and supplies out of sight, but easily accessible.

Easy to assemble - rugged, durable and we especially like the fact that it is off the floor with the screw in legs. Part of the problem with a regular storage cabinet is that the bottom touches the floor and eventually rots out in damp surroundings.

Beautiful design and quality. Very easy to build and install by myself. Love the magnetic doors and how well the overall quality. There are two negatives keeping these Gladiator cabnites from being perfect. One is the fact the doors can look off. It takes a lot of tweaking to make look close to perfect. Second, is having them pushed together side-by-side, due to the bolts touching each other... little hard to explain. I ordered mine online with free delivery to the home (the way to go). My issue is boxed where damaged and so are the cabinets. Had to use rubber hammer to try and make look good, not perfect. Does drive me nuts looking at the flaws from shipping. Can't complain too much as I received these from a one day only sale. Did a complete overhaul of garage using Gladiator cabinets, countertop, and overhead storage all from homedepot.com

Very well constructed and easy to put together. I may purchase more that go with this finish in the near future for my garage. I use this one for all of my sprinkler parts, I have 3 different sizes of pipes, and I needed to get them all in one place.

Doors a little flimsy, but all in all good item for price
