As beautiful as it is functional!
This 3-tiered planter is so nice, I am considering buying another. The directions were concise and easy to follow; all materials were in good shape, and went together as promised. I did put a clear water resistant finish on the outside, appearance of wood seemed nicer that way. My only complaint: now I need to decide what to plant come spring!

It looks great!
You do not need instruction for this. It was easy to assemble. The cedar bed went together easily and is sturdy. And it still looks great

Love My New Cedar Garden Beds
Just transformed my whole backyard area from an unused section, (that I only visited when I went in to mow) to a garden filled with vegetables, fruits and berries. I used various sizes of the cedar kits from The Home Depot. Priced many other options and styles, and thought these were decent beds for the price. I had most of them shipped to my house, and they arrived quicker than expected. Assembly was super easy, and although like others have said, they didn't come with instructions, I really didn't need them. Only tool I used was a rubber mallet and a screwdriver. Yes, the wood could be a touch warped here and there, and isn't thick, heavy wood, but it is fine. I added peat, perlite and vermiculite to my soil mix to lighten it up, so am not worried about the soil pushing out the boards. I didn't want to spend long weeks doing all the carpentry to build garden beds, so for me, this was a perfect option. I am hoping to get 10 years or so of use from these, even with our rough Ohio winters. The photos I've added show not only the 4'x4' bed, but some of the other styles offered as well. One more side note, only one piece in all my kits was missing, a side corner. I called the manufacturer, and they had it out to me right away. They were incredibly nice on the phone and really helpful. I would definitely buy more of these as needed as I am truly satisfied with my purchase.

Easy to put together
It was worth the money not to have to build them myself but cheaply made. Working out great and veggies are growing in them.

Raised Garden
This raised garden was quick and easy to assemble. I like that the back portion is higher than the front, it keeps my plants in front from blocking light for the tomatoes. The quality is average for the price, but what I expected. I'm very happy with it.

Wow, what a fantastic product!
This raised garden is better than I imagined. It was simple to assemble without any tools. The cedar frame slide together quickly and securely. The instructions were easy to follow. I have ample space for all the vegetable and herb plants I intended to grow. With limited deck space, the tiered feature is perfect. The products offered on the website included a "how to" video which was very easy to access and helpful in my decision to purchase this product. After seeing my completely planted garden, my sister immediately bought one in a different configuration to grow her salsa garden. I'm thrilled.

Easy to build and nice-looking.
Simple to assemble and attractive, these are a nice addition to a backyard garden. I lost my butterfly bushes over this last horrid winter and wanted to put in a little butterfly garden. This was a perfect size for my project. They look like a nice, finished product with very little work - it's amazing what a difference the post caps make. They are a little pricy for the materials but I know I wouldn't have wanted to take the time to cut dovetails, so there you go. I'm jealous of the reviewer who got them for ten dollars since I'd want to get another one!

Gardening made easy.
This set goes together in no time. I would like to see thicker boards but the item is easier to pack and ship as is. It holds the dirt well enough so it's doing what it's suppose to do. I like the units a lot. I would purchase again.

Ideal backyard garden
I bought two, single-tier raised garden kits, and was so pleased with how they worked out that I decided to add these. The reason I went with the three-tiered this time is to give root vegetables more depth in the rich soil (Florida "soil" is mostly sand, which doesn't nourish many vegetables very well). The kit says to fill with 19+ cubic feet of soil. I actually used 23 cubic feet, and could have added more, to get the top tier fuller. But what I did use is adequate. (BTW: I have no idea why the photo turned upside down when uploading!)

Great addition to your backyard!
Great wooden planter. This was easy to put together and looks sharp too. The size makes it easy to mow around for yard upkeep. The planting area is spacious with a row depth of 16". For those "square foot planters" out there, I hope you paid attention in math class! A neat looking planter that will allow novices and experts to dabble in gardening.

I wanted the 4'x8'x10.5" and got this instead.
After leveling the ground I laid down some good weed barrier. Don't skip this part if you want to keep the good soil in the bed and not let it leach into the soil you didn't want to plant in! I built the sides and secured the corners then pulled the weed barrier inside and stapled it to the inside of the bed. This will keep your soil inside the bed and weeds outside. One problem I did find was that a few of the cedar boards were warped on the narrow side, not the wide side like you might expect, so when the sides were assembled there were gaps that let the soil fall through the wide 'cracks' in the sides. The top caps were also not pre-drilled like they said they'd be so a screwdriver alone will not be enough unless you want to split the wood. The good news! I emailed Greenes Fence and told them about the warped pieces and asked them about the drilled caps. I got an email the next day from FedEx telling me i have a package coming in a couple of days from Greenes. I also found an email from Greenes saying they were sending me a few boards to replace the warped ones. What great customer service! I asked in another email about the caps and also to thank them and they responded saying the caps are not pre-drilled, but the video, ads, and in print I saw somewhere all said they were and just a screwdriver was all you needed. Someone is wrong here and pictures don't lie. I'm happy they sent me replacements so fast so I'll drill the holes. I may not use the caps as they stick out and I don't want anyone catching a leg on the corner due to a narrow walkway on either side of the bed. I may just drill it as an offset just to lock the sides in swivel away, and remain flush on the outside corners, if I need to remove a board later.

Sweet Planting Bed
This is the two tier 4’ x 8’ kit. The assembled bed is attractive. It comes as a single box containing 4-foot planks. The wood is rough cut and the tongue and groove appear to have been milled with a 300 HP cheese grater, but all the tongues had enough definition to perform their intended function namely to interlock with the six posts. Assembly of the slats into the support post slots was quick and easy. The price was very affordable and probably cheaper than buying lumber having it delivered and then having me butcher a hand made frame. The package arrived intact and in the amount of time one would expect for complimentary shipping. I will buy several more of these planting beds. For planning purposes, ten bags of planting soil filled the two tiers.

Outstanding product
This product was easy to put together. I painted the cedar to match house and help make it last longer. I had already purchased a similar product but returned because this raised bed garden was bigger and cheaper - much better value.

Easy peasey garden easy
Quick and easy garden assembly. Just add soil and plants for an instant garden bed. I love the versatility and intend to add more pieces from this container garden product line. Perfect for anyone who wants to avoid tilling and strenuous soil prep.

A very good idea carried out in a good product at a reasonable price.
Very satisfactory. Directions of assembly were abbreviated and could benefit by clearer definition. We did apply one coat of cedar stain in medium cedar to match our fence and to protect the Greenes product.

Kit was better than building it from lumber as long as the dimensions are OK with you.
This garden bed was something I stumbled across as I was preparing to design my own raised bed. It happened to be that the dimensions were exactly what I wanted, so as long as the dimensions work for you, I would definitely recommend this over building one yourself. The wood is cedar. It's moderately thin cut planks, but they've been holding up well. The assembly was easy....much better than cutting my own lumber. The dimensions are pretty unchangeable, but there are other add-ons that you can buy to expand and rearrange. The look of it is somewhat unfinished. If you want this in your front yard, it would require painting or sanding/staining to look good.

    Luv my garden !
Perfect size! The tiers make for easy access & good depth for tomatoes on top, middle for peppers & basil, bottom for lettuce & herbs. Structure is sturdy, so easy to assemble, and luv that I can easily add on this same garden next year if I want. I couldn't be happier!

Super pleased with my 3-tier gardening venture
Beyond a few potted plants with mixed results last year, this 3-tiered garden is a first venture for me into gardening. It was VERY quick and easy to install. I'm not sure how well the thin wood slats will hold up beyond this first year, but the price was right for my experiment. I suspect it's best to assemble quickly or else the wood might tend to warp in storage -- especially in humid regions; I took immediate action. I planted several different lettuces, chard and two varieties of green beans. Several weeks later, they are all doing quite well. As an absolute beginner, I would have appreciated an info sheet with some basic gardening tips such as what works best in a raised bed, preferred sun placement, etc. Overall, this is a GREAT start point for me. I am very happy with the product. In fact, all my neighbors have commented about how nice it looks.

      Great project for kids!
My husband and 2 year old daughter put ours together and she had a blast! We had no trouble with bowing boards, maybe soome filled with heavier soil then we did? We rent so we are not planning on this box lasting twenty years, so light weight and simple assembly were perfect. Our daughter is so excited about growing veggies and proud that she built the garden "all by herself." And with the little finishing caps it looks so pretty!

Attractive and very easy to assemble
My sister and I put together 2 of these with just an electric drill and a hammer. They were very easy to assemble. The only issue was that the edges were quite rough--someone who wanted a perfect product would have to do a lot of sanding.

These garden boxes are easy to put together, look great, and provide the perfect function they were meant for. We used two kits all put together to give us 5 4x4foot raised beds, which provides room to grow a feast!

      Great for square foot gardening
Purchased this in early spring to grow some vegetables this year. Assembly was a snap and the cedar should hold up for many seasons. I filled it with "Mels mix" and grew some outstanding veggies this year. I can't wait to start planting the fall garden.
