Very Bright compared to the alternative. I have had it for a month now and it continues to perform as brand new. I primarily use it between 5pm and 7am and it feels like daytime outside whenever it comes on. And I like the fact that it is energy saving and last twice as long as the other types. It also looks really cool. Dislikes? I cannot think of any right now.

Great light output. Even and thorough coverage. I have found typical standard LED on an A19 base focuses light downward mostly. This corn cob model does a great job shining light both outwards and down. The bulb driver illuminates instantly. Great color. 3510 lumens are beyond ample for a 27w LED bulb. A 5 year warranty is nice piece of mind as well.

Tons of light in a regular socket using far less power. I love it. It is super simple and works with any existing light socket. I use it in my garage where I dont need anything but tons of light. You can see the pics attached. Its big but really packs a punch. The color is a little cooler and not as warm as an incandescent but in my garage im not very concerned about that.

I've now got two of these in a 5'x5'x6'5" grow tent, the other 54 true watts; since there are fruiting cacti in there I try to keep temps as close to 95f as possible, but can only get humidity up to around 30%. I've had no heat issues with either bulb; they seem well ventilated and heat-sunk; I don't know where the driver is nor what it looks like, but apparently it's fine in this environment. And, while the picture shows this above some lazy mango seeds, I've since moved it in the middle of braids of passion fruit vines which smother it, and again, no heat failure, and of course the LED chips themselves are perfectly cool at all times.

Do you need to light a BIG space but don't want to rewire? This huge bulb is it. Over 7200 lumens in bright white 5000K light! It fits a standard light bulb socket, no rewiring needed. This can also be used in older style fixtures, you just have to disconnect the ballast in that fixture first. I have these in the garage to replace 100 watt incandescent bulbs. I get 4 times the light and use only 56 watts each. It rocks! Dimensions of the bulb are: 10 inches Tall with base. 4 inches Wide There is a shirt delay when you flip the switch and then the light comes on, full brightness from the start. No warm up period like CFLs. This makes working in the shop so much nicer. Having these bulbs ten feet up in the rafters lights up the garage like a basketball stadium. Easy to install, long lasting and low power draw makes this a winner. I'd recommend it.

Halcon 54W LED light bulb Got this one to put into a fixture on my parking lot that head mercury vapor 175W bulb in it along where I had installed an incandescent floodlight that produced very limited useful light and only in a very small area like spot light. This lights bulb lights the entire back of the building, and most of it with sufficient light, for less wattage than the floodlight 2X75W plus mercury vapor of 175W. It is a relatively large unit at nearly 12 inches long and 4 inches in diameter, and much heavier than a standard bulb at 1.5 pounds. I would have LIKED something brighter, but this met and exceeds my "expectation" and I am very pleased with it. Longevity remains to be seen. If it fails prematurely I will try to remember to come back and update this review. So I was using 2 floodlights of 75W=150W + 175W of Mercury vapor=325W and all of that I replace with one 54W LED bulb and 98 feet of paring lot is lighted properly and evenly unlike with previous setup. Be advice that if you have parking lot fixture with mercury vapor like me you will have to get rid of ballast and direct wire the bulb socket to 120V with living only photo cell in line on hot side which mean your light fixture will get lighter for about 3Lb.

The pictures were automatically dimmed down due to a 340w hps conversion and a 36,000 lm LED ufo; by way of comparison, the long panel behind the planters is allegedly 20,000 lm -- it feels a lot more like 10,000 lm -- and it's shamed by this corn cob. I've only recently gotten lights I can't look at, and this corn cob is one, it's piercing. To show how dim the pics are, that dark grey felt behind the plants? That's mylar, and surprisingly reflective, so all lights are far brighter than pictured, even the walls. I moved the pink donut more directly over the prickly pear the day after I installed both lights and took the pics; it had been growing more ears and faster than a control not in a grow tent, but the ears doubled in size in four days, pushing the ufo off balance. I think *maybe* the dragon fruit *might* have hinted at some lateral buds on install day; four days later I have a 3"x1" limb and several starters, still nothing on the control vine not in the grow tent. But, the day after install and for the next two days I worked out in front of the tent's 6" inline intake, which is supposed to be a day's worth of CO2 -- but, in a tent with a 4" inline pull, with three ~8"x3" floor flaps open, so who knows if any CO2 gathered long enough to make a difference. I'm new to prickly pears, so I can't gauge growth but this was about a 50% rate bump, and I've been at dragon fruit long enough to know they will do what they want when they want. With that large grain of salt, this and the pink donut *might* be super grow lights. *Might* not. They certainly didn't slow down any growth.

This HALCO Corn Cob LED light bulb is impressive. It is a huge bulb that measures just over 10 inches in length so it will not fit in lamps or most home use fixtures and of course it is not intended for such use. It can be used in commercial and industrial applications or in residential applications such as in a garage, workshop, shed, attic, etc. I installed it in my garage to replace another LED bulb and it made a huge difference. It throws light in all directions and the light is bright white 5000K temperature. The total light output is 7290 lumens. A typical 60W incandescent bulb provides ~800 lumens so this is equivalent to 9 60W bulbs. To be honest it does feel like it can replace 9 regular bulbs but the light output is impressive and it uses only 54W. It takes more than a second to turn ON but it provides full brightness immediately. If you are installing this in a fixture that has a ballast, capacitor, igniter then all those need to be removed before installing this LED bulb. This needs to be installed directly to the A/C line with no other components or electronics. Keep in mind that this bulb is non-dimmable.

I have used Corn Cobb lights in the past. This Daylight spectrum is a huge improvement over those. I got this for my attic, which is big, with no windows. There is only one ceramic ceiling mount fixture. Even with an 150W incandescent, I tend to bring a flashlight with me. Also, the switch for the attic is near the guest bedroom, and people tend to turn it On by mistake. It can be On for hours before I notice (typically, all night). This is much brighter than the 150W incandescent bulb it replaces, and uses 1/3 the power. All I had to do is unscrew the old bulb and then screw this in. Much easier, faster, and cheaper, than wiring and hanging two more fixture (which would have been the old solution). Worth pointing out ... it is real big and heavy (shipping weight was over 3 pounds). Has a 5 year Warranty, is non-dimmable, and although it is for Indoor/Outdoor, a 'Caution' on the bulb warns about use in damp and wet locations (see pic).

Just received the product and i am happy with it so far. I use it in my two car garage and it has the wide spread light dispersement I was looking for. I previously had a flood light which shot all of the light straight down. We'll see how long this lasts but for now its perfect. its also very blindingly bright.

I have one of these in my wood shop and it is VERY BRIGHT!!! Whenever you buy a LED bulb ALWAYS and I mean ALWAYS look at the BACK of the package!!!! There is a scale of the KELVIN temperature equalivant, a 2700K bulb gives off an ORANGE light. But if you go UP to the 4000 0r 5000 range you get a nice WHITE light, no matter what name is on the front. This bulb is for workshop use, and it will likely NOT fit into a regular lamp.

This is useful in replacing existing old technology lights (just remember to disconnect the ballast, as the high initial discharge will blow this light up), but also great for new custom installs. This is the equivalent of 250W mercury light with over 7000 lumens of light. It has a CRI (color rendering index) of 82, which isn't great but isn't bad. It can be mounted in traditional light fixture sockets, as it only draws 54W of power. I have put this into a softbox and it makes an incredible video light. I tried to photograph the light for images, but came up with nothing better than the stock photos. With it on, it was like shooting the sun.

100W Equivalent Cool White Corn Cob Non-Dimmable LED Light Bulb – This bulb is not an equivalent for a 100-Watt incandescent light bulb. A typical 100W bulb produces approximately 1600 lumens while this one provides 3645 lumens or about 2 and a quarter times 100W. That said, for a single bulb it does a great job lighting a corner of our basement. It has LEDs surrounding its length and a row around the end providing light in all directions. The LED color is a white light in the range of 4000K. The bulb itself is big and may not fit in a lot lamps or fixtures, but it throws off tons of nice white light.

WOW! This light is bright! First, it's chock full of LEDs which means you get light 360 degrees and above with LEDs mounted on the top. Second, the light temperature is very cool, meaning very white-not soft white like an incandescent. There is no hum that is often times present with LED bulbs and, although instructed not to, I have mine on a dimmer switch because it is one of 8 lights controlled by a Lutron electronic dimmer. This does not effect the bulb though it doesn't come on right away when the lights attached to the dimmer are "coming up" (increasing in brightness) until about half way through the increase cycle. Long and short: this is a great bulb for recessed lights, pillar lights (think Tiffany style) and lamps.

Call it a "barn lamp". Not pretty, but makes a LOT of light in one place. Also useful for gymnasiums, parking lots, commercial garages. If you are thinking you need a 200+ Watt incandescent to light a large area, consider these instead. (Or, as intended, to replace HID lighting.) Lots of light, long life, low electric bill. I first saw these "corn cob" lamps in farm-supply catalogs. It is a simple cost-effective way to assemble efficient LED elements to make all-around light. Even the early ones would make more light than "HID" (Mercury or Sodium arc) lamps, and with much longer life. And WAY more efficient and longer-life than any incandescent or halogen! Early ones were quite expensive, over a hundred bucks. When I saw the price on this one I had to try it. The larger sizes do light large spaces. In this size it works OK for home garages and basements. Basic corn-cobs are all side-light, leave darkness under the lamp. (These are often used with ellipsoidal reflectors to bound the side-light into down-light.) This one has added fill-lights on the bottom. Using it as a porch-light I got good down-light which blended well with side-light over 50 feet out from the porch. It's not ideal when mounted so low you may look right into it, it is really bright especially close-up. You do not want to use this lamp in the livingroom or kitchen! In my high-ceiling garage it works well because it is above normal eye level. This model does fit ordinary lamp sockets. Note that it is very tall, 8 inches! Twice as tall as most conventional incandescent bulbs. If it fits, the extended size does give some less glare than a small light source such as a high-power ordinary bulb. Appears to be very well constructed. Runs barely warm.

It is a BIG/heavy unit. It claims to be a 100 watt replacment, which should be 1600 lumens. It is listed a putting out 3510 lumens and it appears to be brighter than a 100 watt bulb (estimate about 230 watts). The only way it can be used is in a open ceiling fixture or perhaps a VERY LARGE ceiling fixture. It is too wide a the base to fit into a standard lamp harp. The light appears to be evenly distributed, but if its not behind some kind of defuser the individual LEDs are visible. From a high ceiling it would work fine. It also is set to work on either a 120V or 240V circuit I can't say whether it would work at 50Hz. If you have an appropriate fixture it would be probably be fine, but its not suitable for a normal home application. It might work with Adesso Titan 72 in. Black Shelf Floor Lamp but its larger than the recommended 150W equivalent. I did it try it in a Leviton 600-Watt 250-Volt Outlet Box style bulb holder, but this does not have a defuster so it would need to be install high up in a room.

I have replaced all my lighting to LED. I have had good and bad LED bulbs. This one is the best for brightness. Two areas that I have difficulty getting enough light, basement, laundry room and also my utility sheds. After trying this 4000 k, 3510 lumens I am very impressed. This is not the biggest or brightest in the line up of this style of replacement bulb. It fits any standard light fixture, provided you have enough space to allow for the length of the bulb. It is over 10 inches. I will definitely be purchasing more of these. One last point, it has a bit of weight, not heavy, but be sure the light fixture has a good solid support. I would not trust hanging this on drywall alone. It will be fine as long as there is a wood back support and the screw is at least a half inch into the wood support.
