Did exactly what we needed it to do

I bought three of these and they're absolute junk. They might have been quality at one point, but it's pretty obvious that the plastic has been changed to the wrong type and they're now brittle and useless. Two of them broke as soon as I gently clamped them down onto the wire. The third was broken in the same way out of the box. Don't waste your time on these.

I returned the items didn't need them.

Will be returning. It will not pierce older, harder cord. Ended up using wire to wire connectors bought on internet

The first ine broke being outside. So buying another one. Let's see how long this lasts.

Great product for parallel splicing. It works great with no need to cut existing electrical line. For end to end splicing I think traditional wire nuts are more economical.

Easy to use a little pricey for what it is though

It is the best of the line splicers I've tried. However, it is still difficult to splice 12 gauge lines.

I bought 2 and they both broke when I tightened them.

Absolute piece of garbage. Do not buy. Bought four for small lighting project. All four broke. These are cheaply made with cheap plastic parts. Buyer beware.

Overall this is a good product. I would have given it 5 stars if the nut on the bottom was held in place by more than just a sticker. You need to be careful when screwing the pieces together. The nut holding the top and bottom together can fall out easily.

would not recommend at this time, ( vendors change ) bought 5 of these only to have 3 break in two when tighting up to secure wires. Quickly returned. For being close to 8 bucks a piece they should be a higher quality plastic.

I bought two. In both cases, the base housing cracked while tightening and turned to junk. The plastic is thin and brittle, way too flimsy for this function. The design is OK, but the product is awful. Hard to believe that Home Depot would offer this crap. Do not waste your money!!

There is no information on the package about what wire sizes it supports. I asked the person working in the lighting area and he said it would support 10/2 outdoor low voltage wire. The paper inside the package said the largest wire it support is 12/2. Please put important information on the package. What size wire the splice can handle is important information. It did work splicing 14/2 wire.

I bought multiple of these to use to extend our outdoor lighting. Every other product they make works very well, but for some reason this item likes to break when you are trying to link the wires together. Appears to be poorly made compared to their other products.

Functionally, it works great and is much easier to use than the older style splice connectors. It is a bit large however so you will have to dig a little to bury it. Can't beat the ease of use!
