Good motor - No nut
This motor is good but there is no nut. The nut on my old motor was rusted out after one season so I needed to replace it. So after buying the wrong nuts 3 times I found this one to fit. 304 Stainless Steel Left Hand Thread Lock Hex Nut Nylon Lock Nut M8 Pitch 1.25mm I hope this info helps someone. And remember to drain your water and run the fan with the pump off for awhile to dry this thing out before storing for the winter.

    Home Depot good. Hessaire bad.
Home Depot was terrific. Hessaire was not. Purchased on HD.com but Hessaire fulfills order. HD did what they could but we had to cancel 1st order and re order. After me calling Hessaire and speaking to Tabitha & Alison..4 times & me calling HD & speaking to Jamoan, Mike, Paris, Ivana & Linda...Hessaire finally sent motor. $55.00 part...cost me about $38.00 after HD discounts. Hessaire MC37M is not worth it. $400.00 evaporative cooler waylayed by a $50 buck motor. Works great now but the cooler is plastic junk. Cheaply made out of mismatched plastic parts. This was a gift to me and glad I did not pay that price.

    No new nut
Hessaire saving a nickel not including a new nut with this motor costs them a repeat customer I'll never buy one of their products again!

The motor is same as the one to be replaced, the wires could be a little longer for easier replacement. 4 stars only because wire size was reduced and factory packing needs to improve.

      Easy to Replace
I originally looked on the Hessaire site to try and find a replacement motor. I ended up finding it, but it was priced around $75 and was sold out. Did an online search and Home Depot carried them online for cheaper as well. Ordered the motor and shipping was fast. The motor was easy to replace. Took about thirty minutes or so to change it out. The motor works great too.

A little difficult to install, but once I figured out the wiring it was fine.

I received the motor in 2-3 days that I remember I gathered up some tools which was a Philips screw driver 4 screws later the cooler was open then it was a simple replacement 3 more screws an the harness attachment, I have what appears to a new portable cooler works great my lesson learned from this don’t keep it in high for long I had mine on high for a day an a half the motor burnt , on low it does great and lasts a lot longer .

The 2nd replacement motor bearings are going out
The original motor lasted 73 months. The replacement motor only lasted 11 months and is failing for the same exact reason. Hessaire management is too cheap to install quality bearings designed for wet environments. On the other hand, their poor engineering choices have been profitable for their renewable parts business. Ditto for their control switches and swing motor.

bearing noise right out of the box.
As the title says, bearing noise right out of the box that has over two months got progressively worse. Its now as loud as the motor i replaced that came with the two year old unit. I loved the Hessaire when it was new, but it’s fragile and is really only trouble free for a year or two. I have replaced the controls panel, pump, the white rubber lines that feed the pads, an extremely brittle float valve and fan motor x2 now. Swamp coolers are maintenance intensive, but they aren’t supposed to be this repair intensive .

The motor didn't come with the hex nut
Very surprised to have the motor without the hex nut . I couldn't finish the installation because of that nut. Also no much details about the dimensions of the shaft , thread size and length of the shaft.
