Bought these for charity... for the elderly to fight the heat

I bought these fans, as I have many of them. I think they are great for what I use them for, but do find that I replace them about every year or 2.

Dependable quiet comfortable quality that my family enjoys.

We purchased our first 2 several years ago and they are still running strong ! We have a total of 5 in all and run them day long when the weather is over 75 degrees !

This fan is junk the blade came off in the middle of the night. It's made out of plastic.

This fan is terribly loud. I bought it to put in my window to sleep at night and I can't even think when it's on (and this is on the LOWEST setting). I wouldn't recommend this fan to anyone.

if i have time to buy myself a new fan, i will. this junk just spits air. i saw almost the same model, but a different brand. that one really gave me a breeze. so for those people who are considering buying this, don't. it's a waste of money.

I think this fan is great. I need a box fan to sleep at night and this one is the best for that. Its not a quiet fan, so if that's what you want you better look for a different fan.

First we start with packaging....fans are light weight flimsy items...delicate...Home Depot did not put a good box to protect the fan....they put the shipping label on the box and sent the fan out....fans come with boxes as tough as toilet paper...lots of dent came on the frame....The fan is so noisy that even on low you can not hear the t v unless you crank the volume and upset your family members.....great fan if you need to drown out street noise....even beats sub woofers....sorry

I bought an Aqua colored fan of this model and loved it. I ordered a black fan and am quite perplexed because it is MORE than TWICE AS LOUD! I hated it, so I gave it away. Be careful all fans are not equal for this model.

Bought this fan last night... I love my white noise. This thing is loud, but I love it! Makes for great sleep and drowns out all other noises. It had a chip in the paint out of the box...which is my only complaint.

Purchased 6 fan's back in May, one stopped operating today called customer service the shipping out new one no charge. You can't beat that for customer service. Great fans so happy we purchased the Holmes brand. Bill Senick

20" fans fit nicely in my windows, and the black disappears --easier to see out. It's a bit noisy on "low" is my only grouse. Maybe on next version make a quiet 'low' speed ?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Being "old school", I was a little disappointed when first opening the box because the fan was so light weight. So I was a little skeptical and afraid the fan would fall over. But once I installed the feet, it seemed very sturdy...so I was relieved. Then I turned it on and WOW...the fan really moved a LOT of air. It has made all the difference in the world on our second floor by pushing the air around to keep it cooler. We love this fan...

I was so suprised how fast and nice this fan is considering the price. I've bought my fair share of box fans in the past and none of them have ever been this fast. The highest speed is so insane and fast that I cant imagine I'd ever use it and just keep it on the lowest setting.

I bought this fan 4 months ago. The fan blade has completely stripped and no longer spins. A total product failure. Now I need to pay to recycle it

Bought two of these to dry tile floors after mopping, They are little workhorses, move a lot of air.

The motor still turns, but the blades did not. Took it apart and the blade shaft was disconnected from the blades. It still looks brand new, but the design flaw of poor construction materials does not hold up to daily use.

I bought this two days ago because it was made in America and my old box fan broke. But to my surprise I bought a hurricane machine. On low setting it sounds like I was in the middle of an Oklahoma tornado. And you can imagine what the other two settings were... I returned it two days later and got a different brand tower fan instead.

What a piece of junk. If you'd like to buy a low quality fan that makes a high whiny noise, this is the fan for you. It does move air, but the engine runs at a frantic pitch-- not at all relaxing or peaceful. Avoid Holmes box fan at all costs.
