This is my 4th Altura II and this one makes a grinding noise on med speed. Going to give it another week to see if it works itself out. All of these fan motors slows down overtime. You can’t beat the air movement they produce… will blow your eye leashes off.

Very nice looking and quiet fan. The remote works well and the fan is very responsive. The fan has been on for two weeks straight and makes no noise. Also the fan did not need to be balanced. On high speed the fan spins without any vibration or wobble. My electrician said he recommends this brand and model. I will be buying 2 more of these fans.

Does not look like photo, the whole fan is a dark color and the blades are painted to look like wood. I purchased this fan a couple years ago for a different home and they were beautiful, must have changed the manufacture. Would not purchase again.

We are sorry to hear that you feel this way about your fan. It seems as though this review is posted to the wrong item because this fan has real carved wood blades, not painted blades. You may have purchased the 60" outdoor /wet rated version which does include ABS blades with a painted finish.

Stopped Working
I love the look of this fan and the size was perfect for the room. Runs very quietly. Top speed is 3 and it does not put out much airflow. Sadly, it did not last. A few times I noticed it had just turned off by itself. Then it would start and stop on its own, until it no longer did. Only had the fan 3 years before it just stopped working. My other ones are over 15 years old and I have had no problems. Sad because it is a nice looking fan but I feel it should not stop working after 3 years.

The fan was installed with no difficulty. Was replaced with one that was exactly the same.
Happy with our first choice that was damaged due to Hurricane Ian.

It’s an excellent fan, moves a lot of air on low speed.We currently have 3 of them in our house and have purchased 5 all together. One just recently quit working after 9 years so purchased another. Easy to install.

I already have a fan like this, and I liked it so much that I wanted another one. This one arrived and after taking all of the time to install it, it did not work. I took it down and returned it to the store. It appeared as though this had already been purchased and returned?! Although I did not get another one, I like the original one that I have.

Slow spin speeds moves minimal air.
We purchased this ceiling fan for our upstairs great room because of the CFM’s advertised. As many reviews have reported, high speed of 3 barely noticeable spin difference from low speed of 1. Literally hard to tell it was actually on the higher speed of 3 and air movement from fan is minimal. As previous reviewer said, you can follow an individual blade around with your eyes, even on high speed. We have smaller 52" version of this fan downstairs which spins it's blades at a blurring speed producing a breeze in the entire space. We keep the upstairs fan on the highest speed because for anything less it’s useless, but we still end up using portable floor fans when its warm because this ceiling fan just does not move air. Don’t waste your money, purchase a different fan.

We are sorry to hear that you feel this way about the fan. Due to the blade shape and size, the fan is not required to rotate as fast as other standard blade fans to move a comparable amount of air. You may have a different fan as this fan has never been available in a 52" size. On high speed, the fan should rotate at a rate of about 66 RPM. Please note that if the fan is installed with a shorter downrod than what was included with the fan, the airflow performance may be negatively impacted because the amount of air between the ceiling and blades will be decreased.
