This 4-blade fan is awesome. Works better than the 5-blade it replaced and looks so much better. Nice quality. Industrial style but classy. I like the remote control which has all the necessary functions without me having to go crazy with a special wall plate. Highly recommend.

I chose this fan with my 1st priority is "remote control", 2nd is DC motor, I installed it in my 2 cars garage, I am very please with the performance, at max speed it's so quiet and cool down the garage really fast, really like the industrial look of it, The breeze function is so cool I use it most of the time, I highly recommend it.

We installed this fan a week ago. Went up fast. Directions on some steps of installation could be a bit clearer but we have experience installing ceiling fans so we quickly figured it out. The quality (for the price) was surprisingly good. No issues with the blades not being finished properly like in some reviews. Nice contemporary style to it. We did it as a "close mount" as we had 8ft ceiling in our bedroom. The only issue is with the website information vs the "reality". The CFM on high is 5454 NOT 6700. I have a photo of the box-see below. That was a real disappointment. Even the video on the website shows the box w/ a higher CFM than what the fan actually is. We wanted something that would suck the blankets off the bed. This isn't the fan. It moves a pretty good amount of air compared to our old Hunter fan but I think that's largely due to the fan blade span being larger. 50" vs 56. The breeze moves to the outer parts of the room since it's larger. Electric consumption there is no comparison with a DC motor. We don't use the remote as we leave it on high on all the time. Just flip the wall switch. It does do the weird going backwards then forwards thing-as state in other reviews. But we have another DC motor fan. It does the same. It's normal. But we are pleased with it and for the money (we got it on sale) it's worth it.

I bought these specifically for their high CFM rating. They are advertised as 6700 CFM, but they are NOT. When they arrived, the box clearly states they are only 5,454 CFM max. Very disappointed that home depot would not correctly state the specs. Other than that, the fans seem to be pretty good

Airflow (CFM) is critical when choosing a ceiling fan. When I purchased this fan, I always read the review, CFM, and other specs. Home Depot website stated this fan has 6700 CFM; however, the box itself has 3651 CFM. Most manufacturer always posted the highest number of CFM on their product box. I’m returning this fan instead of installing it. What a waste of time and shipping fee.

We got a smaller fan, but didn't like it in the huge living room in the house we are renovating. So ordered this one because we liked the look and it got good reviews. I took down the other one, which I will put in a bedroom tomorrow. I'm really pleased with the quality and look, and it puts out some serious air. I will say, I've put up a LOT of ceiling fans, and this one was easier than some and more difficult than others. I'm a 72 year old female, and if I can do it, you probably can, too. :) There are a couple of things I wish they would do differently. One is make the screws magnetic! Nothing worse than having to come down the ladder and hunt the dropped screws. I'm not sure what they're made of, but the screwdriver doesn't hold on to them. Two, the remote needs a holder to mount on the wall. We have a couple of the blue store's fans, and they came with the little holders. Also, maybe the directions are translated from Chinese, but there is NOTHING about the yellow wire that is the antenna for the remote transmitter. I guess it just goes up the downrod and that's it, because that's where I put it and it works. We'll see how it lasts, but for now, I'm loving it.

I must say great looking fan and the function is awesome. From clockwise to counterclockwise you can have heat or cold. The remote really cool with LED and speed and material are solid.

A stylish and powerful fan that is easy to install. I love the fact that it finds its own level and with the remote, no longer having to guess which way the blades spin or hanging chains. I was a bit concern that it might be too big (56") but it was perfect.

Fan is super quiet and looks amazing. The summer breeze feature is the best.

Fan is very stylish and modern looking and looks great with our farmhouse decorations! Easy to set up and quiet when operating! It does make a clicking sound when turning on or off but the manufacturer said that was the receiver picking up the remote signal. Not an issue just surprised me.

This DC motor ceiling fan is easy to install and moves quite a bit of air quietly & efficiently at a low speed. I placed it on a 24" down rod because of my 12 foot ceilings. Unfortunately, when the fan is operated at a higher speed, it wobbles and makes an annoying clicking sound. IMO, for the $ spent, it is a good value.

It was very easy to install and it is very quiet the only thing you hear is the sound of the fan blades moving the air when you have it on high speed. It's been up for a month and working very well. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a good modern style fan.

The look of this fan is a lot more unusual than you would imagine - the small motor housing really makes a big difference in the look. I had planned on putting this in my main family room and move the family room fan to a bedroom I'm finishing. But, it looks better in a less formal room. If I could get a 60 inch version of this I might consider it for the family room though. It's very sleek. The modes on the remote are great for sleeping - it can be set to spin very slowly constantly with short bursts every 10-15 seconds. It's easily reversible from the remote as well. The fan is immediately responsive to the remote. The blades are reversible and the colors are nice (cherry and walnut I believe). They are not overly glossy. I installed the blades before I hung the fan but I recommend installing the motor first and then the blades. Where the blades all come together at the motor - you have to maneuver them to fit but just take it slow and it'll be fine. I didn't use all of the parts because it's sunk into my fake beam. I didn't need the bell housing at the top of the rod at the ceiling. Just FYI - my gaps on the beam where the fan hangs will be covered with beam straps ;-). And by the way ... all of the walls, wood for the beams, ceiling, trim ... everything in that room was bought at The Home Depot.

This is the perfect fan for my needs I wanted a fan for my 14 ft vaulted ceiling that I can control completely with only a remote control with the reverse feature and timer and random 9 speed settings and of course the price was GREAT the only thing that would make it better would be the addition of an LED light but my room doesn't need extra lighting

Well-packaged, easy-to-assemble (except for stating where to place the antenna wire for the remote). Good-looking, light-weight. It moves a lot of air! Having a remote that lets you change direction without having to climb a ladder is a big plus. The manufacturer even thought to include extra screws. We have an open floor plan, so I replaced the old broken one in the kitchen and ugly one in the dining room. I'd love to replace the one in the living room, but this model isn't available with a light.

There is no indication as to what the 2nd black wire was for. It would have help if a sticker would have indicate that that was the antenna for the remote use. Other than that, the fan is quiet and cool.

Home Depot's Decorators Collection Virginia Highland 56 inch, 4-blade ceiling fan in Espresso Bronze, with a remote control is a nice addition to any room in home, or office. From the time I opened the box, to the set-up of the remote control took me about an hour. The assembly instructions, and illistrations are easy to follow with good details. The fan runs quietly, has a timer for 2, 4, or 8 hours for operation on the remote control, and fan speed, with direction controls. The fan has an industrial/farmhouse appearance and will look great with either style of decor.

This ceiling fan is a unquie 4 blade fan that is 56” across. It’s nickel and black so you can choose between silver or black blades. Our kitchen has stainless. Steel and black appliances so the ceiling fan looks great. It has a remote that has to be programmed to work with the ceiling fan but it is very simple to do. This is a great ceiling fan. I would highly recommend this product.

Excellent Fan and looks great... It is VERY quiet and pushes a lot of air. The instructions were easy to follow and there are diagrams showing how the fan goes together (whether you choose flush mount or standard). The install was quick. The motor is much smaller in size than a typical ceiling fan, but it pushes a lot of air and gives it a fresh new look. It does NOT have a light kit available, which is the only down side for me... but the looks and air flow are what I wanted (our next project will be recessed lighting to fix that problem. You have a choice to use the light or dark blade color... I chose the light brown (see pictures). I forgot to get a picture of the darker side, but it is dark like the blade arms. It comes with everything needed, except the mounting screws to the outlet. They also added an extra screw (each) that connects the blade arm to the blade and to the motor. It uses a remote to operate and comes with the 2-AAA batteries. It takes seconds to program the remote and the instructions have the details. It has a shutoff timer of 2, 4 and 8hrs available and a "Comfort Breeze" option that cycles through the different speeds. It has a reverse mode also. I recommend this fan to those that are looking at it online, but aren't sure if it as nice as it looks!

LOVE THIS FAN! It is stylish, quiet and pushes a lot of air. It arrived quickly and was packaged very well. It was easy to install, not much in the way of parts to deal with and the instructions were great. The motor on this fan is small, so it doesn't look bulky. It has the option to flush mount it, but we used the standard extension. (note: we are removing the popcorn from the ceilings and the pictures I have added are before we have finished the process) It comes with a remote (2 - AAA batteries included)... it has a shut off timer of 2, 4 or 8hrs and it has 3 "Comfort Breeze" settings where it cycles through a series of the speeds if you like. Unfortunately this fan doesn't come with a light kit, but we have good lighting in there so it's a non-issue for us. One side of the blades are painted silver, the other black...one thing wrong with them; the blades weren't painted very well on the edges. The silver paint was dripped over to the black side.. see picture attached. But that was a simple "touch-up paint" fix.

I've got 5 ceiling fans in my home, all of them I've installed myself, so when I got this one, I decided to put it one of the last rooms that does not have a ceiling fan in it. Installation was very simple and the instruction are well thought out. You have 2 choices on whether you want it mounted close to the ceiling or using the provided down rod, if you have enough clearance or high ceilings. You can also purchase a longer down rod if needed, depending on your situation. Once you have it installed, you teach the fan to use the included remote by applying power to the ceiling fan, then pressing and holding down the power button for 5 seconds on the remote, very simple. With the remote, you can turn the fan on and off, reverse the direction of the fan blades, control the speed of the fan from 300 rpm upwards to 120 rpm. You can also set a timer and activate a feature they call "Comfort Breeze". What it does is vary the speed of the fan, with 3 different settings of "Comfort Breeze" possible, it a unique feature and under the right conditions can be very nice to have. This ceiling fan is extremely quiet, and the motor is about 1/2 to 1/3 the size of a regular ceiling fan. I like the style of it, and the nickel finish goes well in most any décor. Power usage is very low also, going from only 1.84 watts on the low setting to 32.42 watts at its highest speed setting. A typical ceiling fan is at least double the amount of power consumed as this one. This fan is by far my favorite one in terms of energy it uses, the quietness of it while its running, and overall looks. One thing I would like to see with this fan is a light kit, if you need a ceiling fan with a light on it, then this isn't the fan for you. Hopefully a version with the light will be coming out soon.

Just wasn't sure about this fan but after figuring out the operation it's a very, very nice fan.

This ceiling fan has exceeded my expectations. It is the quietest fan I have every owned and I will be purchasing more of them to replace existing fans.

Within 2 months the fan started to sound badly and we couldn't understand the issue. Reinstalled everything but doesn't help. Since we are out of returning period now I am afraid to carry this defect piece now.

Love the look and function of these reasonably priced fans and I’m a hard cookie to crack as far as something exceeding my expectations.

Nice fan. Looks different from others with generic light mount on the bottom.

Fan looks good and sleek, but it would start by itself even if we stop it from the remote ( connected directly as we are using the switch for lights). I wanted to talk to the customer service to see if they have any solution and tried multiple times but it wouldn't go thru, always busy and I waited for 30 min minimum to get hold of someone with out any luck. Never buying these stupid home decorators again.
