I did not give an Excellent, because it moves erratically for 4 or 5 seconds. That may be normal or not. After those few seconds it smoothes out. Be aware of how long it is. Our ceiling is 9 1/2 feet and it is fine without the 4 inch down rod, but it would not work with a lower ceiling. Difficult installation.

I bought this fan for my patio. Install was easy, and the fan looks very interesting and is definitely a conversation piece. The DC motor is extremely quiet, (you won't hear anything. No humm ,etc ) . If you're putting this in a small room; say 10' x 10', it's probably fine. But anything larger, you won't feel ANY air movement whatsoever. The Airflow on this fan is rated at 411 CFM. Compare that to a traditional 44" or 52" ceiling fan with a typical airflow 4000-4500 CFM. Yes! that's 10x greater air movement than what this fan produces. Anyway, I returned this fan (even though it looked really cool), and bought a traditional 44" ceiling fan, and I'm much happier now.

A little heavy but besides that it seems to run pretty smoothly.

Wan bless a bit more than a traditional 3 or 4 blade fan there is no balance kit in the box. Should be installed in a location that has lower ceiling as the max fan speed is 400 rpm it moves air it feels like higher head speed would allow for feeling the air move in a room with 14’ ceiling.

It was the look I wanted. Questionable on the airflow - although in a small area (12x6) call hardly feel airflow no matter where seated/standing.

Novel look and operation is eye catching.

This fan is perfect for my newly screened small balcony! The ceiling has a tight slope to it that prevents a horizontal/circular blade pattern. This fan’s vertical configuration is perfect for handling this issue! Also, it’s so unusual and a real conversation piece! Five stars—and the shipping was fast, too!

INSTALLED THIS FAN TODAY AND WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED. I LIKED THE WAY IT LOOKED BUT IT HAD A WOBBLE AND VERY LITTLE AIR FLOW. I MOUNTED IT IN A 12 X 14 PERGOLA, SO NOT A LARGE AREA. STANDING DIRECTLY UNDER THE FAN, I COULD HARDLY FEEL THE AIR MOVE EVEN ON THE HIGHEST SPEED. IT TOOK TWO WEEKS TO GET TO MY HOME DEPOT, AND TIME TO INSTALL. I'M NOT SURE HOW ANYONE THOUGHT THIS FAN WAS A GOOD VALUE. IT WAS A WASTE OF TIME FOR ME !! TAKING IT BACK TOMORROW !!

The Windhaven fan is a beautiful pièce de résistance to our addition... it even impressed our installer. Living on the coast, the damp ratting is a real plus.It’s so quiet and efficient and I love the breeze settings!I would definitely recommend it.

Love the looks of the fan but it is a little noisy.

This is a $250. piece of GARBAGE. When originally installed it made a horrible, grinding noise that terrified my children and made me worry in might CATCH FIRE. After 2 months of enduring that noise, it stopped rotating completely. It moved hardly NO AIR and was a pain in the neck to install. Why is Home Depot actively marketing and selling this product? Please don't buy this product and hopefully they'll all get sent to a Chinese landfill, where they belong.

Love it! more than exceeded our expectations!!

I was so excited when I found this fan for our kitchen but sadly it had to be returned because our ceilings are too low. Everyone who saw it commented on how cool it was. I wish there were a way to mount it differently for low ceilings!

This has to be the dumbest looking fan I have ever seen. It can only be used with high ceiling. The action of the blades prevent it from moving air efficiently. I can't see any use for this in any application anywhere, except maybe on the back of a boat in the water. The air it pushes toward you would be pulled away at the same time by the top of the fan.

Delivery time and installation was satisfactory, however this fan needs a redesign due to its lack of cfm's. The style is awesome but the paddles need to be Atleast twice the size (perhaps 10"L x 8"W to push a decent amount of air. I returned it & purchased the Stonemill which has 8x th cfm's.

Unique design makes everyone who sees it go “wow.”. Contractor had no trouble installing.

Great look, sub-par air movement for outdoors porch. Works better on cooler days obviously. Overall great product!
