The straps work so far so I give credit for that. I can tighten them down snug and they stay that way until released. The bad in this is that one of the two has already lost retract spring tension so the end that would normally be retracted much of the way inside the mechanism hangs out about 18 inches. Not a deal breaker, but I would expect to have that strap retract all the way, beyond the first day of use. The fixed strap end is longer than several other self-retracting straps I have which is good. I can loop that end around a sled axle, or something that has no place to hook the S strap to it. It stays secure and works well. I like the bright red color. Makes them easy to see if they get tossed down on the ground while unstrapping a sled or 4-wheeler from the trailer. I have struggled at times to get the ratcheting mechanism in the correct orientation to release the strap. That may just be me, but it seems they are enough different from my other self-retracting straps that I get hung up working with these at times. I subtracted 2 pts for struggling to get the mechanism released quickly and easily, and for the lack of retraction tension, on one strap of the pair, after 1 day of use. 3 positive points for positive holding capability, ability to crank the load down tightly, bright red color, and for a long fixed lead allowing a wrap-around scenario I don't get with my other straps. Hope this has been helpful. I will buy more. Hope the quality improves!

These retractable ratchets straps are my new favorite way to strap our equipment wagon to the back of our truck. So fast and convenient and easy to secure.

These are great, easy to use, just too short for my needs. The same don’t come long enough.

There to short to do anything with

It was easy to used it and install

Very hard to release when done other than that awesome product seems to be too much tension and can’t get my old 71 year old fingers down in to relieve the tension

They hold extremely well. Love them and easy to use.

Lock is similar to the type on hotel room doors. Easy to install and works great.

The Straps work fine. When you go to release them they are a bit tricky. You have to hold down the release button while you pull the rope back and forth until it releases.

The ratchets worked great. But getting them out of the package was horrible. Someone with arthritis in their thumbs definitely could not open it. It still took a healthy person to use screwdriver and pliers to get the package open.

Really enjoy the quick release button...makes strapping down my wheelchair so much faster...

This Retractable Ratchet Strap(s) worked very well and I plan on buying more of them.

Works very well and have an easy to use mechanism

Easy to use, strong, easy to store

It should be illegal for items to be packaged the way these and others That I bought on the same day are packaged. Not only are hard as crap to open and I broke one of the ratchet springs in the process but this packaging has to go to a land fill somewhere. The others I bought were in a pack of 4. They were on a clearance for like $8.44 which was a good deal. Then I had to spend a good 5 minutes with a box cutter, a pair of pliers and a flat screw driver to get them out of the hard plastic packaging" that had a handle on it for what reason ". Not like that you could ever reuse the thing. Again this crap ends up in the ground somewhere. Not to mention that the packaging cost about as much to produce as the Ratchet straps did. Just wrap them in something biodegradable. They are ratchet straps what else can I say DUH. But seriously look into the way items are being packaged, help save the planet and pass the savings onto the customer Thank you

ordered for my son in law for Christmas....no idea how they work yet...but its exactly what he wanted

My only complaint is that the instructions were inadequate. Once I figured out how to use them, I really like them.

These straps work great for tying down a load. I use them to tie down my motorcycle to my trailer. When it comes time to release the straps, it’s hit or miss. Sometimes the release button works, sometimes it doesn’t, sometimes is makes you want bash the ratchet assembly with a claw hammer. I’ve had enough. I’ll be returning my set for the more traditional ratchet tie downs that don’t have a button
