I was using one and it broke

This can't handle any torque. They just crack. I've lost two of them this way. And I've only used four all together. So, that's a 50% failure rate so far.

This rating is about the socket set. As far as the way it was stored before purchase, a one star rating would be too high. I bought this set and inspected it. The outside of the storage box looked like it was (along with the others on the shelf) stored in a very dusty basement or storage facility for about a couple of years. I opened the box expecting to see rusty sockets and a moldy interior, but I was surprised that the sockets were in very good condition. They looked well-made from quality materials, and without obvious defects; that is, until I started looking at them individually. The second one I picked up had rust on the tip. Thankfully, that was the only one. I plan to keep the set, but have the rusty socket replaced. If you're considering buying this set- pick it up instead of ordering it.

Hardy put any leverage and the bit snapped off inside the bolt… complete junk… DO NOT BUY

Needed a T55 torx bit in a hurry, so decided to buy a whole set of Husky 1/4" torx sockets. The T55 snapped the first time I tried to use it. Now I have a whole set of other sizes that I'm not comfortable using.

Never hear of this, however my boat had many fitting this was needed for.

The 3/4" bit snapped when using a torque wrench. It was surprising to say the least

The pieces in this wrench set are well built. They are contained in a case specifically made for the wrench with a clear top. It will be easy to store in my toolbox and find the pieces when needed. Each has its own labeled storage spot. They fit snugly in their little holes so if the case is inverted, they stay put and won't fall out. Each insert fits tightly in either the 8mm or 12mm side. The wrench is easy to use.

This set is nicely organized and laid out. The Torx bits grouped on the left side make stepping up or down a size easy. The bits on the right top row are metric, bottom row are SAE. Again, stepping up or down a size is easy. The wrench feels so nice in my hand! The polished surface is easy to wipe clean, and the DEEP etched sizes are nice, so nice, in fact, that I may run out and buy the entire set of ratcheting box end wrenches from Husky. Four of the 12 bits that fit the 12mm wrench fall out--for some reason they just are not quite as large as the rest. This is a big problem when working in tight spaces where retrieving an insert is tough--keep a few winds of tape handy to go around those bits to make them a touch larger and not fall out. The rest all stay in the wrench nicely, including all the bits for the 8 mm box end. Personally I’d love the plastic organizer insert to be foam to make a quick swap into my tool boxes, but the plastic is really nicely labeled with raised numbers. A few minutes with a metallic marker and the raised numbers are REALLY easy to read.

THE Huskey 22 Piece Insert Bit Set comes in strong plastic case to keep the contents safe and neatly organized. There's a ratcheting double end 8 and 12 mm box wrench that accommodates both the smallest and largest insert bits. The SAE hex, Allen), bits go from 5/32 to 3/8 inches and the metric hex, (Allen), bits are from 4,5, 6. 7, 8, and 10 mm. The Torx insert bits go from T-10, T-15, T20, T-25,T-30, T-40, T-50, and T-55, all the popular sizes I've needed to assemble and service firearms, and vehicles. This is a well thought out selection.

Let me warn you there was a tiny screw holding the case together so when you can't open the lid look for the little back screw. Once it is open this kit is so versatile. A great gift for the novice or new home owner. No one ever thinks about this until you need to undo something. This is 22 pieces and a good general set to have. The main piece is 8 mm and 12 mm on each end. This is possibly all you might need unless you do real wood work. There are 8 pieces for the 8 mm end and 14 fir the 12 mm end if I am reading this right. They are labeled. This is also good to take with you since a nice neat case.

This Husky 22-Piece Insert Bit Set is a clever design. It uses a double ended flat offset ratcheting box wrench for a driver. This allows for a thin profile. This will help access some hard to reach areas. The ratchet is 8mm on one end and 12mm on the other end. There isn’t a reversing mechanism so the bits are inserted on one side to loosen and from the other side to tighten. This design means that there’s not a reversing lever that can accidentally be activated in tight spots. It’s about as low profile a driver set that can be had. The ratchet ends of the wrench are both thin and narrow. This tool can be a real time-saver. It has a variety of SAE and metric hex bits and Torx bits and everything is stored in a slide latch case with a clear lid. The finish on the wrench is a nicely polished chrome. I recommend this set for anyone that has to drive fasteners in tight quarters.

This set has to get 5 stars because it’s well made and it’s unique. The bits have hexes on the end with detent balls that lock them into any 8 (smaller sizes) or 12mm (larger sizes) ratcheting wrench. The set does come with an 8/12 mid length ratcheting wrench incase you don’t have your own, which is a nice bonus. But this set would still get 5 stars without it for the simple fact that, with the right ratcheting wrench, these bits can go where others can’t, for the simple fact that you don’t need an adapter to attach them to a wrench. They lock on their own with their detent balls. So these will be lower profile than regular 1/4”, 5/16”, etc hex bits in a bit ratchet. The only bits stubbier than these will be the half cut bits along with a low profile bit ratchet. But being able to attach all kinds of ratcheting wrenches to these guys means they will sometimes be uniquely suited to a particular job. Add the fact that they are well made, well marked, well organized, and covered by a lifetime warranty, and it’s a 5 star product in my book. If I was going to knock something, it would be the size of the case. There’s quite a bit of unused surface area, though the case itself is well made with a clasp that should last. Very cool product and a good idea.

This is a nice little set. Has a pull-out so you can hang it. Twenty-one different bits, SAE hex, metric hex, and TORX BITS. I like the size markings on the end of the bits, even the smallest bit "Torx 10". The dual-sided ratcheting wrench is a time saver. Good ball detent saves stripping and slippage. Another plus, for those tough to crack lose fittings, is that you can insert the bit into a socket and use a small or larger ratchet for more tork. At 8 7/8" W X 4 1/2" D X 1 3/4" H it is small enough to carry in a pocket, hardly takes up any space in a toolbox, or just hang it on the wall. And with the Lifetime warranty, this set can last virtually forever. A win-win for everybody. A/C people, nice for hi/lo valves on an AC condenser.

First words out of my husbands mouth was this is so slick! Wow does it make jobs so much quicker. First, its a narrower tool and it allows so much more access to jobs, especially those really confined spots. This Husky 22 Piece Set is the perfect gift and now that I know my husband loves it, I am sure my boys will too. Christmas shopping has begun. It comes in a case and the bits fit securely in the wrench or socket. Worked great and easily for adjusting my treadmill.

I will start by saying that I am a fan of Home Depot and Husky Ratchets. That being said, I have no idea why they would ever sell this product under the Husky name. Do yourself a favor and look at the image that I have attached. This product has pretty terrible quality control. A good third or more of the bits that I received are crooked straight from the manufacture. The grid paper background has no photo magic, the bit centering just that bad. I did not return the product because I think that it is a decent value for what I paid giving bit selection, keeping in mind that operation with crooked bits may be a little more janky. I will use these as a general tool, rather than a precision tool. I think it is a decent selection of shapes and sizes, but if you are only needing a set of a specific shape and size (such as metric allen keys for bicycle repair) buy a smaller and more expensive set somewhere else. I do not know what I was expecting, but I guess you get what you pay for. In regards to the blow-molded case, it is at least twice the thickness that it needs to be and the curved corners and sides make it harder to store compactly with other stuff. If you hold the case upside down, the bits fall about all over the place. If I decide to keep these in rotation, then I will just buy socket rails for them.

Broke first bit i used now have to see how tool return is.

I purchased this set to replace a smaller set that came with my Husky tool set. I had them for roughly 2 years and they were completely rusted out from leaving the tool box in the back of my truck. The chrome part was fine but the heads were completely rusted out. The first thing I did with this set was coated them all with WD40. For the price of this set the quality is really good. It comes with a good case but it fits a little loose and the bits get shuffled out of order.

This Husky Torx and Hex set is great! With every size (and more) of anything I would need around my house when working on projects and my car/truck, it can't be beat! The set itself is beautifully made. Heavy-duty polished steel and chrome, with complete sets of short and long pieces! Just use your typical household ratchet. I've already gotten under my truck's steering column, and needed the long ones for my bmw. It's locking carrying case means that I don't have to run from the front house garage to the back shed trying to find the right size. Take it with me and everything is there...right size and right length. Love it!

These 1/2" Drive Torx sockets are sturdily built and ready to be worked hard. The 11 hex bit sockets (Torx: T40, T45, T47, T50, & T60 | Tamper-Proof Torx: T30, T40, T45, T55 & T60) come mounted on a plastic rack which, though useful in concept, is actually pretty annoying as I find it quite difficult to remove the sockets from the rack. + The size markings are super easy to read + The lifetime warranty ("no questions, no receipt required") takes away any possible risk at time of purchase Can't go wrong with these sockets.

This Husky 1/2 in. Drive Torx Bit Socket Set is a great addition to my tool set. Torx bits are 6-sided star drive and allow more torque to be applied to the fastener than conventional hex drives. They have become the favored fasters for the automotive industry, and as such, this set becomes necessary in order to work on modern vehicles. Set includes 5 of the most popular Torx sizes and 6 of the security type drivers for tamper proof fasteners (pin/hole in the middle). Socket drivers are well made and the set includes a handy carrier rack for storage. Sizes are marked with large characters that are easy to read. They are covered by a lifetime warranty. More excellent tools from Husky.

It isn't often that I need the larger sizes of tamper-proof Torx sockets. But when I need them, nothing else it going to do. These are well made sockets. They seem to be able to handle a lot of tork. The holes in the tamper-proof sockets are nicely centered. They are large enough and deep enough for the screws I have used them on. The sockets are clearly labeled with the size. Having the non tamper-proof sockets are a bonus. I am happy with set so far. Time will tell how well they hold up.

This hex and torx bit socket set is the perfect addition to the tool chest. It seems that whatever piece of equipment you take a wrench or socket to today has a variety of different types of bolts.This set contains sockets for both 1/4" and 3/8" drive ratchets. The sockets are also provided in both standard and metric sizes. There are also long sockets for the hard to reach places. All of the sockets are in a durable case to keep them in order. Definitely a good value for all you get.

Husky 1/2 in. Drive Torx Hex Bit Socket Set (11-Piece) could be an awesome set. However, this set came with mismatched sockets, which should have been caught with quality control. The set is supposed to come with: 1-T30 2-T40 2-T45 2-T47 2-T50 2-T60 However, my set only came with one (1) T40, and two (2) T30 fittings. The tools attach to a 1/2" Drive to allow a longer handle and more leverage. The opening for the drive tools are chamfered to lead the drive into the socket. All the sockets are said to be polished, however mine are marred and dirty. No indication that this set was used, returned, and reprocessed. I'm sure the tools are of good quality and will perform well. I'm just terribly disappointed in the quality control. I rate it 1 star out of 5 for the poor quality control and suspect quality on the polishing. I rate 5*s out of 5 for quality, because the tools are made well, and should last with proper usage. The Hex Bit set offers a good addition to a tool array for tightening or loosening large hex screws/nuts. The 1/2 inch drive capacity offers the leverage needed for the larger tasks. Each Hex Bit is clearly marked with it's size, and are hosted on a strip for keeping all in order. While you may find the strip somewhat difficult to initially remove or place the bits on, it will resolve after a few times. The bits are shaped to insert into the hex screws/nuts and securely hold in place. Again, a good addition to a tool complement.

Anybody looking for an 11 piece torque bit set 1/2 inch Drive really good SEC this is the one that has the the anti-tamper on it there's a hole in the end of its orders from t42 t60 and then in the anti-tamper it's t32 t60 so far to set seems to be rather strong holds up well very well made would recommend is Freddy buddy that needs a set of Torx to be able to use on 1/2 in ratchet or Torque French

I got this set of 68 pcs of hex and tork bit set for $59. I wanted to find a few random select sizes that I needed and did a comparison at Home Depot. They had various combination sets to select from. I work on a variety of different projects from repairing guns, lapidary equipment, repairing cars and motor homes. This set had all that I currently knew I needed and quite a bit more. Home Depot’s lifetime warranty and their customer service make buying their products a no brainer.

I love the star 6 point sockets. I find them to be more positive then other sockets. They all come in a super nice carrying case and most lock in place. about every size you will ever need, from the very small to about 3/4" in both inner and outer sockets. I like all the star fasteners they seem to be much more positive then other fasteners, especially in the smaller sizes.

These torx and tamper-proof torx bits have a 1/2" socket drive. The set includes a total of 11 bits and a heavy plastic caddy. The torx bits are T40, T45, T47, T50 & T60, the tamper-proof bits are T30, T40, T45, T47, T55 & T60. The 1/2" socket bases are chromium vanadium steel – they appear to be of very high quality. Unlike a L-handle torx wrench, the socket drive can be used with extenders, universal joints and breaker bars. One of the tamper-proof bits appears to have a quality control issue – but should be OK since these have a lifetime warranty. A minor point, the plastic caddy is a nuisance, its difficult to remove the sockets, they have to be pried off - I just tossed the caddy in the trash, its easier just to keep sockets loose in a box - their sizes are deeply stamped and easily recognized.

If you're going to work on a modern car, you should have the Husky Master Hex and Torx Bit Socket Set. I could really have used the tamper resistant bits on my 93 Mustang's mass air sensor. As it was, I had to modify a torx bit it with a cobalt steel bit and drill press. The 1/4 allen socket would have been extra handy on the rocker arm studs. External torx fasteners are becoming more common. The sockets in this kit would have saved me hours and a massive headache in changing the hubs on our Jeep Liberty. Even my kid's Chevy Cruze requires external torx sockets to take tension off the serpentine belt and to remove the alternator. This kit provides essentially all the specialized tools for such shade tree projects. I like the plastic box; it keeps the tools organized, and it has a metal hinge so the box won't split.
