A great step up from plastic stopper
With this stopper and its options, it simply feels more sanitary. I don't feel like my food and clean dishes are exposed to the bacteria that has to linger on the plastic guard of the disposal unit. Nothing cam come in contact with it.

I like that you can leave the stopper in and still let it drain water while running the disposal. Then, just push it down to lock it in place to keep things from falling into the disposal, and push it again to pop it back up to drain water. I thought it a tad expensive, but does meet expectations.

Didn't last long
I was happy enough with the stopper originally. About a year later the interior gasket came off. I super glued it a couple of time. Also, over time the finish became very "cloudy". It was difficult to shine it up. But I guess I'm not too bright because I'm ordering another one.

This Insinkerator stopper was an exact match for my current Insinkerator stopper, the seals of which had begun to leak because it was several years old. They make an excellent high-end garbage disposal.

Love the InSinkErator SilverSaver Kitchen Sink Stopper. It fits our InsinkErator garbage disposal perfectly. It allows easy water flow into the drain while protecting silverware and other items from accidentally falling into the garbage disposal reservoir. The stopper is well made and attractive. It is a must have!
