They needed effective products that do what they their label states. Kilz products do just that. I recently used the original primer on my own balcony and was so happy how the surface was prepared. We applied the paint with ease, and the coverage was excellent. Great product!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had some mystery oil spotting on a ceiling and was able to use a few coats of KILZ to cover them up. The white matched the ceiling paint almost perfect and blended in with no problem. I will use it again for covering up problem areas.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the dreaded text with sample pictures. Oak cabinets that I had flipped to white a couple of months earlier had stains bleeding through, my heart sank. I was greatly concerned that whatever I touched them up with would show up maybe worst than the stains themselves, but I had to try. I grab a fresh can of Kilz Original Interior Primer, covered the counters, taped up the cabinet hardware and carefully sprayed the Kilz over all the bleed through areas. I was amazed! Not only did the Kilz dry very quickly, it looked so good I was tempted to not even top coat it with the finish paint concerned that maybe the Kilz would flash through the finish coat. I did top coat it, and the Kilz did not flash through it. What a great product, and what a great cabinet save!

The product smells very bad not like a regular oil smell it’s a more chemical smell. Make sure to have negative air with hepa units or spray and leave. I always let my primer sit overnight sometimes a little longer if their was a lot sprayed. And it sands super smooth I use 320 paper then apply 2 top coats. Only complaint I have is the nasty stuff in the 5 gallons buckets and even in 1 gallon cans, it’s very dirty and I like to strain it to keep my spray gun filters clean.

Doing so requires a quality oil-based primer and Kilz was recommended by a paint professional. Painting grasscloth is no easy task, but Kilz interior primer was effective in providing the perfect coverage for the job. Once dry, the paint was applied and rolled on smoothly and with ease. From primed to perfect, I love my new bathroom!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am so happy we chose Kilz for our basement remodel. We (by we I mean my husband) completely gutted the existing walls down to the studs. He insulated and dry walled the entire room. We used the Kilz to prime the area, and the paint adhered to the product beautifully. I know this product (Kilz) well because for every job in our home we prime with Kilz. There is no other product out there that compares.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We had a water stain on ceiling. After several coats of paint it was not hiding it. We used Kilz primer for stains and OMGGG IT WORKS. We did take care of the problem prior to paining and it looks great as well as a smell has gone away. Great!!

Brushed on Kitz. Smoke residue from walls covered beautifully.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We used Kilz after having my rental house destroyed by awful tenants who had 30+ animals without our consent until we found out and evicted them. Everything had to be gutted but we didn't wanna rip up the subfloor and tried Kilz instead. We had no choice financially but to sell our home and move back because we couldn't sue them. No one can tell the floors were once soaked with cat and dog urine because the Kilz worked great!!! We couldn't get a contractor to even help us until we used it! To give you an idea of the kind of crazy we dealt with, the pictures are before and after kilz and one of a box fan they duct taped into the ceiling!!!

The house had belonged to my grandfather and I wanted to save it. So many people that saw the condition it was in said just tear it down and put a modular on the lot. However I was on a mission to save it. The entire house was filthy, especially the walls. That is when someone told me to use Kilz primer. It covered up the stains, crayon marks, hand prints and whatever other nastiness was on the walls. That was 20 years ago. I have been using Kilz products ever since.
