Non-stop leaking at the handle!
We are brand new home owners and the kitchen sink was so important to us. We saw this sink had a "NEW" tag at our local Home Depot meaning it was a brand new design model. It looks beautiful and we were so excited to show it off to our family! Well, a year later it started to leak severely at the handle. Problem is, I can't open the handle to get to the leak & it's gushing. We had to turn off the water due to high cost from a drought & we can't afford a new sink. So sad and angry. Please help!

Leaks & spray quality is poor
Looks nice, but water flow is low. Use of hard to use sprayer button results in an irregular spray pattern that covers everything in an oversized sink. The valve stem started leaking at 12 months of use. After buying part (available only at Kohler) and a special socket to disassemble, I discovered the mating parts were totally corroded. If I get 24 months of use in total I'd be shocked due to poor design & quality. I'm a mechanical engineer and Kohler should be ashamed.

        Spray nozzle
I get it...we all wish we had more hands. Unfortunately, if you use your kitchen every day and bake and/or cook and make a lot of dishes that you hand wash like pans and mixing bowls, you’re gonna want an assistant to hold the button on the back of the nozzle for you. It’s a nice design, has a little shape to it to make it look a little unique but my favorite feature was the handle that pulls forward to turn on and off then swivels left and right for hot and cold. Most of them pull out for on and off and then you push back to scorch your hands, whoops!!! Maybe it’s forward for....nope. There are many things wrong with me and faucet algebra is one of them. So I really liked the design that swivels left/right for hot and cold. Buuuut when you want to use the sprayer you have to hold the button down on the back of the pull out faucet. I’ll keep this one around for a while and see if I stop missing being able to spray the water into my hand washed pans or if I get used to paying a kid to stand next to the sink and hold the button. If that’s a deal breaker for you...we should start a Facebook group because nobody else mentions it on sink features.

Easy to install, looks great, and works well. I would like a little more pressure, but that may not be the faucet. The wide spray is nice, but I would like more than one spray option. I've only had it in use about a week and despite the two minor issues noted above I am very happy with my faucet as it does meet my expectations.

The Good, The Bad, and the Beautiful. Pros: Massive, solid construction; Excellent gaskets, alignment tabs for both main body on plate and sprayer head into arch, adjustable for the rotational angle you want to come to hand and "blade" alignment. "Joystick" control handle operates smoothly, and contrary to some reviews, shuts off fine as long as you push it all the way back into the "V" of the motion. Flow IS a bit slow, but the water-saving restricter can be removed, consulting Kohler's instructions. The hoses seem robust enough, and the sprayer hose has a "click-on" connector which, fully pushed on over dual O-rings, clicks into place with tabs, and is holding pressure fine at 40 psi. The sprayer hose's bob-weight CLIPS on vs screwed together - NICE! Cons: This height and weight ABSOLUTELY requires a stiffening "stabilizer" plate for thin metal sinks, such as stainless, to resist flexing. Astoundingly, Kohler does NOT include this likely $3 cost plate (to them) in a $200 faucet, nor is one normally in stock in either normal building supply houses. This is the only reason why I give it four vs five stars - just idiotic! Instead, the buyer is told to make one out of plywood, which is fine if you are tool-equipped and handy. I have included a drawing for a plate for three-hole 4" center-to-center sinks, although for this faucet, you only need the center hole. Either jigsaw or a 1 1/2" hole saw will suffice (no bigger - you need the wood bearing area for the ring and tightening screws). Measure the sill to ensure it will fit flush (mine would not accommodate a 3" wide plate, only 2 7/8", due to the front lip on the steel deck). Also check you'll clear the fourth (soap dispenser) hole. In case of any future leaks, you can apply a piece of "Stick and Seal" or foil over the top, sides, and inside holes of your plate, to preclude rot. Another option is a hard plastic RP37490 Stabilization Plate for $12 from Home Depot, also available from multiple other suppliers at about the same price. It is spec'd at 3" deep, so if your deck is, like mine, a bit less than 3", you may need to file a "round" on the top front edge of the plastic, to fit flush. The other minor issue is with the sprayer button - it does require you to hold the button in to maintain the spray vs stream, unlike many other manufacturers whose spray heads have either a rocker or a toggle or a momentary "hold to lock on" button. Be very careful starting the main hold nut - mine very much wanted to cross-thread - once properly threaded, it's very easy to turn, so if it's at all hard, probably cross-threaded. Side Notes: If you prefer the handle to the left, it can be so installed, but the handle will open away from you rather than toward, and you need to reverse the hot and cold lines if you want it to go "hot-left"/"cold-right". Some reviewers have complained about very slow flow from one side or the other. I strongly recommend holding the metal bottom of the feeder hoses with moderate (non-crushing) grip while tightening the nut onto the feed line - they want to turn with the nut, and you want to prevent them twisting excessively and "kinking". A very light coating of Vaseline/petroleum jelly or KY can be applied to both the feed hose washers and the sprayer hose connector's O-rings. When spinning on the main nut, the screws tend to turn in, so you may need to back them out again, to have enough available thread to tighten. Oh, and the height of the stream means you need to hold objects being hosed IN the sink, else there will be splash all over the place. The soap dispenser is all plastic, operates well (and easily) and has a good capacity, fillable from above or below. Summary: A beautiful, robustly-made and stylish installation. We'll see how it lasts...

The Kohler Arsdale faucet is a very nice looking addition to my kitchen. Everything needed for the install is included, including braided supply lines (3/8" fittings), hardware and 3 hole cover plate. The faucet is fully assembled and ready to go. The polished chrome looks good and does not show fingerprints or water marks. The pull down spray head movement is smooth, and docks with a magnetic mechanism and hose weight. The spray pattern is a wide fan that is powerful but does not splash back. The spray and flowrate is good, even with homes with well water. The soap dispenser is a nice touch and fits the hole that once held a sprayer. The handle has a different movement and does take time to get used to the motion of it. This faucet uses ceramic disk valves, and also comes with a limited lifetime warranty. I look forward to years of enjoying this faucet.

This is my favorite kitchen faucet. My second favorite is the one I am taking out. I love the pull down sprayer and I really like the one handle style which leaves room for the soap dispenser. When I need soap it is only a few inches away. This Arsdale, by Kohler, is the latest in style and the poilshed chrome is perfect for my kitchen. I'm sure I will receive many years of use from this faucet.

Kohler Faucets are known for their quality, and this one is very solid and well made. There are few plastic parts. This faucet was relatively easy to install, it would have been much easier if our old faucet hadn't been so corroded, and if our sink cabinet was wider. There was one part of the instructions that wasn't clear. In the instructions it told us to purge the line before connecting. We read the instructions a couple of times and couldn't figure out how to do that. We just let the water run a bit once it was finished. When I unpacked the faucet, I was very impressed with the weight that helps the spray nozzle retract. It is heavy and I thought for sure, it would retract on its own. After installing the faucet and testing it out, the spray head doesn't retract on it's own, like I hope; but the nozzle reaches to all corners of the sink and with my hand guiding it, it retracts. We've installed this faucet in the our "man cave" which we've just redone. We are joking that this faucet is perfect for it, since the handle looks like a beer tap and it operates like a joystick. Seriously though, this is a very well made faucet and should last a long time.

KOHLER Arsdale Single-Handle Pull-Down Sprayer Kitchen Faucet with Soap/Lotion Dispenser in Polis...
KOHLER Arsdale Single-Handle Pull-Down Sprayer Kitchen Faucet with Soap/Lotion Dispenser in Polished Chrome - a Home Depot Seeds Program Review I broke my kitchen faucet. Well, not actually “broke” but I dropped a pan on it, creasing it and creating a pinhole leak that managed to make a fine spray four or five feet away. The old faucet had a separate sprayer handle that I almost never used, it didn’t offer much clearance to the bottom of the sink so I couldn’t put very large dishes under it and now, with the pinhole leaked, it managed to wet the counters and floor. I figured it was time for a new faucet so I got this Kohler Arsdale Single-Handle Pull-Down Sprayer Kitchen Faucet that seems to solve all of the problems with the old faucet pretty well. The Kohler Arsdale has a pull-down sprayer that is very convenient and has a nice long reach. I find I’ve used it more often than I used to old one the entire time I had it. The bottom of the faucet head is a full 16 inches above the bottom of the sink which leaves lots of space for big bowls and pans. The hot and cold water are controlled by a single handle that acts sort of like a joystick which will take a little time for me to get used to. In the place of the old sprayer there’s a soap dispenser. I did put some hand soap in it but don’t really use it that much. I suppose I could fill it with dish soap but it doesn’t have enough reach to make that particularly useful. Installation was a piece of cake. It took me about two hours with the first hour needed to remove the old faucet. The large nut holding it in has corroded enough to make removal very difficult. Lucky the grandchildren weren’t around to learn new words. Once the old one was out, putting the new one in took about 15 minutes. One thing they mention in the installations documentation is to put a wood backing just under the sink to hold the large nut. This faucet it much heavier than my old one and Kohler suggest using the wood if the faucet is being installed on a sink with thin stainless like mine. I had to remove the faucet, find the wood, drill a hole in it and reinstall, all of which took another 45 minutes. Even with the wood backing, the weight and height of the faucet allows some wobble, not like it’s loose but enough to move the stainless steel. Maybe I should replace my sink with a better quality one. This Kohler Arsdale Single-Handle Pull-Down Sprayer Kitchen Faucet is a very nice looking faucet and I really like the pull-out sprayer. The single handle is a little different for me but nothing I won’t get used to pretty quickly. The separate soap dispenser is kind of novel but I’m not sure how much I’ll use it. It is pretty top heavy and requires a heavy duty sink or a good backing under the sink if yours isn’t. This faucet should last me for quite a long time and Kohler offers a limited lifetime warranty on the faucet in case it starts to leak. First for comparison. I have had many faucets and they have plastic in several places. Usually in cortical locations where you know you will be replacing the faucet before too long. This faucet is extremel;y well made. All major areas are metal The lines are braided which is even better. A feature I especially like is the button on the pull out handle. This is something that is such a great feature. All other faucets have not been like that. If you want a solid yet really nice looking faucet, this is the one to buy. Super simple to install and rugged.

This review is for Kohler Arsdale Single-Handle Pull-Down Sprayer Kitchen Faucet with Soap/Lotion Dispenser in Vibrant Stainless (model K-R22970-SD-VS). I am always a fan of Kohler's faucets. They are stylish, well built, and fit the budget. This new Arsdale kitchen faucet is no exception. Besides, it comes with a soap dispenser, which saves me precious counter space and there is no spill to deal with.

A few things set this kitchen faucet apart from others. The Sweep spray - Nice wide, powerful blade of water, that does a nice job of "sweeping" your sink much faster, using less water than a normal spray pattern. Very nice feature to have. Kohler quality - Kohler makes high quality products for the home. The attention to detail is there with this kitchen faucet. Metal construction - Nice to have less plastic, and more metal. Lifetime Warranty - Something breaks, call Kohler. Overall, the installation is pretty much like most other high quality kitchen faucets...The water supply lines are the push - click - lock method. There's a weight that clamps around the spray line to aid in it's retraction. The spray handle has a nice magnetic "click" when inserted back into the arm. We love having a High-arch swing spout. This comes in extremely handy when filling large pots. Very nice to have this feature. The spray head is actually on a swivel, which makes spraying your sink very easy with no strain on your supply line like most other faucets. This is something you really enjoy having the first time you use it. Overall, this is a high quality kitchen faucet which we are extremely pleased with. Highly Recommended!!!

I replaced a two handle faucet with this. To do that you will need other parts from the store to connect this faucet. This is not expensive. The faucet was very easy to install. I love the flat or wide spray that it gives and as long as you have good pressure, this faucet will have good pressure. It is a stunning faucet in my farmhouse. It is easy to clean. I love the soap dispenser in the sink as that is one less thing on my counter.

Very modern, sleek design with a personality all it's own. We have installed Kohler faucets a few times over the years in rentals units and will say we have had little issues with performance or installation. For first timers, the instructions are clear. Personally, I like the sweep spray option especially for larger sinks. This. as with most faucets does have a reducer screen which I find lowers pressure so we remove them. Nice clean finish just wipes clean. It does include the deck plate so no need for additional purchase even though it's a bit flimsy as well as the soap dispenser being under par IMO I took 1 star off for that.

Kohler quality and style are present in this faucet. The solid brass and stainless construction make for a sturdy long lasting faucet. The single side handle moves freely and has enough space for hands around it. The pull down sprayer moves easily once the weight is adjusted properly. Changing from stream to spray is easy with the button on the spray head. The kit includes a plate to convert three hole sinks to the one hole for this faucet. A soap dispenser is included that matches the faucet and installs in the 4th hole of the sink. The soap dispenser pump removes for easy filling from above the counter. Be careful to measure your sink and anything above it to make sure there is enough clearance for this faucet. It is tall and may hit a window sill or similar items around the sink.

I hired a professional to install this faucet. It replaced an old, stiff spray faucet that did not have a pull down. I felt comfortable using an experienced individual due to the difficulty in accessing kitchen faucets with garbage disposals, sinks, etc. There were no complaints since the plumber had no problems. The faucet looks awesome! I have been using Kohler made products often in the last 15 years and have been very happy with their performance.

After ten days of using this kitchen faucet multiple times per day I have to say I really like it. I had a very similar faucet, although a different brand and a different color, so using this one wasn't a very new process for me. I like that the lever for turning on the water on this faucet is located somewhat higher, which makes for a 'cleaner' look. The lever is easy to operate, although it's sometimes a bit tricky to get it in the middle fir tepid water. By the way, the faucet can be installed with the lever on either the right side or the left side depending on your hand preference. I also like that this faucet can be installed without the oval plate. That also makes for a much cleaner & sharper look. Compared to my old pull-out sprayer kitchen faucet, the pull-out sprayer on this faucet seems to be a little shorter at just over a foot long, however, the water spray itself is wider so it's still reaches into the corners of my large sink. The soap dispenser unit that comes with this faucet is also handy. We had one with the previous faucet, so there was already a hole in my countertop for it. Installation of this faucet was pretty standard. The instructions are detailed and all items you need for installation are included. This was my husband's third or fourth such faucet installation, and it took him maybe an hour. Overall, I'm happy with this new kitchen faucet.

Kohler Arsdale single handle pull down sprayer kitchen faucet is a really nice faucet. It is nice and heavy. It can be installed on a single hole sink, or using the included escutcheon plate included, can be installed on a 2,3,or 4 hole sink. The mount has a great magnetic system to hold the spray head in place easily. If installing with a new sink, you can mount the faucet on the sink first, otherwise if you are replacing another faucet, the installation would be a bit more difficult. And it's nice to have a matching soap dispenser.

I've installed quite a few faucets in my day (insert old timey accent) and this one is by far my favorite. The installation is much simpler than other manufacturers make it out to be. You drop the faucet in the hole in the counter top, spin the retaining ring on until it's snug, tighten the two philips head screws to make it nice and tight, connect the hot/cold water supplies, connect the sprayer hose with the quick connect, and then snap the plastic weight on. It's dead simple. No funky connections to struggle with inside a tight cabinet. As for the faucet itself it's very nice. The handle movement is very smooth, albeit a little strange looking. The only two things I don't like are that the button to switch it from regular mode to vegetable sprayer has to be held down. As far as I can tell there is no way to lock it in place. And secondly, i think the weight that attaches to the sprayer hose needs to be heavier or the hose itself needs to have less friction so it can slide back into the faucet goose neck easier. Right now, I have to push the spray head up into the neck to get it to lock in. It's possible this might loosen up over time with more use so we shall see. Unfortunately, I don't have a second hole in my counter-top for the soap dispenser. But the look and feel of it are average. Nothing really special about these as they are replaced fairly often. Overall, a really nice faucet and the easiest one I've installed to-date. I'm stingy with my star ratings but this one gets a solid 4 stars.

OMG this faucet is a beast. It’s much larger than I thought it would be. Having problems filling large pots are a thing of the past with this faucet. And this has to be one of the heaviest faucets I have ever used. So Koehler has made yet again a fabulous product that should last for a long time. I like also that the spray is a fan style and not the usual round spray. I tried to capture that in a photo.
