It does not cool to the setting of 38 degrees....
It does not cool to the setting of 38 degrees. Per my refrigerator thermometer, it only gets down to about 44 degrees.

I would give the unit 5 stars if it had...
I would give the unit 5 stars if it had stops on the side to prevent cans and bottles from rolling out when the shelves are pulled out and below the shelves to prevent them from falling forward and dumping cans when they are pulled out. Otherwise, the capacity is great and cooling works well.

Would not recommend
The fridge looks appealing, but that's it. I had the fridge for about two months and I did what the instructions said, to leave it upright for 24 hours and then plugged in for 24 hours. The temperature was consistently at around 45-50 degree range. Every once in a while, it would go down to 38, but then would be around 50 again. After a month or so, we would find puddles of water on the floor and finally realized it was coming from the beverage cooler. Now my hardwood floor is slightly warped.

Looks great... nice and quiet. My only complaint is I wish it would go 3-4 degrees colder. 38° is lowest setting. If it went to down to 34°, I'd give it 5 stars.

Be aware that the lowest temp is 38 which is sufficient for water and soft drinks but not cold enough to my liking for beer. I would have shopped around had I known this but I also purchased the matching wine cooler and don’t want to return both so we kept it.

The unit works as advertised. I did have an initial problem. The adjustment legs were so tight I damage the plastic covers getting them loose. It took 3 emails and three weeks to get replacement legs. I will now need to empty unit and go thru the 24 hr cycles to turn unit on its back to replace legs

TBD -- fridge worked for about 2 weeks, then died. Currently waiting for a new board to be shipped (which we have to install ourselves). If the fix works and the fridge operates without issues, I would change my rating.

Good buying experience via HD in store pick up. Great looking refrigerator that I use for beer bottles (laying down) and cans.
My wife grabbed the bottom shelf for Prosecco, Rose and white wine.
Lowest temp is 38, wish it would go a couple of degrees colder otherwise it would be a 5 star rating.
The unit is also very quiet.

42 degrees is as cold as it’ll get. Just heard it making a noise and temp up to 48. I cycled power and noise stopped. This is 2nd time in last few months. It’s been in use under a year.
Way too expensive for what this is. Disappointed.

Zero issues. Everything works without any problems. It got cold quickly, and the blue LED inside looks great! As an added bonus, the bottom of the fridge is made in a such a way that it fits hopsy mini kegs nearly perfectly. We didn't need to, but the door can be switched to be hinged on the left.

We bought two Magic Chef fridges and returned them because...
We bought two Magic Chef fridges and returned them because they were excessively noisy. We replaced them with these ones which are amazingly quiet and hold their temperature. Great product. I would recommend them to anyone who is looking for a reasonably priced alternative to the $1,000+ fridges.
