I just installed 7 new Kidde hardwired smoke detectors in my house recently. So I was excited to add this additional Kidde product to my home protection arsenal. I ordered this product in Sept. 2023 and still am waiting for it to arrive. I have followed up multiple times and have not heard back. Included in my photos is the picture from the product listing from my order page. I was attracted to the features of the dual alarms for smoke and carbon monoxide. I also liked the voice alerts as that has been a struggle with my older products. No more interpreting intermittent beeps and flashing lights. And I also liked the round design which would fit in well with my other Kidde units, which are in my pictures. Looking forward to enjoying this product.

This alarm does dual duty, it is a smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector.It is hardwired with 2 aa battery back up.When alarm detects smoke, fire, or carbon monoxide, an 85-decible alarm and voice alert will sound stating, Fire. or Warning: Carbon Monoxide .Has a low battery warning also a sefl tester to make sure it is working. We put one on each level of the house and one in our bedroom/ Very nicely designed and sturdy

This smoke and carbon monoxide detector with voice alarm takes the guess work out of determining what type of danger is eminent. Along with its high pitched beep, the voice will alert you to what type of emergency is occurring. The device has batteries already installed and this just gives me a more peaceful state of mind that my family will be able to get out of the house in the event if fire or carbon monoxide exposure.

I am very happy with the Kidde Combination Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Detector. It came complete with mounting hardware and batteries. This eliminates one more chore that must be remembered and performed annually. Instead of two items to check and change batteries in, now there is only one item. I really like that it is powered by 2 AA batteries. They are easier to change and more readily available, not to mention cheaper than 9 Volt batteries. It comes with very detailed instructions on properly locating the detector. Takes less than 5 minutes to install and the test button is easy to identify. The alarm is loud enough to get your attention without being painful. It is recommended to test weekly.

This Kidde - FireX Smoke & Carbon Monoxide Detector is a great warning system. It has different distinct audio alarm sounds for smoke or carbon monoxide detection and the voice alert tells which danger. It also warns you of low batteries and has a self-testing component and a manual test button. It is powered by 2-AA batteries which are included. Installation was easy. The mounting bracket attaches to the wall or ceiling and the alarm turns onto the bracket. This allows for easy removal to replace the batteries. This is a great detector for in-home or garage use.

These detectors are easy to install and effective. I inadvertently tested one right away when I started using a stove burner which had some oil residue on it. Even though it didn't seem like it was producing much smoke and was 10-15' away, it triggered the alarm.

Great product, great price and ease of installation.

Fit the older wall attachments, so the change over was simple. The one in the kitchen has gone off only once; while I was cooking at a high temperature. So they seem to work well.

The smoke detectors look to be of good quality, easy to install, overall was a good buy.

i replaced older smoke detectors with smoke and CO detectors. Comes with long lasting batteries. Installed on ceiling with double sided tape (not included). I had to move the one in the kitchen away from the stove area as it was too sensitive. No adjustment for that. A good product.

I drove 20 miles out of town to Bowling Green, OH to get, apparently, the last Code One Smoke/CO, Internet # 312604004/Model # 21029509/Store SKU # 1005173565, detector in our metro area. The price on this website is $34.97. The box showed evidence of being previously opened and there was a little soil on the button giving the impression that it may have been a store return. I showed this to Customer Service who offered me $5 off. I figured I'd take a chance on it as it was the last one, accepted the discount and paid with credit card. When I got home I realized I had been charged the price of the newer model detector on the shelf, $49.97 (less the $5 discount). That's a $15 difference! Someone priced this unit the same as the newer model on the shelf, which is not right as they are not the same--not even cosmetically. Rather than drive 20 miles back to the store, I phoned Customer Service about this and was told the store does not match the internet price. Home Depot is usually very good about resolving issues, but not this store. This is not the Home Depot that I have known for so many years. I have to say I kind of feel ripped off. As far as the detector, I installed it the same day (4 days ago) and noted that it has a manufacture date 3 years previous–another disappointment. I hope it lasts as long and performs as well as the Kidde KN-COSM-B it replaced. So far so good...

love the product - easy to install and loud when tested. PROBLEM was when we went to install the units, one did not have the backing plate nor the screws like the other did (we purchased 2 on line). We called the store where they were purchased and shipped from(stores closer to us were out of stock) the the clerk was nasty. All we needed was a backing plate, we had other screws. Their policy was it needed to be returned before I could get replacement or backing plate. This was an on line order and I could not drive due to surgery, first was told item would be picked up in two days, they never showed - called again and a few days later, I get a call from a driver of 18 wheeler to pick up this alarm. He could not get into my area with big truck. Long story short, now store clerk said I have to bring it in person. I can not drive yet so I have one left I can not install yet! Pretty crappy customer service.

This one is a bit more affordable than some of the other kiddie ones. I believe they are the same brand. I also like that it takes double A batteries because if I have to buy d batteries one more time at like a convenience store at five time markup because my tenant took the battery out before an inspection I will go nuts.

Product was defective. I had to return it.

The smoke detector and co2 combined is loud enough to be heard in every room of the upstairs 1448 sq foot area. It can be mounted on the wall or ceiling with hardware included. Easy to install, batteries included.

I had someone install this and he said it was easy. I suppose it works well, but I don't really know because it hasn't had to alert me of smoke or carbon monoxide, thankfully.

I bought for Safety Concerns. 1 Battery. On a ladder. I am disabled; Crippled. Not 2 Batteries. 8 feet on a ladder.

The smoke detector works but the online order process was not good as we were given the incorrect smoke detector. Luckily, it fit in the existing socket on the wall but it does not speak to the rest of the detectors in the house as it should
