[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this hood to match our KitchenAid cooktop and are very happy with the quality And look. Only one wish, there are three speeds for the fan but only one level of lighting which is bright. Our old hood had a lower nightlight setting that this one doesn’t.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this hood to go along with the KitcheAid 6 burner Rangetop. The hood is quiet on the first setting, 39dB, and works well keeping saute smells from wafting through the kitchen and areas of the house that are close to the kitchen. Each setting above 1 gets progressively louder but is acceptable due to what the hood was designed to do. When grilling on a grill pan or cooking fish I use the 3rd fan setting. The blower, 400cfm, removes the cooking smells and keeps the kitchen from being smokey.

Yes, Chimney hoods appear a bit dated but it[s what my spouse wanted. Nice, high quality finish, better than many on the market. Reasonably quiet, and nice finished underside. Easy to clean and access filters.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've only had this installed for about 3 weeks, but it gets alot of use. So far so good and it looks great too. Very powerful and very sleek design. I wish the lights were a little brighter, but that just personal preference. Great hood.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Have had for a few weeks. It is a decent hood. wish they made it a little wider to accept all the exhaust from a 36 inch cook top. The cover on the bottom makes it a pain to install. not only do you have to remove the cover (which was easy), most of the trim needs to be taken off to get access to the screw locations. They should send it disassembled to save steps and time. Also, the stainless protective film is impossible to fully remove, as they fold it and assemble with the film installed. therefore, there is always a little bit on every seam that you cant get to... without using a knife and trimming... The button system is clunky, and they seem to tip side to side a lot. For some reason they are not momentary switches, they are latching... so you can have all 3 modes turned on at the same time.. it just grabs the highest setting anyways. You'd think they would use soft touch buttons.. It is really quiet though.

We've had this hood fan since 2016 and have had 5 different control boards. Kitchen Aid says there are no known issues but I think they're ignoring the facts. Issue is typically that the lights won't turn on, but we've had the controls stop working completely. I'd avoid Whirlpool in general as we've had a lot of issues with our Jenn-Air products as well, all under the Whirlpool parent company.

I really like this range hood. Just don’t love stainless for the way it cleans. Need to buy specialized cleaning wipes.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This canopy hood was included in a new home I bought from Pulte Homes in Georgetown, Texas. The main complaint I have is that the lower front corners are very sharp and create a serious cut hazard. The Hood does not seem to vent well even at the high speed setting. The lights are very bright and light up the range below very well.

Hood looks good, but lights are too blotchy and bright, and there is only one brightness level. I would try less bright bulbs, but these cannot be replaced without a technician. Even my 30 year old prior hood had two brightness levels, and that was before the harsh and intense LEDs took over.

We had this kitchen hood installed when we remodeled our kitchen in the summer of 2017. In December of 2017, the lights stopped working on the hood. The local service company for Kitchenaid came out and determined that the light kit needed to be replaced, which they did at that time. Then in June of 2018, the lights were only working intermittently, so another tech came out from the same service company. Of course he couldn't find anything wrong at the time. Two weeks later, the lights went out completely again. A third time a tech came out today and he felt some wires were not properly secured when the kit was changed out so he strapped them together. Not even 10 minutes after he left, the lights went out completely yet again. Called the service company immediately to see if he could come back, but he could not and we now have to take a FOURTH day off work so they can come back and assess. We strongly feel that this hood is defective and Kitchenaid refuses to replace it. As a kitchen designer familiar with most major appliance brands, I have never had this many issues with ANY other brand of hood. This is very disappointing that they have failed to properly address this issue and that we are repeatedly forced to take time off work to wait for servicing, which does NOT solve the problem. If you buy this hood, I strongly suggest that you get the extended warranty because you will probably need it.

The way the builder mounted the hood, far up the wall really lessened the likelihood of me bumping my head on and corner of the hood while engrossed in cooking something.....

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Hood looks great and works just fine. The lights and fan speeds are solid upgrades. Just be warned that you need to purchase additional items to get this installed correctly. KitchenAide only provides a limited amount of vent cover, and the price of the extender kit was several hundred dollars and not easy to obtain. You also need to purchase the vent tubing and the electrical plug. So thus purchase ended up being about 40% more than just the price of the hood when everything was obtained for installation.
