Not good as advertised. Would not penetrate wood stud.

Its a big drill bit, it does big drill bit things.....

Rod broke at the end 1st time drilling

Went through one floor joists only. Was too dull to go through a second one. The shaft is too stiff to allow positioning for good holes.

Worked great for drilling a hole for running electrical in an external wall to attic.

Doesn’t attach well enough to extension. Slipped off in wall despite max tightening. Drill bit shaft broke completely on second use. Returned product, do not recommend.

Excellent bit, a little rigid but not so bad it didn’t do the job. I would guess that you couldn’t bend more than 8 degrees and make it work effectively in a home situation working in a wall with drywall on both sides. Exterior wall maybe more.

I had to drill through a fire block about 5 feet down a wall . The flex bit did the job without a problem . Yes , I did have ample room in the attic for this bit , since it is limited on it's flexibility .

Stiffer than expected. The drill side is soft and will wear out soon. Other than that, got the job done.

This auger does a great job behind walls - the screw point aggressively starts and easily pulls the bit into the work surface. The 72" length is perfect for pulling wires into a space above or below a mid-wall entry point, even with 9' ceilings. The bit has a hole by the tip as well as one by the hex-shaped shank, which makes it easy to attach wire or cable for pulling through from either end of a hole that is bored. The hex shank is perfect for avoiding slippage that can occur with a round shank. Although it is not an inexpensive tool, its quality is definitely worth the price. Highly recommended.

Works great and really saved me some time on fixing sheetrock, just needed a few small patches instead of much larger ones, once it bites down it will eat through some wood, very flexible and strong, so far no complaints from me.

This product takes a bit of know-how to use effectively. With that cautionary warning, this self-starting 6' long drill makes 3/4" holes in wood and sheetrock for running cable and wires behind walls and voids. It works well but requires a strong drill, preferably one with a side stabilizing bar to prevent your hands and wrists from being twisted too far if it strikes a nail. Works well but a bit overpriced.

Was exactly what I needed to hide some surface wiring in my house. Not quite as flexible as I thought it would be, but did the job!

Flexiable enough to go behind the wall to the base without a problem. But the tip is too dull to be able to drill through the stud. When pulling it out of the wall, I had realized the end of the bit was flat and not pointed. It would not grip into the wood to drill. Instead, I was eventually able to get the measurement to drill up from the basement into the wood and slide the wire up to the correct position.

A excellent tool to drill through fire blocks in walls from an attic. It is long enough to reach them.

Broke the first time ...’maybe a hard wood

Used this to install a light in middle of den ceiling. Worked like a charm to get across/through 5 joists to the sidewall, avoiding any cuts in the ceiling. Went with this thicker shank option after reading about other's experiences with the head snapping on the thinner-shanked version. Followed other's tips about "pulsing" through each joist, and that technique worked well. Took a little patience backing it out, but all in all, very pleased with how the project went...so well worth the investment.

The Drill bit is a little bit stiffer than it needs to be. Of course I’m not an engineer. But the product they had what I wanted it to do. I just didn’t get the consistency of the holes because of its stiffness

Worked fine for drilling holes through joists in order to run wire for a ceiling lighting installation.

This thing worked great for me...lol I would recommend a corded still to turn it though as I almost burnt out my ryobi cordless while trying to drill for holes
