This lock was easy to install, hooked up to WiFi was flawless and paired to my phone was immediate, this lock works flawlessly and looks great an absolute great buy.

Installed, rekeyed this morning, in 40 minutes. Synced to Google Home. Recommend lithium batteries for smart locks to reduce replacements. So far, so good. Have to see if keypad holds up in sun and app continues to sync well. Now, everything is great.

The Kwikset Halo Keypad lock was easy to install and program. So far it works totally as expected. It is the perfect lock for my vacation rental as I can monitor battery life from a distance as issue different codes for various people who need access.

Easy install. It connected pretty fast to my WiFi and phone app. It also has the smart key feature which allows you re-key it to make it work with other door locks.

This lock was easy to install and program!! I was truly surprised at how easy it was to install and program the lock and program additional users and codes. I highly recommend this wifi enabled lock.

The good with this lock it works well as a basic keypad opening and locking lock. The installation process was average and is doable by someone with basic background. The App is easy to install and not bad to use and connect to your router wifi. The App works well initially when bluetooth installed and then wifi installed. You must be in the home to install the app which is an issue and a negative if you lose wifi connection. Mine has consistently lost wifi connection after a few days and I have had to go through the reconnection process with bluetooth. Again that works if you're at the home if like in my case I'm in another state for months that process doesn't work. I was told by support that you must use a specific router which is indicated on the box but I didn't notice that? I have Xfinity wifi and router that is not a preffered router, how can that be Xfinity is huge wifi and cable company. The last big issue is the battery life is very poor, new batteries last less than 2 months approximately. If your like me and away for 4-5 months at a time that doesn't work well. I like Kwikset products but can not recommend this product due to the issue with losing wifi connection and very poor battery life. Even of you use it as just the keypad you will have to change batteries often even with little use as mine is with me away. Maybe with firmware upgrades things will be better??????

It has a lot of step by step instructions which is rare these days. I love the lock, the look, the ease in setting up the codes. I was so excited i could even rekey the lock to the lock on the other door to just have one key for 2 diff locks. Made me feel great to do this myself as a 58 yr old female with severe disabilities using my arms and hands. A must buy for homeowners.

can't even set the app to unlock when your in proximity. guides are trash. the lock itself works ok. looks nice. you can set everything up on your own phone, you have to sign into your account on everyone else's phones in order to allow them to use the app and set up code. why have a schedule if everyone has access anyways?

I purchased this as I already had Kwikset hardware on my front door and wanted to update the deadbolt but keep the same color. I am so happy with this purchase. It was easy to install - I used the instructions that came in the box, but the app has a step by step guide too. It took me less than an hour and was very user friendly. It’s nice to not have to deal with keys any more and use codes for different people. I like all the features of the smart lock and also the ability to lock / unlock from the app, from any where. I was comparing the touch screen versus the buttons on the Halo version, but really prefer the look of the touch screen. The lock works very smoothly and I would recommend this to others!

Lock was easy to install and the quality of the materials is good. The software however is ok. Luckily I had an old iPhone to pair to it because my new one wouldn’t work til I updated the firmware. Then I had to reset the lock and repair the other phone. It won’t work with my girlfriends newer android phone which is frustrating and the only reason I can’t give it 5 stars. So def check the website for phone comparability before buying.

Replace my entry door figured I would replace the hardware also this lock installed in about an hour and works as it should keypad is nice no keys to carry works with smart home Alexa can the door from bed. Quality of all Hardware is top-notch.

Download the app and follow the instructions and made it easy for installation and setup on your app. I would definitely purchase this item again if needed.

We had a front door custom made and added the Aura lock. The carpenter had a difficult time getting the front and back together correctly. It is in now and works as it should. Just got done setting up all the options, very happy with all those!

It works so well, is very responsive, and connects to my Google home assistant flawlessly. Install went very fast – the instructions were clear and concise. The only problem I ran into was that our 1960’s door was slightly too thin! We used shims for now because we are replacing this door in the next few weeks. But if you have an older door, check that out before you purchase. What is weird is our previous deadbolt was a Kwikset touchscreen lock so I didn’t even consider this might be a problem. Your door should be 1-3/4” to 2”, and they sell a kit for doors thicker than that. Setup went flawlessly with the app, connected to my Wi-Fi, and got my family members’ fingerprints all set up with the lock. I then connected to my Google Home and can now lock and unlock my door with my voice! My favorite part is the fingerprint reader works so well – we have had zero issues with it recognizing our fingerprints. It works better than our cell phone fingerprint reader! It also locks and unlocks instantly once you touch the pad, no wait and no delay. You can store up to 50 different fingerprints in your account. The only thing is if you want to use this lock to let in a pet sitter, guest, or handyperson, you would need to meet with them in person to set up their fingerprint first. There is no way to add someone’s fingerprint remotely, so this probably would not be a good lock for an AirBnb where someone needs access and you aren’t there with them. Love love love it!!!

This lock is garbage. It eats through batteries in about 30 days. No where bear the time the specs reference. It will only close if you pull the door to help it. I have had it for about 7 months. In that time I have changed the batteries 5 times. I finally just gave up. I went to change the batteries today and its power draw is so bad that it destryed the batteries I installed last and leaked battery acid everywhere, rendering itself useless in the process. Now i have to go spend more money on another crappy Kwikset lock because I can’t afford to re-key me entire house right now. Garbage. Beware

The Kwikset Halo Touch is at best a work in progress. When I got this lock I thought it was going to be a great addition to my home, but unfortunately it has several shortcomings that make it mediocre at best. I'll go over the good points first, then the bad. INSTALLATION: The lock comes well packaged with clearly marked parts compartments and great instructions. The hardware installation took about 10 minutes. The motorized deadbolt will need to operate without obstruction, if it rubs the doorframe you will need to adjust your door in order for it to operate properly. The software was straightforward and had good instructions. Adding the lock to my account and adding three users took about 20 minutes. The fingerprint enrollment process requires you to place your finger on the sensor three times in order to get a good read. All of the fingerprint info is stored in the lock itself and not in the app or in the cloud. If you have more than one of these locks you will need to enroll everyone on each lock separately, there is no way top copy users between locks. OPERATION: The lock responds immediately to a finger placed on the sensor. There is no perceivable delay between finger placement and the door unlocking. No internet connection is required for the lock to work, so it will function during a power failure or internet outage. To lock the door you simply touch the sensor with any finger. Anyone can lock the door whether enrolled or not. This can be a bit annoying if you bump the sensor with your finger while closing the door and it locks when you don't want it to. You can set the lock to lock automatically after a delay between thirty seconds and ten minutes. It integrates with Alexa so you can lock & unlock the door just by using your voice. Anyone can lock the door, but to unlock it first you need to enable voice commands in the Alexa app and enter a four digit code. You then speak the code when prompted to unlock the door. THE BAD: This lock eats batteries faster than cookie monster can eat a plate of cookies. The original four alkaline AA batteries that came with the lock lasted about a week. I replaced the batteries with four lithium AA batteries. I thought I'd be good for about six months. I was wrong. About three weeks later the lock stopped opening, even though the battery level in the app said 60%. I checked the batteries with a tester and two of the four were almost completely dead and the other two were weak. At this rate the lock will cost over $50 a year in batteries if you use lithium. I have opted to use NiMh rechargeable batteries. I have only been using them for several days so I can't say how long they will last. MORE BAD: If your hands are even the slightest bit damp or wet you can forget about getting into your house. Make sure you have your phone with you so you can use the app to unlock the door. The app can take about 15 seconds to respond when unlocking or locking the door, so if its pouring rain you'll be soaked before the door opens. EVEN MORE BAD: The app service has gone offline at least twice that I am aware of in the month I have had this lock. This means that if you can't open the lock with your fingerprint you won't be able to open the lock with the app either. You'll be locked out unless you have your key with you. My wife was locked out of the house twice since I installed this lock. Let's just say she was less than pleased. We have both resorted to carrying the key, just in case. My previous lock was a Schlage electronic door lock. It wasn't connected to the internet, required you to type a 4 digit code and turn the deadbolt manually. The single 9v lithium battery lasted over a year and no one was EVER locked out of the house. I never carried the key, heck I don't even know where the key to that lock is. I really wanted to love this lock, but as mentioned above it has many shortcomings that make it less than ideal as a lock for your home, unless you like standing out in the rain and spending your hard earned cash on batteries. I'd definitely not recommend this lock because of these issues.

It’s finger print feature is absolutely the best and will hold up to 100 fingerprints and also has a key lock for added security in case something goes wrong with the touch pad. It is really made well and we love the black color. You can also operate the lock from the app which is a very nice feature for safety. It has a rekey feature to prevent from breaking. It is also pick resistance from thief’s trying to pick the lock. This is a very nice product and will definitely use again if needed.It is also very easy to install.

The downloaded free app walks you through every step with ease. It is extremely easy to use and set up the app once installed. Simply scan your two finger prints allotted to each user and done! My only complaint is that you can only scan 2 fingers per user but you can have up to 50 users. For me I had to set up two users for myself to be able to scan my right thumb and pointer and then another user for my left two fingers. But other than that I LOVE this lock. Easy to use app to see if door is locked or not. We have a smart house so I can just ask our speakers if the front door is locked or even tell it to unlock the front door and it will do it! Love this!! Would definitely recommend.

My family loves all the smart products but this one is my favorite! I no longer have to worry about forgetting my keys or locking myself out of the house becuae it opens with my fingerprints. I love how I can set up specific profiles for my family members and only they can get in the house but the app also sends me a notification letting me know who entered my home. I can also lock my home from anywhere. This is the best invention of all time!

The app is self explanatory and easy to use. I have added all my extended family to the fingerprint pad so they have simple and quick access only takes about 30 seconds for each. It works great and has built in features like if you use the wrong finger it locks so the security is great. Really helpful when you have your hands full with groceries. I would highly recommend this lock to anyone who wants a simple secure system. The only downfall I can see is how long the 4 double A batteries will last. Make sure to use good batteries the ones that come with it aren't the best..

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I installed this Halo Touch Smart Lock about two weeks ago and I am loving the convenience and security of it. It was easy to install and only took 10-15 minutes. The parts were in boxes, numbered step by step and the app also shows the steps to install. The app downloaded pretty fast and setup was quick and easy. It did take about 15 minutes for me to connect the bluetooth, but the fingerprint process took less than a minute per person. I really like that I can use my fingerprint not only to unlock the door, but also lock it from the outside. I like that I don't have to worry about the power or wifi going out, because keys are also included. One of my favorite things about this lock, is that it can be locked from a distance. I tested it from three miles away and again from fifteen miles away, I was able to lock the door both times through the app. If I forget to lock the door or don't remember if I did, I can check the app and give myself peace of mind. Another of my favorite things, is the app shows lock history. I know when the door was locked and who used their fingerprint to unlock it. This Halo Touch Smart Lock doesn't only look nice, it gives me a sense of security.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After having the Kwikset Halo touch smart lock installed for the last few days, I thought it would be a good time to write a review about our experience with it. From the time that we opened the box, it was a simple and rather pleasant experience getting it installed and then secured. Note: Our door was pre-drilled. The lock has a guide for the exact requirements to drill out a solid door. I followed the included instructions and started by removing the old deadbolt we had in place. This was easy. From there, pay attention to the distance the doorhandle hole is away from the edge of the door as this will determine which configuration you need for deadbolt itself as it's adjustable. I thought I would have to modify the current drilled hole until I realized this. Once I got the deadbolt in place, it was a simple matter of installing the external finger-print reading side of the lock and running the cable back inside. After this, it's held in place by a mounting plate that the interior unit connects to. All in all, it was a far simpler installation that I expected it to be. When we initially tested it, it was getting stuck and jamming. Try adjusting the loosening and tightening screws on the deadbolt (edge of the door) and see if that helps. We were able to get it to close and open within the Kwikset app without fail after this. One other thing, use the supplied strikeplate and make sure to run the supplied screws into the wood of the door frame. This will give you far better security and performance. 2 pieces of duct-tape can help hold it in place while you drill. Finally, the app itself was easy to get installed and configured. After pairing the lock via bluetooth, the app updated the firmware on the lock and we were ready to register fingerprints. Overall, it's been a great experience. I'm interested in seeing how long the batteries last. It's nice to know that when we're in town we can make sure our door at home is locked!

The online set up was super easy and linking my fingerprint was fast! Locking and unlocking with my finger is a lot easier than digging for my keys when I have an armfull of groceries. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received and installed the Kwikset HALO Touch one week ago. I am amazed on how easy it was to install it on my front door. The Quick Start Guide is well done and the labelled on each box really help to follow the steps. Once installed, if you do not know it is a fingerprint lock, there is no way to know, it is really discreet. Another thing very nice and handy is how to access the battery compartment, no need a screwdriver, just pull the battery compartment. The next big step is to install the App on a phone, one thing to be sure before hand is to check the phone operating system version. The minimum for android is 8.0. After creating an account, I called everyone in the house and we did setup the fingerprints for each member. It took about 5mn. I like the possibility to give access a certain part of the day, like if you have a maid, you can setup his/her fingerprints and allow access only when he/she is supposed to come. Of course, with the App you can follow who is entering, or that the door has been lock or opened if the key was used. For our family this door lock is great because no key needed for the kids, no risk of losing keys and even if someone spies, there is no code, so in my opinion this system is the safest. My conclusion is that if you want to invest in a door lock, do not hesitate and buy the Kwikset HALO Touch. You will not regret it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am simply amazed by the Halo Touch fingerprint smart lock , it took about 40 minutes to read the instructions and have it installed. It has an app that you download , when you open your door it sends an alert to your phone that your door is unlocked, I don't think I've felt this safe in a long time. The alert I get on my phone is pretty loud so I can hear it in the other room. It has a fingerprint lock , which you can add quit a few people to your lock. The good thing is that it also comes with keys , just in case your WiFi is acting up. The deadbolt is really thick and the lock itself is very well made. Having this smart lock has made me feel safe enough to sleep through the night without worrying about my families safety.

I have no idea how this lock is highly rated, mine does not do anything it states it can do most of the time, and if it does it struggles. Unlocking your door remotely forget it, unlocking it using your app forget it, inputting users names for their own codes forget it updating the lock forget it having a history of access to the lock forget that too. This lock is a paper weight.
