I bought this model for my rv - which is basically a house that continually moves… it’s been perfect for this application.

        Very pleased
        We purchased this about 2 months ago and my wife and I both really like it. It has several preset heating options that work very well. It’s much larger inside than previous microwaves that I’ve owned, often allowing 2 things to be heated at the same time. It looks really good as well.

          Great all around purchase

            Don't bother with this
            Bought this May 2021. Broken by Feb 2024 (see pictures for details). Checked the reviews here and decided to contact LG Support. Waste of time - they will ask you a bunch of questions and eventually tell you your unit is no longer under warranty, despite 10-year magnetron warranty. Told us that we need to hire a technician to diagnose the problem, which would end up costing close to, if not more than a brand new unit.

              Could have been 5 Stars
              I hate the fact that I cannot silence this microwave. I would give it 5 stars as far as performance, appearance & size. Not only am I unable to silence, instead of simple beeps, it plays the MOST annoying song of any appliance I have ever owned.

              I’ve gone through 2 of these in 2 years. They seem to have a one year expiration then they start sparking from an internal panel. Called LG but that was useless, I’m glad my daughter noticed and was quick to stop it once it started sparking. Stay clear!

Love the size and functions, but quality is not LG. I have LG tv, dishwasher, washer, dryer and refrigerator and never have any issue but this type of microwave is big disappointment.

                  Never seen a Microwave rust internally as this one. You think they would do something about it. I called the number given to other rusting (LG customer support) and was told out of luck because over a year old. BTW it is recommended to get new if your micro rusts for safety and health risks. Bye LG. Trust me, these photos are not food. Everyone is rust. I think I should have done something sooner. I am shopping for major appliances as this time too. My LG fridge is going too. No Lg's ever again!

                    Very disappointed. Failed right at 1 year.
                    Purchased 14 months ago. Over the past 2-3 months a strange noise occured maybe 3 or 4 times. Once the unit was stopped it seemed to work fine for 3-4 weeks. Turns out magnetron was dying. 10 year warranty? Warranty labor and inconvenience would cost more than buying a new unit. Thought I would get better service from LG. Lesson learned.

                        Caught Fire On Its Own
                        This microwave was 5 years old and caught fire as soon as my child turned it on today to heat his lunch. Luckily I was home and I was able to put it out quickly. The actual microwave itself caught fire, not the food, and the food was still cold. This was an electrical failure of some kind.

                          Display stopped after 4 years
                          This LG microwave worked fine for 4 years with light usage - but now the display is failing to fully show all digits - ( for example the 8 looks like a 4) so clearly the display board is failing. I called LG customer service and they were horrible - I sen them a photo of the the problem and they still did not understand what was wrong. Hey LG please step up and fix this - and I will reconsider my 1 star review.

                            Door Opening Button
                            The microwave looks good and heats well enough but the door opener/button broke after 13 months of light use and we haven’t been able to find any replacement part. Will stick to GE or Whirlpool. Very disappointed.

                              Literally caught on fire
                              The electronics in this thing literally caught on fire. There was a microwave safe dish and a slab of butter on it that we were trying to melt. The side of the microwave flamed up. I’m glad we hadn’t walked away. There was nothing metal in the microwave — used these dishes tons of times in the microwave before and never had an issue. So fairly certain this was just a product failure.

                                RANDOMLY COMBUSTS - Lucky my house didnt burn down
                                yeah.... i had the microwave for three months. Made myself lunch, closed it and walked away. it wasn't running, there was nothing in it, and yet something went wrong and it decided to catch on fire inside. If you do a quick google search you will find a ton of reviews stating that these microwaves catch on fire, and i wish i would have known before purchasing. The only reason I even realized there was a fire was because of the burning electrical smell. Lucky my house didnt burn down.

                                  This microwave was worthless and a fire hazard! I'm surprised it's still being sold!! Had it for about 18 months definitely less then 24months and the magnetron blew out just like other people said on their reviews it sounded like an electric explosion and looked like a lightning storm inside every time we used it! I'm surprised it didn't burn inside!! Just stay away from this product!!

                                    Less than two years old and failing
                                    For the past several months it's been hit and miss if it will work. When it's a miss it sounds like and electric explosion and looks like a lightning storm inside. Photo is a video still of the lightning inside the microwave. Sadly I don't have my recent to make a claim on the 10 year magnetron warranty. Avoid!
