[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've owned this Microwave for roughly a month now. It looks great in my kitchen, and certainly does the job. Pro's: It's very good looking, I love the LED light in it, it's easy to clean, and doesn't eat up a ton of counter space. It operates well, cooks fast, doesn't seem to have a hot or cold spot in the oven. There are some innovative controls like the automatic 30 second on from the start button. I like how easy it is to add time to the cooking cycle. I also like that I can slide my finger across the time bar (for lack of a better term) to increase the time. Con's: 1) Cooking is in 10 second intervals. You cannot set the timer for 15 seconds, it has to be set for 10 or 20 seconds, nothing in-between. When re-heating some items I want 15 seconds, without having to hover over the microwave. 2) The oven can't chain cooking commands together, for example I can't cook at 50% power for 1:30, then have it cook at 100% power for 50 seconds. I have to run the 50% 1:30 program, then when that ends, start the process over by putting in the 50 seconds. This type of functionality is especially helpful when trying to get everything to be done at the same time. For example, a steak on the grill, where I'm cooking it for 20 minutes. I would love to put the veggies in the Microwave before I start the steak, have it count down 15 minutes, then cook the veggies at 100% power for 5 minutes. The steak and the veggies would then be done at the same time. Other (less expensive) microwaves have this capability. It seems this would be a great feature. 3) When the Microwave is done cooking it has a cute tune it plays. If you don't open the door, it plays it again in about 30-45 seconds, if you still don't open the door it plays it again, and again, and again, and so on... I think it does stop at about 5 minutes, but the fact that I can't turn this off or turn the tune into a simple beep is REALLY ANNOYING! The tune is annoying, but to have it repeat until you finally open the door is over the top annoying. If I follow directions and leave an item in the microwave for a few minutes after it finishes cooking, I have to hear the reminder tune (not just a tone a tune) over and over until I open the door. Whoever thought this up needs to examine their motive, because this will make one crazy.

I recently renovated the kitchen in my condo and replaced the “over the range” microwave, that was previously installed, with a modern range hood. I needed a small microwave that had a small foot print to fit on one of my counter tops. Enter this LG microwave. It’s the perfect size for warming things up. A large dinner plate fits on the turn table without a problem. This microwave looks like it belongs in my new, modern kitchen. I’m very happy with the way it looks on my counter and it’s performance. It warms items up perfectly...no cold spots in the center. It plays a nice tune when the cycle completes instead of annoying beeps. I’d definitely purchase this item again

This microwave is well worth the purchase price. I have always found LG products to be of excellent quality, have reliable performance and fair in purchase price.

Sleek and efficient. the replacement for a twelve year old microwave. I really like the fact the controls are behind the door, it has a clean uncluttered look.

Very large countertop microwave. It is very powerful, easy to operate, sleek, sexy (yes, i said "sexy") and modern. I couldnt imagine anything better unless it was self loading and self cleaning.

We replaced our over-the-range microwave with a "real" hood with this tiny microwave are are very happy. It is about the same power as the old one and performs all the tasks that we need for a microwave. It is smaller but so far that hasn't been a problem. It even has a melodic "I'm finished" tone that is pleasant. Not disappointed at all.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just bought this microwave. It's pretty, but the outside plus and minus buttons where the slider is are not lit in any way. Even in the daylight, you can hardly see it. There is a bit of a raised area to feel the buttons, but it's not enough. In a dim room, the clock & timer are fine, but you have to strain to see the plus/minus bar. If you wanted to use this in a dimly lit kitchen at night, no way. Terrible design. I wish I could return this.

Living in a small place it gets rather hot using my oven so my microwave has become my oven replacement. I am able to change the power settings for different meals. Since I have grandchildren that stop by I don't have to worry about those little fingers turning on or getting pinched in the door because the controls actually inside. I like the fact that my microwave chimes a tune instead of that loud beeping sound regular microwave make. The style and sleek design are perfect. I also never have to worry about uneven heating because the turntable inside is fully supported. It is so beautiful I will be redesigning my kitchen based around my microwave.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have now been using this microwave for about 6 weeks. It is another great LG product. It took me a bit of time to get used to because there are no number buttons for putting in time. This microwave relies heavily on the programmable functions. The design is sleek and beautiful. Many have spoken about the design so I am going to focus on the cooking and cleaning of this wonderful microwave. The very first thing I did was to pop a bag of popcorn. It did an amazing job! I have used many microwaves over the year to pop popcorn and this has been by far the best. There were very few kernels not popped. I then warmed up many different dishes as well as cook some frozen dinners using the programed options. All of the food came out great. I defrosted some meat that I had for a salad. The microwave did the job quickly without drying the meat out. One of the advantages of this microwave that I read about was that the inside is easy to clean. Challenge accepted... I cooked some refried beans until they were making a mess all over the inside. It took no time at all to just wipe out the inside with a damp cloth. True to it's claims the inside cleans out very easily.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] In the short time that we have had this microwave, we have found it to have plenty of power, heating things up quickly. While we were a bit unsure of how easy it would be to use without a number pad, we quickly got used to it and found it to be a non-issue. Sensor Cook and Reheat features are helpful features, taking the guesswork out of cooking, reheating and defrosting. We also like the sleek, modern design and the unique, cheery chimes as opposed to the old bells or buzzers. Besides the actual performance, our favorite feature is the EasyClean interior; it really does seem to make wiping it down much easier. Overall, it's a good microwave. The only real knock we have on it is that our black version does show fingerprints and smudges a bit easier than others we have had. Other than that, I'd give it a big thumbs-up!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've had this microwave oven for a week now, and have tried out most of the features. Like all the ovens out there, it's basic function is to heat food, and it does that well. What separates them then, besides power and size, is how easy they are to live with. This model has a clean look that they achieved by removing the cluttered controls. Three controls remain: The Start button will start the oven with 30 seconds. Each additional push of the Start button adds 10 seconds to the cook time. If you need more, then the time slider control gives you that. By swiping your finger right or left you can set the time from 10 seconds to 90 minutes. Holding your finger on the + or - symbols will speed that process along by jumping larger time increments. The third button is the Stop button, which will also clear the time you entered so far, and doubles as a lockout function to keep little fingers from operating the oven. Hold for three seconds and everything is disabled, do it again to re-enable. I also like how there is no button or latch to open the door. On previous ovens the button to pop open the door would stick after a while. The oven has more controls that you can only get at with the door open. These can be really useful once you get the hang of them. I tried the Sensor Reheat to warm my cold coffee, and it alerted me when it had 30 seconds remaining. I let it go until it finished, to see what it considered as "done", and my coffee was nice and hot. Too hot for me actually, so later I tried with a second cup only going to the warning point. It was still hotter than I prefer so I'll have to go old school for coffee and use the timer. I also tried a couple of strips of turkey bacon on Sensor Cook. The way I do it probably isn't a good test for the sensors, because I put a paper towel on top of the bacon so as not to spatter all over the inside of the oven. I ended up stopping before the 30 second warning when it seemed like the popping was slowing down. At this point the bacon was close to perfect, so I'm pretty sure the sensor wasn't getting the moisture readings it needed. Is this a good oven? I'd say yes. As soon as you do anything once, you've learned it and adapted. Removing the cluttered controls was a good idea for asthetics. The one thing I would change is to be able to get 5 second setting increments instead of 10. Warming a pastry is usually not enough at 10 seconds and too much at 20. The only other thing that bothered me a little was that the "improved" lighting, that's supposed to let you see better how your food is doing but it seemed no different from our old microwave. My testing revealed that microwave has plenty of power and is easy to keep clean. 1. Cooked a 10 oz. frozen chicken pot pie in 6 min with 90% power. Crispy golden crust and evenly cooked. Issue: Package directions of 5 ½ minutes at 100% power burned crust with uneven cooking. 2. 6 slices of pre-cooked bacon, nice and crispy in 30 seconds 3. Small 4 oz. apple pie heated 10 seconds, flipped and 10 more seconds, perfect. 4. Used Sensor SR-2 to reheat Mac & Cheese. Worked well. Stopped 3 times to stir. Was starting to boil with 56 seconds left. Warning, don't walk away while reheating as you could have a mess. 5. Popcorn setting burned the popcorn. Tried 2 different brands with the same result. Read owner's manual and discovered microwave is programmed for 3.5 oz bag. Standard bags I have are 2.75 oz. 3rd try was fine, stopped microwave when popping slowed down to prevent burning of bag and popcorn. Questionable Design 1. Controls are hard to see. We have high ceilings and overhead lighting with little light directed horizontally. Slide control invisible to the eye. Start Stop buttons just visible. 2. When door is open controls are also difficult to see, would like to see buttons with back lighting. 3. Would prefer all controls on outside and not have to open the door to operate. 4. Finally I prefer buttons and knobs over touch panel. 5. All other appliances are stainless steel, black does not match.

Visually the microwave is very modern, sleek, and minimalistic. Operating is very intuitive, my 9 year old had no problem using it and the handle makes it really easy to open, especially for kids. My husband loves that you can easily add or subtract cooking time using the plus & minus touchscreen on the front. My favorite part is the sensor cooking and heating, I have heated pasta, tacos, meat loaf, and all kinds of other food and the sensor heat has not failed once, the food is always perfectly heated. The bright LED lights and pleasant tones are just icing on the cake.

It's very efficient and easy to use. While baking, I was able to quickly soften butter in under 10 seconds. Cooking baked potatoes was a swift 5 minutes.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Upon opening the microwave the for thing that struck me is how attractive looking the microwave is. The soft tones when finished cooking is was a very pleasant surprise as opposed to the harsh beeping of most microwaves. Heat and cooks very well taking less time to do so than my last microwave. I like that the buttons are hidden, makes for a sleeker looking oven. The LED lighting is bright and lets you really see your food. The 6 point wheel also lets you place a heavy item anywhere in the microwave and not have to fear of it tipping over.

This microwave has sleek, modern design. Most of the controls are hidden from view. You still have access to turning it on without opening the door. There is also a slider control to add or subtract cooking time by sliding your finger left or right across the bar. Cool idea. It's powerful for a smaller microwave although I think it's the perfect size for heating or reheating most items. The interior features LED lighting and a six wheel base under the turntable as opposed to the more traditional three wheel base. This makes the turntable quieter and more stable. The unit itself runs very quietly and has a very pleasant, almost musical tone when it's finished heating. Love it.

Revolving inside round table is supposed by 6 wheels allowing for greater weight tolerance. Programming panel is located behind the door with interval extension and on/off buttons on front door panel. Fewer finger prints. Inside dementions are 11.5 inches wide, 7.5 inches tall, and 13.5 inches deep. Antimicrobial coated inside for easy cleaning. Thawed a medium chicken with ease. This is one microwave that will look great on your kitchen counter or kitchen cart.

After the disappointment of purchasing a microwave that rusted on the interior, I am thrilled to have the LG Stainless Steel Countertop Microwave. The entire glass and metal design is sleek and elegant, easy to clean and easy to use. This appliance is compact and lighter than my previous microwave. I am happy that the magnetron comes with a ten year warranty (if you have a smart phone you can easily register it). The glass turntable configuration is different, with a six-wheeled ring underneath to improve stability, especially for heavier items. The controls are easy to program and to use, with various presets or custom settings as you desire. It did take me a little while to get used to the fact that the control panel is both behind and on the front door! Best of all, the inverter can vary power levels, which keeps you from either over or under heating your foods. I am very pleased with this appliance.

My old microwave had an interior rust issue under the round glass rotation turntable grooves. The white paint had worn off exposing the base metal which then rusted. It was not an LG. So it has to be retired before it made us sick... This unit a LG NeoChef has 6 wheels for the turntable so is much smoother when rotating. My old unit only had three wheels and made terrible noises. And piece of mind this LG NeoChef unit comes with a 10 year warranty on the Magnetron.It is the perfect size for me and the wife 0.9 cubic ft. Easy clean finish inside and out. Anti-Bacterial Coating. Looks absolutely great and the microwave works perfectly. Heat water for tea, reheat leftovers, popcorn made perfect. Bright led and push button controls make using this microwave extremely easy. Tempered Glass window so you can view what you are heating. It has also new tech. which is LG Smart Inverter that it automatically produces variable power that cooks your items more evenly as well as better defrosting. That spells no more burnt edges and ice cold centers. I love the microwave and the wife loves it even more...Great product two thumbs up with confidence. The microwave was delivered by home depot setup and I must say they delivered it on time within the window of time notified and would of set it up for me as well but I told them that was not necessary. They said and provided a phone number to call in case of any issues damages etc. There was none all delivered my expert hands. Great delivery too! Thank you again Home Depot.

LG Electronics 0.9 cu. ft. Countertop Microwave in Stainless Steel is a stylish looking appliance. It has a satin finish stainless enclosure with a smoke glass front and what they call SmoothTouch glass controls. Certain controls are integrated into the glass front and when you press or gesture on the glass it changes the microwave settings. When you open the door you have the full complement of controls behind the glass on the right side. On the glass you can start/stop the microwave or change the run time with a finger gesture. Behind the glass are all the standard microwave control options as well as the timer on the glass including the running clock. Also, an independent kitchen timer can be used to time any cooking non-microwave task as well as a child lock mechanism so the microwave doesn't start up accidentally. The exterior is about 14 1/2-inches deep, 11 3/4-high and 18 3/4-inches wide. This size will fit nicely in the space under a kitchen cabinet and adds a modern touch to its placement. When using the microwave I really liked the bright interior LED light that not only lets you see what you're doing, but shows clearly food splatters that needs cleaning. Cleaning up is really easy just a damp cloth and you're done. Since the outside controls are in the glass they just wipe clean, too. I like that the exterior is easily cleaned too with the same damp cloth. As to the interior space, its about 12 1/2-inches wide by8 3/4-inch high by 13 1/4-inches wide. I had an old microwave for years and the space is slightly bigger than my old one so am a happy with the size. What I really like are the bright LED displays on the control panel, easy to check that everything is set which is a vast improvement over my older unit. My old one wasn't nearly so bright and took an effort to read whereas this at just a glance can be seen clearly. In the end the proof is in the pudding and it heated up my desserts just fine. I tried defrosting hamburger meat and reheating leftovers, no problem and about 20 percent faster than my old microwave. Everything I tried came out good, evenly heated down to the center. In defrosting the glass controls come in handy adding more time without opening the door and the interior light shows how its defrosting. Obviously, I haven't done everything, but the times I've used it was pleased. The only thing I suggest be sure the the size is the right one for your family needs. For my situation, its perfect, looks great, has the latest functionality and a delight in the kitchen.

Microwave started only partly heating food for a bit, and then just stopped heating anything altogether. When it finally stopoped heating, I tried letting it run for 15 mins to see if it would finish heating up my frozen leftovers. The sides of the microwave got hotter then my food. We have LG washer/dryer and fridge that have been pretty reliable. So, I'm really disappointed in how fast this microwave stopped heating. We replaced a 15 year microwave with a bad door that was driving my wife crazy, and I'm kinda wishing I would have just spent money fixing the door instead of spending money on a cheaply made LG microwave. What is 10 year warranty on the magnetron worth if it costs more to repair the microwave then it does to buy a new one.

The oven has mostly worked as expected. The display started losing random segments from the digits shortly after purchase. The magnetron is warranted for 10 years, but if it fails, the repair labor costs more than a new microwave.
