I read the other reviews raving about this RV outlet and wish to let others know a couple downfalls. First, the strip gage is not a reference to any important dimension. Unlike other outlets that have a wire insertion stop, this connector lets you unknowingly insert the wire too far into the connector and only be tightening againt the insulation. Its hard to tell when you have inserted the wire correctly. Second, the clamping of the wire. The wires are secured simply by the blunt end of the screw digging into the wire. For stranded wire, this crushes and breaks the strands. I used it but there are much better outlets availble. I’ve included a photo. Look at the white wire and youll see how the screw is ready to clamp the insulation.

Does what it was designed to do. In this day and age that makes it excellent. Should just be expected.

After going to about five, Home Depot, I finally found this one. They were all out at the other stores.

Works well, like the side mounted wire screws making it easy to insert wires.

Item was quality construction, worked as advertised. Using for a travel trailer power feed.

Appears to be well made. I have used Leviton products for years and have never had a problem. This outlet is somewhat shallow in the back so it doesn’t fill up the box to the point you can’t have wires in it like some do. Good product, as usual from this company.

The plug was a direct replacement for one that had overheated due to a loose connector. Went in perfectly and is holding the plug very tight,y

Took care of a corroded connection that was the problem. This works great and installed easily!
