A very nice upgrade easily installed

Before purchasing and starting the install, make sure to understand your home's 3-way switch architecture. How the wires are set up will have an impact on which wires are connected to the common and traveler terminals. Having purchased my house with the three-way switches already in place, it took a large chunk of the effort and time to figure out and verify the wiring architecture for my system, especially by opening up the other switch to verify which wires were the travelers versus the ones going to the lights. Once I verified the wiring architecture, the install probably took approximately 30-40 minutes (2 switches: Leviton rocker switches with and without dimmer), primarily to install and repack the stiff wires neatly. DON'T FORGET TO SHUT OFF THE BREAKER FOR THE SWITCH; THIS IS A FATAL SAFETY PREVENTATIVE! Once installed, the products worked well. The switch without the dimmer is an easy on/off with a solid click to ensure it is firmly in the on or off position. The switch with the dimmer worked just the same with the added benefit of a vertically sliding dimmer on the right hand side, which worked great. In addition, I received the matching switch plate coverings, which look very crisp and modern. However, my setup includes 3 switches including a variable fan switch so I couldn't install the switch plates. I have ordered the right part from Leviton so I expect it will look great when it arrives. One caveat I have with this specific model is that the gray doesn't match perfectly with my family room. It doesn't look bad but I would recommend planning out your color coordination to make sure you get the right color switch.

This is a great light switch, I love these push button ones as opposed to the flip switch, much easier to turn on and off. The directions are on the inside of the box for some reason? I don't know if they were trying to save money or paper but it was a good thing I read the outside of the box before opening it. I had just torn it open I would have been out of luck for directions. Then not only was the print very small, it also was in a light blue instead of black, so it made it really hard to read. So just be aware of this in case you're a DIY and need these instructions.Once I figured out which was for the black and which was for the white I was good to go. Screwed back in and ready to work. I knocked off a star for lack of good instructions, but the quality is 5 star!

More economical way to purchase multiple switches. Easy to install and modernize your home.

I installed this gray Leviton Decora rocker switch together with a gray “Decora plus” screw-less cover plate in my master bedroom which is painted a light gray with white trim. Installation is a breeze even for a novice, as long as you turn the breaker off before beginning. The switch has the “Quickwire” push-in feature, which is nice as long as you have 14 ga. wiring present; if not you must use the side terminal screws. My home has older metal boxes which are grounded out, so I didn’t have to attach the ground wire to the green terminal screw. I simply popped out my old switch and used the “Quickwire” terminals to attach the switch, pushed the wires back in and screwed it back into the box. Total time was less than 5 minutes. The switch color “light gray” matches the paint perfectly. The fit was perfect and finish is smooth and glossy. The positive click on the rocker feels better than some of my older Leviton rocker switches.

Leviton light switches are simply great. I put this switch in my walk in closet and it works absolutely excellent. The quality is excellent, and although there is lots of plastic, it is a nice solid plastic with uniform color throughout. The switch is labeled on the metal part which side is the top to help, although the word leviton is also on the bottom and it should be quite obvious which way out goes.

This switch was simple to install. The gray color is on trend and matches the other components (trim plates, outlets, dimmers) perfectly. It offers both push terminals and screw clamp terminals. I had it installed in under 5 minutes. The switch action is solid, yet quiet. I installed this switch to control power to a ceiling fan and it works perfectly.

I like this rocker switch. It is a nice color, installed in a few minutes to replace an old toggle switch that was beginning to spark when activated or when wiggled. The only complaint I would have is it’s not as smooth as some others I have installed. It has a slight click when activated. Wiring connections make it very easy to install even though they don’t seem much different than others. I especially like the faceplate that doesn’t require screws. Much cleaner look.

These switches make my house look modernized.

The second switch on this wall controls the light in the pantry and it is a three way switch, installation was a breeze with a dimmable switch on the left and a regular on off switch on the right. every thing that was needed came in the packages so all the hardware ends up being new and the spacing comes out so that the screw less cover plate fits properly. Only took about an hour to remove the old hardware and pop on the new switches. Can be done by anyone.

Not only am I annoyed by the logo on the switch but I can’t properly clean the raised logo. Leviton: are you promoting your product or guaranteeing future sales when the switch becomes so disgusting I’m forced to replace it? I have children. These switches won’t last long. I’m now searching for rocker switches without a company logo. Wanted a clean look that I can disinfect. Threw away my receipt before I realized the logo was on the switches.

Why is leviton stamped on switch? Returning. Bought for clean look. Name ruins that. Who's the fool at Leviton that thought Customers want to see product name on the switch (bottom left). Looks dumb day 1, will look worse over time as residue gathers in the lettering.

From the pictures and descripton you would think these were basic plain white switches. Unfortunately they now have a raised leviton logo across the bottom of the actual switch, clearly visible, that the pictures do not show. Who would want this? False advertising.

I love the Leviton switches and the flexibility to buy complex to simple switches and programs. This is a simple switch, easy to replace, and now all the switches in my house not only match, but are running more efficiently. I feel safe in my home and am pleased with the asthetics

Good product & quality, nice look, and low priced.

I like the gray color of this switch and the cover plates matches. The installation was super easy, took like 5 minutes. It actually took me longer to remove the old one, but installing this one it only required to put the two cables through the little holes. The description says quiet switch but I didn't notice any difference in the sound it makes compared to my other Decora light switches I have in the house (the old white standard I installed years ago).

This review is on the Levitron 15 amp wall switch. I love these switches. They are so easy to install and their streamline design really sets them apart. When carrying a bunch of stuff and you don't have any free hands its a nice to just be able to press on it with an elbow and the lights go on. And as far as cleaning goes - it's the easiest thing to clean because it's a flat surface. The old-style switches are much more difficult to clean. The only con if you care is that they are not completely quiet. They make a slight click sound.

I like that these have such a nice sleek design and stay perfectly clean. Plus these are so much easier to just hit the switch when coming into a room with hands full of bags. . If your like me and deterred from paying someone to install, but a little unsure- you can find a video made by Leviton about installation on home depots page, it helped me to be more confident that I was doing it the best way. For a only a couple of dollars a room , its such a easy update

They look nice and make it very easy to switch on a light in a dark closet, laundry room, and bath or anywhere in the house. We don’t have to feel around for the switch any longer. Installation is easy, if you have ever installed a light switch before. Just be sure to test the old switch for power before you try to remove it. If you know how to turn the circuit breaker off and then test the old switch (either watch the light go out when you switch the breaker off or use an electrical tester), you can easily install this. If you install one on a wall with tile, the cover screw holes may not go all the way in because of the tile, as the screws are not in the same position as normal switches. Take a small drill and carefully drill into the tile so that the screw will go all the way in. If you are installing on drywall, the screw will make its own way into the drywall. If you buy one of these, I hope you are as happy as with them as we are.

I am replacing all of the original builder switches in my house due to a manufacturing defect. I have chosen the Leviton Decora switches for our formal areas as they look great and are easy for my kids and aged parents to use. They install easily and are solidly built.

I installed these in beteen a chineses made 3 way switch and 2 of leviton's double switches in a four gang screwless plate. Unfotunately the frame of this is shorter producing a wider noticable gap. Ive attached a photo of the plate upside down to show the gap on the 3rd switch from the left. In addition the thread for the plate screw are raised while other manufacturers are not. This means theres more gap between the wall and the plate for this switch compared to the other switches, even leviton's own double switch. This also means that the switch frame will not sit flush with the plate but rather lower, giving it a sunken look.

It is a good product, at a good price. I like the paddle style switch and I know from past experience that they are reliable. As part of a partial smart home update project, I am replacing selected switches with Z-Wave paddle switches. All of the original switches in my house were toggle style. So whenever one of the selected replacement switches is in a multi-gang box, I have to replace the rest of the switches in the box. Because of the reasonable price of these switches I chose to change from the toggle style. A few years ago the paddle style switch was not affordable. .

I bought this about 2-3 years ago when my wife and I remodeled a half bath and she loved we could do brown switches for little money. Function wise it has been very reliable. But last fall we noticed it broke in the middle of the switch which is rare for Leviton. Most likely a fluke but i'm going to buy another and see.

Sleek design for an updated look. Easy to install.

Great Product! I have no less than a dozen of these in various places. Most have been in use for at least 5 years with no issues. Decided to upgrade to the commercial one, however back to the store it went. Home Depot returned it with no problems. Someone had attempted to use the commercial one, stripped the screws and return the product. UGH! Anyways, got a couple more residential ones at about 1/3 the cost. Probably will stay with residential since never had an issue. This is a highly recommended product!

In order to install my LED Wagon Wheel Chandelier from Ponderosa Ranch Outfitters, I needed to replace my old switches with new ones that were LED compatible. The Leviton Decora from Home Depot was the perfect solution.

The switch was easy to install, it looks and works great.
