This is very loud and the splash guard is too tight. I have to open it with my hand for water to drain and especially to push food scraps in to the disposal. It works but I wish I didn’t choose this one due to the noise and the nuisance of the splash guard. Now that it’s installed I guess I’m stuck with it until the end of its life. :(

I ordered this disposal online.I was disappointed with the sound reduction feature, it is not quieter. It makes a clunk sound when it comes on. The disposal was installed January 19, 24.

This model is LOUD!!
Super disappointed. I installed the Moen Host 3/4 HP for as part of a remodel and it's way too loud. Other reviews say it's quiet, so maybe I just got a bad one because there's no way you could hear this and say it's anything but LOUD. I've purchased Moen faucets before and had good luck with them, but this is the first time I bought one of their disposals. And I've purchased plenty of other disposals over the years, and this one is the loudest by a huge margin. Turn it on & brace for the NOISE!

VERY LOUD-NO SOUND REDUCTION
This unit is very loud so I am VERY disappointed since its a MOEN. I have always liked their products and spent the extra money for them... but not this product... it is sooo loud! There wasn't a plugin outlet under the sink so my husband had to remove the plug and do a hardwire connection. Just installed it today. It took about 1 1/2 hours to install. If I could return it, I would! If you want a quiet disposal, don't buy this. In the short time that I've used it, it seems to grind well

so much quieter than I thought
Much lighter in weight and quieter than the disposal it replaced. Easy to install and with how light it was it didn’t hurt when I accidentally dropped it on myself when I was laying under the sink to install it when my hands slipped.

Should have stayed with Insinkerator
moen host series 3/4 is louder and does not perform as well as the old Insinkerator Badger 5 1/2hp unit it replaced. I'm a fan of moen products but should have stayed with an upgraded Insinkerator unit. Lesson learned, will probably trash the moen unit in 6 months....install was super easy, 20 mins total start to finish using existing drain/mount connections.

I only have the old disposal to compare it to. I have never swapped a disposal before. Whole job took about 30 min give or take. The unit is not as noisy and def has much more power. So far which has only been a week or so the disposal has performed well.

My previous disposal broke so I bought the MOEN 3/4-HP. I was disappointed because when the plumber opened the box he noticed that the box was retaped (I bought it like that and did not open it). Unfortunately, he said that the stopper was missing!! It doesn't affect us using the disposal, however it was disappointing that an item was missing from the box.

The disposer works great. It was easy to install because I was replacing an old Insinkerator and I re-used the existing drain collar. Also, the plumbing fittings lined up perfectly. Best part what the the power cable was included and hard-wired. (Insinkerator requires you to buy a power cost for an additional $16.
It's not quiet like high-end Insinkerator units I have installed in previous houses. It's not horrible because you only need to run it for a few seconds. But people who describe this in reviews as "quiet" must have had really horrible disposers previously.
