I just replaced my 15 year old garbage disposal, which was huge and heavy! My new MOEN disposal was more powerful than my old one, light weight and easy to install! I'm a single female and I was able to do the removal and installation by myself! So far the disposal works great, and no leaks! Thanks MOEN!

Universal Mount is a lie
Trying to mount this "universal" 3 bolt mount under a sink 7/16" thick. According to the installation guide provided it an accommodate sink thicknesses up tp 1/2". There isn't room on the flange for all the parts and the snap ring. I tried for over 45 minutes trying to get this ring to snap in place. Even without using putty AND the little fiber gasket, this mount does not fit. Appliances for my kitchen remodel are arriving tomorrow, so I had to overnight deeper sink flange. Disappointing.

It took 4 hrs to the plumber to install i yesterday. It is small, narrow and very noisy. I wish I stuck with badger. I wonder how long it will last i decided to change the brand name because it is the 2 nd badger 500 than leaked from the bottom after 3 years.

It was easy to install and it works perfectly. I did have to take off the electrical plate on the bottom and cut the wires to hard wire the unit.

Easy to install
This Moen disposal was easy to install and I liked that it has a 1/2 hp motor with a pre-installed cord. The only thing I don't like is the center opening of the rubber splash guard is too small. It's difficult for food items to be forced through the small opening even with the full force of the water faucet. Fortunately, since it is easily accessible from the sink I was able to remove it and cut the opening to make it larger.
