This is a replacement for a handle that no longer works. It was easy to replace; only tool required was a screwdriver. It was not necessary to shut off the water supply. Easy-Peasy!

Direct replacement for broken knob easy to install, looks and works great

During our main bathroom renovation, the old plumbing stuff was pitched, so needed to buy new Moen parts. HomeDepot had everything that was needed on their website. Easy installation.

Like me you're likely replacing this because your teenager also over-twisted it while turning it off, causing the shaft to fracture. This is a very common knob with an equally common problem. The shaft is only plastic and it is NOT reinforced by a metal O-ring or washer of any kind. The same holds true for the Moen #100710 replacement. If you're not very careful during install, it is even possible to break it while installing it. The washer which comes with it was not thick enough to prevent over-tightening the knob during my install which definitely warranted the addition of at least one more washer to insure that the knob was tightened enough to prevent breaking again or making contact other areas of the install location. Price at tie of my purchase was $12.97 - more than twice the cost of a 100% IDENTICAL ITEM (#94514 @ $6.14) by the same company-but deemed an "online only" item. I recommend purchasing the 94514 instead to save the extra dinero if time and need permit.

The old one was many twenty years old, new one fits well.

The handle was simple to install. No leaks and now the water doesn’t start off scalding because of a broken handle. Makes the bathtub look shiny again.

I have lived in my home for just about 8 years. Was brand new build when I moved in. These crystal handles are just crap. The faucets had to be replaced within two years and I am no trying to replace the shower handle (not a tub/shower) and it is as though it doesn't exist! There's no part number on the broken one and no way to cross-reference to something to replace it if it is discontinued. I just don't recommend Moen at all and I have been in construction for 28 years. Never found anything about their stuff that wasn't worth replacing with something else.

Home Depot Staff member guided to the correct item and it fit and works perfectly. It is exactly the same as original one.

I made online purchase I wait almost an hour and no one came outand brought me my curbside pickup order and what it worsted i call the McDonough store just to be but on hold dor another thirty minutes everyone need to be fired customer service is trash
