Very light ,small and strong suction.I highly recommend this vacuum

We have very little carpet in our home, because we have two large dogs and a cat and there hair can be an issue. It was always a pain to drag a cord around the house with a vacuum. The bigger machines exhaust would blow there hair around the room, but this Makita works like a CHAMP! and since we have been using it we have discovered other uses (blinds, door & wall trim boards etc.) I was a little concerned about the battery life and the power of performance due to the extension arm, but Makita delivered. Thanks to all for providing and delivering a great product that solve a big problem for us!!!

I love my 18 Volt Compact lithium-ion Makita cordless vacuum, it's very light, handy, pretty powerful on hard floor and floor mats. Once I have vacuumed my condo and it seems the battery starts getting low, I set it to rest and next day it seems like it regain some power back and I can vacuum some more. The battery recharges very quick. I don't need to leave the vacuum close to the power wall outlet in order to recharge it like some others vacuums, instead I can put it right in the store room closet and the charger can sit anywhere on a little place or counter plugged in. The inconvenience is: the extension too short, I wish they would make it a little longer, the filter needs to be clean often because is small and the battery could be the 3Ah instead of 1.5.

I love this vaccuum. This vaccuum has super powerful suction and lasts long enough to clean the floors in 4 rooms...and when it goes, no matter because the battery charges in just 15 minutes-luv that! I can't believe how much dirt this little lightweight awesome vaccuum picks up. I tested vacuuming every single day for two weeks and I couldn't believe how much debris it picked up each time. I didn't even think there was anything on the floor to pick up, but boy this thing is amazing. This vaccuum is really a good size for me because I'm only 5'3", but I imagine a tall person may want another handle attachment to make vaccuum a tad bit longer. It's also such a great size since space is an issue when you live on a boat!! Although, I do have a few wishes about design. I wish that the easy twist on and off of the canister to remove to clean should have a better locking because sometimes I go to take the attachment out and accidentally open the canister. Now, another improvement would be if Mikata would make and include a brush bristle, since the attachment pipe is not the standard size of other vaccuums, I can't substitute and haven't yet found one to be able to use with it. I recommend getting a backup cloth filter since it looks like it will need to be replaced at some point. All other parts are easy to clean. I do wish it came with a holder so I could store it on a wall...it's so lightweight! I've only had this for a few months and it looks like this vaccuum will be lasting me for many years.

My dream vacuum! Was looking for a vacuum that could handle very long human hairs because normal vacuums, the hairs get tangled on a rollers and have a burning smell. But this vacuum easily picks up all the hairs. It's easy to clean. Using for weeks and no issues so far. Highly recommend.

This is a large version of a dustbuster. Not great on high pile carpets but works on hardwood or smooth flooring.

Easy enough for a nine-year-old to assemble and use on a regular basis

Love everything about it with the exception of having to hold down the on button while I'm vacuuming. But the best part is this wasn't made in CHINA!

I had to buy one for my mother in law because she loved it so much.

I saw this being used at the airlines. I knew they would not have these if it was not sturdy. I am very glad I build this for my daily cleaning needs. It is light and easy so I do not procrastinate on cleaning.

I love the pick up and ease of maneuvering however I do not like the fact that I have to keep my finger on the start all the time.

So lightweight. Does a great job as a stick vacuum or as a handheld. We use ours daily.

It is so good,I can’t believe it!

The Makita has good suction but I find it short in length . I am 6ft tall and feel it should come with a extension tube I called the cust Svc and they wanted $16 with shipping. I als think this unit is overpriced

The only vacuum I've ever owned (without a really, really long hose) that can easily reach under beds, benches, and other pieces of furniture with a low clearance. Also does a great job picking up various types of typical floor debris. Easy to empty, easy to clean.

Powerful Suction, great battery life. We owned the previous generation for years and used it constantly. We still have it- battery just finally degraded after so much heavy use. This new one is even better- higher quality battery. Owned numerous handhelds over the years and nothing comes close. Highly recommended!

This stick was too short in my Opinion

I am astounded by the number of 5 star reviews for what is ultimately a $30 handheld vacuum with a piece of cheap PVC attached to the nozzle. It has no powered head, weighs about a pound without battery, and has an old school mesh collection filter that starts clogging the moment it starts working. It will not work on carpet, is not built to last, and technologically is a 15 year trip into the ancient past. At this price point, I would prefer my 10 yo Hoover Linx or any comparable modern cordless vacuum even if it lacks the interchangeability of the Makita battery. Don’t wast your money and ignore the fandom unless you are deep in Makita ecosphere and can get this for 20 bucks or less without the battery….
