I was concerned the 55” rail would be damaged in the shipping process, but I received in the rail from Home Depot HD) without damage. When I arrived home from HD, I placed the rail on a piece of pine 1” x 4” and setup the rail and Makita 40 volt plunge saw as provided in the instruction manual. A small portion of the rail rubber edge was cut away in the process of the first cut. Examinning the cut revealed a very smooth and an accurate cut. I am very happy with both the 55” Makita rail and the Makita 6-1/2” 40 Volt plunge saw. This combination make for the smoothest and most accurate cuts I have ever seen. Far superior to the Craftsman table saw I use to have.

These are fantastic. Work great. Couple of suggestions, buy the TSO GSR-16 Guide Rail Square for perfect square 90°cuts and simple set up, and the GRC-12 Self aligning connecting rods if you want to connect two 55" rails to make a 110" rail. Much better quality and easier to set up than the Makita connectors. May cost a few more $$ but well worth it. Trying to find and get shipped the Makita 118" Guide Rail is like pulling teeth and if you find one you pay $$$$ for it plus crazy shipping.

This worked perfectly with the Makita SP600J plunge saw. I've used many other saws, but never a track saw and it made a couple perfect cuts off the ends of TimberTech decking. Snapped a couple 15' chalks lines and carefully moved the track along chalk line and done. Much easier than trying to cut boards to exact length.

Easy to use accurate works perfect with the saw and basically is the exact same as the fesstool track

I am a convert to a track system for breaking down large panel.
