love it but it has an issue
I bought this house last year and I love it. I get no leak at the faucet connection and the storage rack is terrific. however, when I started using it this spring I found that the pre connected sprayer has sprung a leak and I get soaking wet every time I use it. unfortunately, the design I have does not allow for an exchange of sprayer

I've had the hose about a year now for washing the cars and it's been fine. However this week it developed a kink near one end which causes the water to shut off every I time I move the hose even slightly. This makes using the hose inefficient and frustrating. I'm expecting that the kink will turn into to a tear very soon.

This product arrived in perfect shape and served its purpose during the summer months. However, as soon as the weather got a bit colder (upper 30s-40s, not freezing) I noticed the water started spraying from the house spout (not doing 100% into the hose via its attachment). Upon closer examination, it turned out that the hose's metal attachment cracked around its circumference, allowing water to escape through it. This was surprising given that the temperature wasn't that low. I will be buying a different hose next time.

These are light duty hose’s designed for patio/deck use. Any pressurized hose left out in the direct sunlight can expand by 50% of its original diameter. This is due to the water and material heating up and the pressure causing the hose to expand. The hose will most likely burst closest to the coupling because the metal restricts the expansion of the hose at that point. In order to get optimal life and performance from your coil hose always’ s turn off the water, release the pressure and store the hose in the shade. These Coil hose's have a two year warranty so we will replace them

          Great Product
This Coiled Garden hose came with a U shaped hose hanger, it is a heavier metal tube and looks much stronger than the older style wire hanger. I found it difficult to remove all of the hose from the U shaped hanger leaving a few feet of hose on the hanger near the water spigot. I used a quick connect water hose coupling to remove the hose from the hanger and then connect the hose. This will give you the ability to use the entire length of hose if needed. The hose stretched to 40 feet with no strain and will stretch to 50 feet with a little more effort. I am very pleased with the functionality and look of this hose. This will make watering the flower beds much easier than using my large heavy rubber hose.

          Better coil hose
I needed a hose to spray off patio, water plants, etc. I am not usually a fan of the "coil" hoses but I thought I would give this a try because in theory I thought this would work. I am pleasantly surprised. First of all, this is not some wimpy little hose. The hose is actually fairly meaty. I did not have kink problems as I have seen with other coil hoses. The hose is softer than normal coil hoses and works great. My only negative is the connections are pressed on and do not appear to be very robust, but we'll see how it holds up. Works good so far. It comes with a mounting bracket that I did not use because I did not want to drill into the stucco on my house but looks like it would work good.

1/2 in. x 50 ft. Coil Water Hose
I received 1/2 in. x 50 ft. green coil water garden hose, everything looked good from shipping. I like that it has a heavy duty strong U-shaped rack with the coil water garden hose. Installed the U-shaped rack outside by side of my house near the faucet.. The coil water garden hose was light , not heavy like other not coiled water garden hoses. And the coil water garden went back to it's original to the to the faucet area very easy after the use. no messy to leave garden hoses on the ground. no trip over the loose garden hose on the ground.

          Compact hose design
This coil water hose is best for smaller jobs like watering containers or bathing the dog. I had no trouble installing the hanging rack, although it is unclear to me why there is a screw provided for the middle of the rack as it is not securing anything in that position. Nevertheless, the hose is nice and light and the pressure is strong enough, even going through my regular hose to get the job done. This hose has metal fittings which should be sturdy. Apparently, you should not run hot water through the hose and it is not lead free. If you return the hose to its coiled storage position every time it is used it should retain that shape. Be careful not to stretch it to the full length to avoid kinks and misshapen coils.

          Good Storage Idea
This hose & coil is a good buy for those who are storage minded. The coiled hose didn't work as well as I thought it would mounting it to the house, simply because of my concern stretching it across the yard repeatedly would wear it out. Instead, I mounted it to a 50 gallon water tank I have to use watering the trees out across our driveway. Using my water tank, I save our other hoses from constantly being ran over from driveway traffic. Simply fill it at the house, park it next to the tree, crack the line and let it trickle water. I did have to glue the little black caps in, but nothing that isn't a major defect.

          Coiled garden hose
The hose is a made of good quality material. The couplings are made of metal not plastic as some less expensive hoses. The water volume is much less than a regular ½ inch hose because of the coiled design. However, I do like the coiled feature as far as storing it, but it's a nuisance as it's always trying to pull back on you. If you set this hose down it'll pull back to the faucet like a spring. The other problem I found is that the hose gets tangle easily in the bushes. The hose comes with a heavy metal bar shaped in a "U" with a bracket. It is extremely sturdy and I like it better than the wire basket shown in the product literature. When installed next to your faucet it is the same low profile and you can rest the spray nozzle on the top. When you are done watering, you can easily drop the hose onto the "U" and slide it down so it is nicely contained. The hose uncoils without kinking on the furthest pull and returns to its coil shape when we are finished. However, don't expect it to stretch out to 50 feet (even though it's a 50 feet hose); the coil concept has its limitation. This is a good water hose for small space or limited backyard.

Nice quality hose, Love the new holder, 95% of the time
The hose is a very good quality, thick but not a super heavy material. So dragging the hose around the garden to water your plants, you will not get fatigued fighting with it. The hose holder is different than what is pictured on homedepot.com (see pics). It is a heavy metal bar shaped in "U" with a bracket. It is extremely sturdy and I like the look so much better than the wire basket. When installed next to your faucet it is the same low profile and you can rest the spray nozzle on the top. When you are done watering, you can easily drop the hose onto the "U" and slide it down so it is nicely contained. I have had this type of hose with the basket and this is cleaner, more modern looking, and it may not rust like the baskets. So when is the time I don't like the new holder? Because I can be kinda lazy/in a rush at times. Lets say you want to water plants 25ft away, so you don't want to take the entire hose out, so you take, what you think, is plenty of hose to reach the plants 25ft away. You get 3 feet away from your plants and you can't reach them. If the hose was in a basket, you could just flick the hose and it would pop out of the basket. Not the case with this hose holder, you have to go all the way back take out more hose. I know minor, but when you forgot to water your plants and late for an appt it is a little aggravating.

          Good and bad
This is perfect for some but not everyone. For me it's a little too small. The water volume is much less because of the size of the hose and I like the coiled feature as far as storing it, but it's a major pain as far as it's always trying to pull back on you. You can't just set this hose down to do something else because it'll pull back to the faucet like a spring. Would be great for boats and a RV or small yard.

          Great coiled hose and mount
1/2 in. x 50 ft. Coil Water Hose This is a very clever setup. As you can see from the pictures its a coiled garden hose with a mount. The mount is just a u-shaped piece of sturdy steel that the coils slips over. This is so clean and easy to use as shown in the picture. The hose is 50ft long so this is a great length. I use it in my hot tub room to fill and clean the tub and water the surrounding plants. I like this product.

          Self coiling water hose
I have found in using this self coiling water hose, it is best for watering my garden and smaller task watering. When it comes to needing a sturdy hose to connect to sprinklers traditional hoses work best. My only complaint with hose, is the mounting bracket that is included. The bracket is fixed in one position so if your outdoor wall space will not accommodate this setup (mine won't) then the bracket is useless. It would have been really useful if the bracket rotated from side to side - oh well. I use it without and it works just fine, but it would be nice to have it neatly stored on the wall.

          Great Hose
I have put on 3 pictures of the hose, to show packaging and set-up ! You will have to rotate pix as I had to rotate to get them to download, sorry ! I was suprised at how well it came packaged and that it came WITH a mounting bracket ! No mounting hardware included however. I mounted it on a 2"x8"x4' piece of P/T Lumber with 1/4" Stainless Steel lag screws. It is a handy addition at our big fire pit as you can uncoil just the amount you need while doing your burns. And then you just put it back on it's hanger. Nice set-up !!!!!

WORKS GREAT IF INSTALLED JUST RIGHT
The coil is tight and easy to use as long as you keep it straight. If you flip it around it twists up on itself and will take some time and effort to get to re-coil correctly. Reminiscent of the old long phone cords that liked to get tangled up. The bracket is useless, way too difficult to use in practical application so I just let it hang down from the faucet and prop up the wand. If adding a wand as I did great care must be taken to ensure it is seated where the wand can be used without stressing the hand. There's no straight run out at the end of the hose to allow for easy maneuvering, they really missed the ball on that one. If you don't have it attached in just the right place the wind of the hose will pull the hose out of your hand and strain your wrist when using it.

          Good water for small space
This is a good water hose for small space or limited backyard. The coil concept works wonderful. It can stretch out 30 feet long and re- coil back into about 2 feet package. It also comes with a rack mount to store the hose after retrack. The hose is about 1/2", 50 feet long, so it is a light weight for the patio. However, don't expect it to stretch out to 50 feet (even though it's a 50 feet hose); the coil concept has its limitation. Sometimes you felel like you in a tug-of- war with the hose. This only happens when you really stretch it out. Overall, the coil hose is useful and convenient in small space.

A convenient water hose for our patio
We have a fairly large patio with several potted plants that get regular watering. A standard hose a bit much for the 15 - 20 feet of travel around the patio and the shrink hoses haven't proven to be good for more than a couple months. This coil host is perfect. The hose uncoils without kinking on the furthest pull and returns to its coil shape when we are finished. I like how it stores neatly out of the way when not in use. We didn't need or use the wire hose holder. We have some rectangle pots that the coil hose sets neatly behind. So far the hose has held up well - no signs of breaking down from the sun exposure like our other hoses have done. Time will tell though.

          Nice Water Hose
This is a nice 50ft coil water hose. I've always been hesitant about a coil hose, but I'm glad that I have this one! Product quickly arrived and was easily installed to outdoor spigot. I didn't even realize that this hose come with the storage rack, which is a nice feature. However, it doesn't really seem like you can keep the hose attached to spigot and stored on the rack at the same time...which is a little disappointing. The hose came with screws and anchors for quick installation and also came with a washer for the hose. I haven't noticed any leaks yet. I like this hose for the front of the house so I can easily wash the car and then quickly put up the hose without it being in the way.

          Better for small area's
A decent hose, but a few things that bother me. #1 the screws provided are way to small, they should provide much larger screws with wide style head. #2 the hose has to be loaded into the holder so that the connecting end to the spigot comes out of the top, which makes no sense to me unless you can mount this below your spigot. Otherwise the hose almost crimps when mounted beside the spigot. #3 it's constantly pulling against you when you stretch it beyond 25 feet. My overall impression is that this hose, since it is lightweight and coiled, would be great for a small garden where you don't want a big heavy hose dragging all over and through your plants and flowers, but for general use in a larger front yard I probably wouldn't recommend it.

          Very Sturdy
The 50 ft. coil water hose is very sturdy and works well. It can reach plants at all corners of the yard and quickly goes back into a coil when released. It also comes with a rack for storage and screws for mounting so it can be stored easily and completely out of the way. I mounted the storage rack under a window and attached my own nozzle to the hose. It's great to have it off the ground!. It also comes with a plastic washer.

          Severely Restricted Flow
When I ordered this hose I thought it was a least 1/2" inside diameter. But once I reread the label it only lists the length. With hose ends of only 1/4" inside diameter at the fittings it creates a hose that is seriously restricted. A standard 1/2" x 50' hose will flow 5 gallons in 47 seconds on the hose bib at the shop, this hose takes 1 minutes 53 seconds. Maybe this doesn't create a problem when watering small items but it does when you want or need more flow and pressure, like washing a car. I like the hoses design in regards to the coiling and the material remains flexible well below freezing. It even will recoil itself at freezing temperatures. The included hose storage rack works well and keeps the hose up and out of the way when not in use. The best way to get it back into the rack seems to be by leaving the water on until its in the rack, then turn the water off and drain the pressure. Overall this is an okay hose for light watering but has limited use when volume is needed.

Self Rewind - Great Concept - easy storage!
This is a half inch diameter hose, a bit smaller than the standard 5/8 inch hose, but it still delivers plenty of pressure and volume of water. It is a coiled hose, rated to extend to 50 feet, and while you would really have to stretch it to reach that length, I had no problem getting 40 plus feet with moderate effort. It comes with a hose caddy that can be hung to store the hose, along with mounting hardware (which I would recommend using more heavy duty gear if wall mounting) and one washer. I don’t intend to use the caddy, as I prefer to just leave it next to the hose reel. It self-rewinds, and leaves a very small footprint when not in use. I’ve attached mine to a hose caddy that has another 50 feet of hose. I use it to water flowers and plants in my back yard, and now with this hose, that task is a lot easier. Before I would just coil up or leave the hose laying in the yard, now it goes back to its compact shape and stores out of the way in my mulch bed. Much easier for mowing, and looks much better than having hose laying around. If I need extra length, I just extend the hose that’s in the caddy. This is a very nice product for backyard use, or if you are too lazy like me too real in the hose from your caddy after each use. A very nice addition and economical. I plan on buying another for my “car wash” station.

A couple of issues, but overall a good product
I got this hose because i was tired of having long loops of thicker, heavier hose in either unsightly piles near the spigot, or draped for dozens of meters from my driveway to the garden beds. The lighter weight and promised retractability of this product seemed like a good solution. And, with a couple of reservations, that's been the case so far. It certainly stores compactly (see the picture), although it did take a couple of minutes to coax it back something resembling the neat arrangement it had before I unpacked it. And speaking of the hanging rack: the screws that comes with it is insufficient to the task. They're too small, especially at the head (there's not enough to prevent the rack from pulling away from the house when pulling the hose free). While this was a simple fix for someone like myself who had an assortment of hardware (including washers) at hand, it's worth noting that this is something anyone buying this product is likely going to have to swap out. My other reservation is about the "50 FT." description. I'm a big strong guy, and by the time i was about 35' from the spigot it was pulling back pretty firmly. I'm sure if I had taken the time to "uncorkscrew" the hose as I went I might have gotten something closer to 50' from it, but 35-40' is closer to reality. Which is unfortunate, because if it really did stretch 50' it would reach my front yard. If I were to purchase another one, I would look for something in a 75' length, which would still be compact but also reach the full length of my house. Other than those reservations, it seems like a good hose. Only time will tell how it stands up to being outdoors all the time (in the good weather) and if it retains its springiness after being extended and recoiled dozens of times.

          Stores and uncoils easily
The hose comes with its own storage hanger which makes putting it away out of sight easy. The hanger was easy for me to install b/c I hung it on wood in our shed. It came with screws and plastic anchors. If you hang it on a masonry wall you'll need a masonry bit and I don't know if those plastic anchors will work so well in masonry. It comes with one rubber washer. You'll need 2-one for the faucet end and one for attaching a nozzle. The nice thing about this hose for me-as you can see from the pics-is that it stores neatly and compactly, especially compared to my previous 50' hose. It uncoils easily but be careful not to overstretch it. If you do-as we did when first using it-the hose will kink as it re-coils itself. We have a very small front yard so the length of this hose is perfect for us. We have plants to water and a sidewalk to hose off occasionally. Stretching it to reach the car-shown in one of the pics-was a bit of a chore.

It went onto the spigot very easily and screwed on tightly. Unfortunately, it leaks... "sprays" would be a better word... out of the spigot end.

          Better Quality
I have purchased 3 or 4 coil hoses from Target and all of them developed little pinhole leaks. This one seems much more durable. I've had it a few months and the connectors and the thickness of the hose are much more substantial. So far so good!

Difficult to return to hose holder.
Not as convenient as a softer expandable pocket hose type. But the hose and ends are of better quality. Very difficult to get back in the hose holder provided. So depending on what you are looking for it is more compact than traditional hoses.
