Keeps you warm but need to change batteries too often.
I purchased the medium size and it fits slightly tighter than the picture shows (I’m 6’ with a 43” chest and 34” arms). I typically wear a large except for carhartt brand which I wear a medium. As I said in the title, it keeps you warm across the chest and back but it does run through the batteries. The 1.5ah battery lasts a bit over an hour on high and a 3.0ah lasts about 2ish hours on high. The temp outside was in the upper 30s to low 40s and no wind. If the batteries lasted longer it would have been 5 stars.

Home Depots fault, not Milwaukee.
Bought as an XL, "new" in store. Although sealed, it was immediately apparent that it was a repackaged store return, filthy, covered in dog hair, food stains, other white stains/paint, a penny in the pocket, AND wrong size! Looks like someone bought another and swapped their ill fitting, and nasty used large hoodie. Manager didn't seem to care either. HD in South Portland Maine.

    Feeling misinformed
The Hoodie is everything I had hoped for. It is heavier than I expected, but comfortable. My issue is that the battery holder in the picture states it can charge the battery via power cable or USB. Unfortunately the device that comes with the Hoodie was without this option. It will cost another $60 to get this convenience.

My wife has and loves her women's Milwaukee Heated Jacket. Now I have a Milwaukee Heated Hoodie and I love it, too! The outer surface is soft and will shed light rain, but it is not waterproof. The internal thermal weave lining really keeps the heat in! The heating elements are front and rear and I found that when sitting in a full back seat that my back can get too hot. You can barely feel the wires between the inner and outer fabric. The battery is not heavy but it is noticeably there when sitting. There are no heating wires in the hoodie part of the garment.

      Not happy
Received hoodie on the 26th of November, on the 23rd of December I noticed a small hole forming in the front of the hoodie. Not very well constructed for a $160 price tag if you ask me.

This hoodie is great, I highly recommend it. The fit is perfect, it has nice tight collars around your wrist so air won’t be blowing up your arms. The heated part of this hoodie is nice when you want to take the chill off, I have had it on hot for up to 4.5hrs with a CP1.5 battery pack. Cant go wrong with this Milwaukee hoodie, very durable, warm and comfortable. I plan on buying the jacket next to layer it with the hoodie in the winter.

First off, this is no cheap made hoodie. It’s very well made one the outside and the inner liner. It’s made to hold up and last. I love the look and the feel. The cuffs and waist fit closely, keeping in heat and staying out of the way while working. The hood fits the same way. It’ll keep in the heat, but stay out of the way of you vision too. These pockets are going to hold up longer too. The edges are reinforced and the insides aren’t some thin, flimsy material. This thing wasn’t just thrown together. A lot of thought was put into it. I like the “Waffle Weave Thermal Lining”, you can just see that it’s better and will last longer too. It’s thicker and more insulated than any I’ve used before. Now for the heating. There is a zippered pocket in the rear that contains the power cord. Once you place your M12 battery into the holder, you’ll be able to plug the hoodie into it and you’ve got heat. Simply press down on the M12 logo on the front, you can hear it click and when the logo lights up, it’s on. From there you can choose three different settings or turn it off. The logo lights up with three different colors, according to the level of heat you have. Red for the highest setting, the white, then blue. You have up to six hours of warmth, according to the level and the battery you choose. The hoodie works best when it’s closer to your skin. I use one of the WORKSKIN shirts underneath the hoodie. The more clothing you have on between you and the hoodie, the less you’ll feel the heat. Don’t insulate yourself from the heat. It’s nice to be able to move again and not have to have seven layers on. Cleaning the hoodie is easy. Remove the battery and its holder. Tuck the power cord back into the pocket completely and close. Set your washer on gentle with warm water. DO NOT DRY CLEAN. DO NOT BLEACH. DO NOT TWIST OR WRING. Tumble dry on LOW heat. DO NOT IRON. You gotta work, so why not be comfortable. We all know Milwaukee makes great tools and their clothing is great too. The other thing about their clothing is that it looks good after work too, like at sporting events, outdoor events and on that motorcycle. It’s some of the best made, most comfortable clothing out there.

This heated hoodie jacket from Milwaukee is one of the most comfortable jackets I have ever worn. Even though it has electric battery operated heaters built in, it is extremely warm, comfortable, and light weight. The battery pack is easy to reach and stores in a very clever pouch behind me to avoid damaging it or bothering me. The zipper design is thick and heavy duty. The zipper lanyard makes it easy to zip or unzip with gloves. I own the blue colored one and it looks great in my opinion. The cuffs are probably my favorite part. They are snug and wide to keep the jacket away from the work I am doing. Also lets me don safety gloves with ease and the cuff tuck underneath them nicely. The snug design feature gives me the added security that it will not get caught on rotating machinery. The convenient on and off button lets me turn it on and off easily to manage the electric heaters for maximum comfort heating conditions and battery consumption. The inner liner while it is not removable it is just thick enough to keep we warm without the electric heaters on average cool days. This is one jacket I recommend for all Techs in the field to own. Another Milwaukee winner!

Gotta love Milwaukee gear. Even better when you already own the battery platform. This navy blue hoodie is well suited for any cold weather activity. It heats up fast and Is made of high quality materials. Can’t wait for the weather to get cold so I can show this off and put it to good use. I would definitely recommend this to friends for those cold winter days

If you work outside in the winter you will love this!
I have had mine for 2 years now. I work outside in Ohio weather as a generator technician. I love it.!There is also a extra battery pocket inside the front right pocket I guess to balance out the weight to the opposite side. Get bigger batteries. I actually have Dewalt tools and couldn't find a Dewalt one and the was a Home Depot black friday sale 2 years ago bare tool hoodie for $99. The plug for the hoodie is center pin positive (I believe) and can use the M18 adapter or I bought the Dewalt power source adapter that has that plug in and use Dewalt batteries on mine and when riding my 4 wheeler I can run it off the 12v outlet on my 4 wheeler. I have washed mine several times about every 2-3 weeks in colder weather and it has faded a lot but not terrible. I air dry mine and throw it in the dryer for like 5-10 minutes to soften it up a little. I use it everyday in cooler months and love it!!

Husband ordered this as a Christmas gift for me (petite, 5'1" female) and I love it. Heats up quickly and came with an extra 2.0 battery (promo special) so I always have a back up. High setting is efficient and lasts about 2-3 hours continuous.. I wear it on the medium setting while at work and that can last about 4-5 hours if kept on consistently... keeps me warm when worn independently but obviously an extra lightweight jacket overtop makes it all the better! Highly recommend for men and women and also recommend purchasing an extra battery! It is heavy due to the battery when you are carrying it, but I personally do not notice the weight of the battery when I am wearing it. It looks bulky on me because I am so small but I like my hoodies larger and the side with the battery adds to the 'bulky' look, but I do not really care because I'm warm. Only issue I have had is being in the movie theater and having to cover the light with the jacket on! :)

Great hoodie, keeps me warm when outside, or just warming up my car in the morning. Almost too nice to use at work because I don't want to ruin it. Only drawback for me was ordering correct size online since no HD in my area stock them. I went by Milwaukee's sizing chart, which put me in a more expensive 3x, and ended up being too big.

I really like this hoodie. It is warmer than I expected even without the electric heating turned on. It fits me well, but of course that is very subjective. I bought the hoodie only, not the kit, because I already had M12 batteries and the kit only comes with a 1.5 Ah battery. C'mon, the kit version should come with a least a 2.0 and preferably the 3.0 Ah battery that will also fit. Those choices would last a lot longer. Another nit is that the battery holder is just that, a battery holder and nothing else. The jacket comes with a holder that is also a USB power source and gives you the 4-light indication of the level of the battery charge as shown in the photos. Those two issues are why I rated it a "four".

        Not the right battery holder
Jacket heats nicely but it doesn't come with the advertised battery holder. There should be a led battery life guage and USB port. The picture on the box even shows them. I wanted to use the battery holder as phone charger also.

I wish it came with the m12 power source (49-24-2310) that has the fuel gauge on it so you can monitor battery. Heats well. I recently purchased the m18 power source and a new 3.0 HD battery and now I can go a whole day.

This Milwaukee heated hoodie is part of Milwaukee’s line of heated outerwear that includes coats, hoodies, and gloves. Since I already have several heavy winter coats but lack much in the way of mid-temperature but lightweight outerwear I decided this would be a perfect solution. The hoodie itself is very well constructed. The outer material is a cotton/polyester blend that is soft to the touch. The interior lining is a waffle-like thermal material that is equally soft and according to Milwaukee is designed to trap heat without additional bulky layers. There is an attached hood and nice sized, non-zippering side pockets. The thing that makes this hoodie unique, of course, are the carbon fiber heating elements built into the upper chest and upper back area of this hoodie. They are powered by a rechargeable M12, 1.5 Ah, 12v lithium-ion battery tucked neatly away in a zippered pocket located in the back, but off-center, lower rear section of the hoodie. The system is controlled by an LED lit button on the chest of the hoodie. To turn ON press and hold the button for a couple of seconds. The heating elements will turn ON and the M12 logo power button will glow RED for HIGH. Cycle through WHITE for MEDIUM and BLUE for LOW by repeated pressing of the switch. Press and hold to turn OFF. I found that the control is simple and convenient to use, works flawlessly, and it looks pretty cool when turned ON. Milwaukee’s manufactures a whole line of tools that use the M12 battery and since I already own several of them I should always have enough power to get me through an entire day on a job site. Milwaukee claims the battery will last “up to 6 hours”. I have found that to be true as long as the heat is set on LOW. Expect only a couple of hours of battery life when using the HIGH heat setting. Now the bad news, but this is specific to me. I so wanted love this heated hoodie but due to a poor fit I was disappointed. To be fair, if the hoodie fit me as I expected it to I might have loved it and it might have performed better. My chest size is 45” and waist is 36” so using the sizing chart printed on the box I ordered the XL. The chart says an XL will fit chest size 44”-46” and the waist size listed is 36”-38”. That made sense to me because I have worn XL outerwear for years. Unfortunately, this hoodie is tailored in such a way that it is very long, baggy, and the waist measured a huge 47” (see attached pictures). I think people might say that this hoodie “runs big”. I could accept that if not for the size chart printed right on the box. The waist on this garment is 47” ! Because it is so big I cannot use it as I had intended to: as a mid-weight jacket over my flannel work shirt on those days when I don’t need a heavy coat. I find that I am wearing it as an outer layer over another sweatshirt and then it fits perfectly. I can definitely feel the heat when switched ON and it certainly is warm, actually very warm, on the HIGH setting. I find myself starting on HIGH and then lowering it after about 10 minutes. All said, this is a beautifully made and attractive hoodie with built in heating elements that operate off Milwaukee’s M12 lithium-ion battery system. It works as advertised, it keeps me warm, and but for the fit, would be the first jacket / hoodie I would grab when headed out into 40F-60F weather. As it is, I really can’t use it like that. It lost 1 star for incorrect sizing chart. The hoodie is machine washable and dryable on gentle settings. Packaged with the hoodie is 1 1.5Ah 12v battery and battery charger. The hoodie comes with a 1 year warranty, the battery with a 2 year warranty. It is made in China. The battery is made in Korea.

The battery is placed in a relatively un-obscured area, at the back left kidney, which allows the user to wear any belts, tools, harnesses, etc. I do love the bright red color. I was VERY disappointed with the battery life though. The box says 6 hours, but I guess this is on low, as I ran this on high and in about two hours it died. On an average cold day here (20 or so degrees fahrenheit) you have to be on the high (red) setting just to feel the heat. Though I'm quite immune to the cold, I was freezing in this hoodie until it warmed up a few minutes later. On medium (white) however even I started to get cold, and low (blue) is practically off. If you are working outside in the winter and this is the only thing you have on other than a t-shirt underneath, you will have to run it red. If you're inside a non-heated building, you might get away with white. Blue could be used on those chilly fall mornings in substitute for a light jacket. If placed underneath another item of clothing such as a coat or sweater, I'm sure it'll work a lot more efficiently; but what's the point of a heated system if you have to wear several layers? Of course, it depends on the work that you do and how fast you move. There is also the degree of wetness/dryness to consider as well as wind speed. There are longer-life batteries that Milwaukee offers however, and you will get a better bang for your buck buying the hoodie and 3.0 battery separate.

The M12 is a great looking, warm (before heat) and comfortable hoodie - adding electric heat is the final piece of perfection. I spent a good portion of my late fall and winter snowboarding, hunting, working outside and in the garage over the winter so this seemed like the right hoodie to pick up. Even though my cars seats are heated - this is still so much more comfortable and heats up in 5 seconds. There's nothing like wearing a comfy hoodie underneath that's free enough to allow you to move while trapping the heat in well. The M12 hoodie is cut loose for free movement while the waffle lining does wonders holds the heat in. The battery seems mainly for when I'm not staying active to heat back up. After a month the hoodie stands out as comfortable, durable, machine washable and, obviously, providing great heat. Here's what I like, and don't like about this hoodie Pros: 1.) It heats up fast and lasts throughout the day 2.) Provides three heat settings (high/medium/low) allowing you to set the heat you need at the press of a button 3.) Material holds the heat in and keeps the wind out. It's good on it's own until about 50 degrees then it's time to layer ontop 4.) This year the battery packs were upgraded to include a charge indicator, ability to charge by micro-usb and a powered usb port. I've been keeping my phone charging in the battery pocket when it gets low 5.) I've washed it 5 times already to test it and it's still looking new with no piling on the fabric or faded color 6.) Quality materials from the zippers, pulls, fabric to liner Cons: 1.) It's probably in the best place for fit and function but the battery is in the back left of the hoodie. You feel it whenever you sit down with a backrest 2.) When you wear this under layers (as I feel it's intended for the winter) it's hard to get at the heat control (small gripe) Overall I'd certainly buy another one for a friend or family member and looking forward to the continued progress Milwaukee is making on their heated line

The Milwaukee 12 Volt Red Heated Hoodie is a must have for anyone that spends plenty of time outdoors throughout the fall and winter. The hoodie provides heat to your chest and back for approximately 6 hours. Aside from the heated elements of the jacket, there is a waffle weave thermal lining on the inside of the hoodie that helps keep you nice and warm. This hoodie is perfect for a variety of tasks from racking leaves to sitting in the cold watching a football game. The heated hoodie has three settings, which is easily visible from the M12 logo located on the front. The settings are as follows: low - blue, medium - white, high - red (see pictures below). The hoodie has two large pockets, along with one integrated device pocket located inside of the right pocket. Additionally, there is a low profile battery pocket, which is conveniently located on the back left side. This hoodie is a must have if you love to be outside and don’t want to wear a big, bulky, heavy, constricting jacket.

I bought the new Milwaukee heated gloves last month. I was so super happy with them, I decided to get one of these black heated hoodies. I love this hoodie—it’s a solid product. PROS *Extremely well made *Fairly priced *Very warm even without using the heated option *Reinforced pockets *Phone pocket *The sizing is point-on. *Not bulky. Looks like a normal hoodie *The battery lasts a long time and charges up fast. about 3 hours on high heat and even longer on the lower settings. Overall, I'm just super happy with this Hoodie and I highly recommend it. You won't be disappointed. 5 out of 5 stars

All I can say is wow, this jacket is pretty awesome. I was skeptical at first but once I pulled it out and used it I must say that it will be very welcome in the coming months. It is made of a very nice thermal cloth on the inside and would be very warm even without the warming elements. It has a very nice heavy duty zipper and you can hardly tell where the wiring is run throughout the jacket. The Milwaukee symbol on the chest is the button that activates it and has three settings all of which work very well and are versatile depending on your needs. It has a nice zippered pouch on the back where the battery plugs in and is held securely. The battery also has a adapter that slides over it to allow you to plug in the round connecter and can be removed and the battery can be used to power another of milwaukees many products. all in all I am very happy with the jacket, would recommend.

Few minor fitment issues with it, but overall am very happy with this heated Milwaukee m12 hoodie, and am looking forward to getting some extensive job site use out of it this winter. I will be wearing this under a jacket or coat much of the time, and I prefer fitted clothing anyway, so I was glad to find that it runs pretty true-to-size in the body. The arms are certainly a little long, which seems to be the case with most all overseas-produced clothing nowadays, but with the elastic cuffs, it's not an issue. Speaking of the cuffs, they are quite tight for the size, but will no doubt stretch over time. The hood is also a good bit oversized, to my liking - yet, no so big that it will fit over my hardhat, which I initially though might be the intent. Again, it's possibly just the style of things today. I got this to keep me warm while working construction outdoors, not as a fashion statement, and I have no doubt that it will ably do such. I'm in and out a lot, working, so the fact that it comes up to temperature so quickly is a huge plus to me. This kit version comes with everything needed to utilize the hoodie. As are most all Milwaukee products, it is also available as standalone item, without the battery and charger, but including the required battery holder.
