check your bag before use for termites
Last year I bought this two large bags last year for my garden and I saw a little white bugs in it didn’t pay attention to it so I’ve planted in some pots some started plants and a week later they were dying I dug them up and the roots and everything had been eaten and I looked and there’s little termites ruined my plants but I thought it was my fault this year I bought two more big bags are you gonna plant some peas along the fence line started pouring it out in a row and there’s these little white bugs again coming out of the bag with the dirt they are termites little white termites this is ridiculous how can you grow plants when the termites will damage them and multiplyOn your property besides this is terrible

    So sad!
I have always used miracle grow with no issues, however not happy this year, the first two bags had obvious bugs thew those out, third bag tried baking the bugs out, was a real hassle threw the remaining dirt away. The last bag I bought looked good, so I thought, every plant I used the dirt in is so INFESTED with bugs I'm going crazy! I'm scared to buy more of your dirt. So disappointed!!!

      Full of gnats
I bought a huge bag of Miracle Gro potting soil to repot all my house plants and had such a large infestation of gnats. I used sticky bug catchers in pots and had hundreds of gnats stuck to them. I used mosquito pellets to kill adults and used small pebbles to prevent them from laying eggs. The company wants you to put your soil out in sun to kill them. Who has time and space for that when you can buy another brand and not have issues. Will not be purchasing this product again

        Potting Soil
Miracle Gro is my go-to potting soil and has never disappointed me. My plants always grow well. I ordered two bags as they were easier to handle. I use this for everything. Delivery is quick and reliable.

My INDOOR plants developed a huge weed problem
I bought this last year and I use it for putting my indoor plants. It has lived in doors since the moment I bought it and opened it up. All of my plans have been developing weeds made out of grass and sunflower seeds so I dumped the bag out in the yard and a big piece of animal bone fell out. Clearly cut with a saw. It was the joint end. This bag was clearly badly contaminated and I don't appreciate having to weed my indoor plants.

          Bad Bugs the worse ever
I have always bought 6 months of potting mix of Miracle Grow and this has been the worse ever. They have hundreds of bugs in the one I used indoors for my plants. and some of my plants are not doing well and not sure if it is due to the invasion of bugs

            So many flies!
It was time to repot my houseplants. When I opened the new bag of miracle grow potting soil I noticed a few flies coming up out of the soil. I figured it was a minor issue. Well, now I have a whole colony of fungus gnats living I’m my houseplants. I am using sticky tapes to catch the adults-and there are so many! I keep changing the tapes, but the flies just keep coming. I’ve tried other solutions but the flies just keep coming. So frustrating!

              Disappointed
We have used Miracle Grow Potting soil for years. I loved it. This year I purchased 2 60.5 litre bags and immediately noticed a difference. Instead of being light and loamy and moisture absorbing this soil was dry and almost the consistency of peat moss. Very poor water absorption. I used one of the bags an a bit of the second then decided to just use last years soil already in the pots.

I have been in avid Gardener since about 1992 when I was 12 years old there is not anything that I cannot grow Miracle-Gro potting soul is the only potting soul that I use in my flower pots and did my vegetable and flower beds I love how it has all of fertilizer your plant needs and literally within a week of planting certain seeds you can see them sprouting up it's inexpensive works great can be used in any type of flower bed or flower pot and can be found almost anywhere as you see it's worked wonders in quite a few beds

Good potting mix for ornamentals and vegetables
I have used Miracle Gro Potting Mix for years for both vegetables and ornamentals. The plants grow well and quickly. Make sure to buy your potting soil from a merchant who stores it in a dry place. I think some of the problems people have is because the merchant stores the bags where rain can saturate the soil causing anaerobic bacterial and fungal growth and insects move into the bags. Miracle Gro Potting Mix has good moisture retention without tending to get soggy. Buy from a merchant who stores it properly and you will be happy with the results.

                    White fungis kattacked my seeds
Every year I plant the seeds from my amaryllis plants and have successfully sprouted hundreds of wonderful plants. Some of which I sell, some I give away and some I plant add to my garden. I have relied on Miracle Grow potting mix many of those years to start my seeds. Last year to my disappointment my success was close to 0%. My seeds Amarillis seeds are large flat disks about the size of a penny and are planted standing up in the soil about half in the dirt and the rest standing straight up out of the soil. This made it unquestionably easy to see the cause of there demise. As the first fine hair like root emerged a white fungus attacked and destroyed the sprout. I even tried to spray the soil with a diluted fungicide to no avail. I hoped I had just got my hands on bags which had been exposed to something irregular however, I cautiously planted only one container in fresh miracle grow this year with the same resulting fungus destroying the entire container again this year. I am very disappointed in the quality of what was once soil I could rely on.

Bought this bag of fertilizer for a large pot to transplant some peas. After filling the pot and transplanting the peas I noticed thousands of gnats crawling around. This is the second bag this year where I have had the same issue.

Great soil but filled with gnats
Over the past 2 years sealed bags of potting soil seems to be loaded with gnats. The soil works good but we are completely infested inside. See attached photos showing 5 insect boards loaded with these gnats over the past two days and the yellow ones are double sided and 6”x8”. That doesn’t even count the dead gnats in the window sills and those flying as I write this. Soil is good but costs way too much if you have to spend more on insect boards and have to likely get rid of all the plants inside. I was told to try sand on top of the soil but it’s not helped as yet.

                                INFESTED WITH INSECTS
I repotted my healthy plants using Miracle Gro Potting soil I’ve had some back from the 80’s. Most were florist plants that were received from the death of our family members. I have babied to ensure they were taken care of. I repotted October 2021. I realized later the soil was infested with bugs. I have treated numerous times with recommended products, trying to save my plants, however, I am gradually losing 1 by 1 and nothing has completely killed. I had a total of 18 with only 8 left but very unhealthy. I have tried to report several times by phone and get a run around by your customer service. At this point I feel your company sells a bad product and does not stand behind.

I bought the Miracle Gro potting mix to start my garden vegetable and flower seeds. The soil is completely moldy. My house stinks of mold so badly I had to remove the plants!! How is this acceptable for indoor use if it molds? The bag was completely dry upon purchase & has been stored in a dry place since purchase 3 weeks ago. I have never experienced anything like this with a potting mix before. Very disappointed!!

                                    Gnat infestation!
I bought 3 bags of the 60L Potting Mix for all my houseplants (clearly I have many). Well, I now have an insane amount of gnats I cannot rid myself. What a shame, as I don't want to throw out all my plants. When it was too late, I saw gnats flying around and out of the last soil bag. I would not recommend this product.

Black gnats every time now after years of use
I have used Miracle-Gro potting soil for over 10 years. Unfortunately over the last year I bought several bags from several locations that are all infested with black gnats. They're very difficult to get rid of and I end up having to change out the soil completely to a different brand. This makes it impossible to use Miracle-Gro potting soil for any plant that you plan to keep in the house even over winter. Unfortunately I would no longer recommend this brand. Pictured is a sticky tape that is placed directly on top of the soil of a freshly planted lime tree in Miracle-Gro potting soil. This is only a week's worth of gnats. There are four other sticky tapes on the Windows surrounding this pot that are also fully full of gnats.

                                        Rocks aren’t soil
I purchased your premium potting soil and besides the sticks there was a large rock in the mix. Premium to me is some perlite and vermiculite in the mix not a rock. There was a very small amount of perlite, enough to say it was there, not premium status.

                                            Fungus Gnats Galore!
I started raising “Spider” plants about 2 years ago and would mix Miracle Grow with a less expensive potting soil. It wasn’t long before I learned about “Fungus Gnats!” and believed the cause was from the other soil. I eventually eliminated the gnats, but it took months…They were everywhere even in my food if I didn’t cover it. I finally replaced my soil with only Miracle Grow, but the nightmare started again about 3 months ago! I thought maybe a few gnats survived and began to lay eggs again, so I had to start the elimination process again! Today I brought in a small pot of Miracle Grow to plant a new “spiderette” and was going to place it in a bedroom, away from the many infested plants I have again! I was preparing the soil to plant the “baby,”when I noticed what appeared to be a “fungus gnat” egg! Surprise! All along the “gnat” problem was coming from the Miracle Grow! Not from the same bag, as I had to buy several to replace the soil in ALL of the infested plants! This has gone on for well over a year now and I think I will end up tossing the 20-25 infested plants I have now! The photo with the pie pan shows what I took out of the pot I was going to use today. (a very small pot) The sticky traps show what I had going on for many months!

                                              Nearly killed my lemon tree
I bought a large bag of the Potting Mix and used it to repot a small lemon tree. The tre was thriving with large thick leaves. It even started to produce flower buds throughout the plant. After I repotted using MG leaves started dropping. My pollinated flowers stopped growing a fell off. It was not over watered or lacked sunlight. Eventually the plant dropped all leaves and flowers. Stem tips started to dry out. Finally in desperation, I removed all of the MG soil, water spraying if from the roots and replacing it with true soil from my garden. The roots looked healthy. Hopefully I will be able to save the lemon tree. I’ll never buy MG soils again.

DONT BUY UNLESS U LOVE PULLING WEEDS.
I bought 8 huge bags of this garbage, to use for a creeping thyme bed in my yard& pumpkins I'm growing in containers. 4 days after planting I noticed growth in my creeping thyme patch& assumed it was just growing fast! Well! To my horror, a few days later I went to plant my pumpkins in the containers on the other side of the yard, that were empty& I discovered they are producing the same weedlings all over them @#$%% So now I have 4 bins& and entire cleared patch in my yard that's just going to be weeds.........Thanks a lot for ruining my yard& halloween Miraclegro. You'll never get business from me again.

                                                        Killing my,plants
I have used several bags for my pots and planters and this soil retains so much water it is killing my wave petunias. It hasn’t rained in a week nor have I watered and it’s soaking wet. Petunias turning yellow and dying, I repotted thinking it was root bound to no avail New soil did it again. Every rail planters I have is creating this mushy wet soil that does not dry out. Weather is 85+ and humid and will not dry. Even has a green tinge on top

                                                          Horrible results
I purchased 2 bags of Miracle grow moisture control potting soil on May 9, 2021. I buy this yearly for my plants on my porch, but this year, my plants hardly grew, seeming to not have any nutrients. I even used miracle grow fertilizer, mixing as the box suggested, and no changes. Finally, I added some 10-10-10 fertilizer to each pot and within days, a couple of days, the plants began to change, grow and blossom more. I am very disappointed with the results of the potting soil, and will add, when I opened the bags, they seemed to have a bunch of trash(sticks, bark etc). I asked my daughter, and she said her plants didn't flourish as usual, using Miracle grow products. What happened to the quality products we usually buy?
