We bought this ice machine and love the ice it produces, as well as how fast it is. Our unit did start making an odd noise, however we contacted customer service and they immediately helped us by sending a replacement unit. Very much appreciate the quick action in them helping us out!

Received the ice machine quickly and got it running. Makes ice very quickly. Ice cubes are clear. Have used the machine for parties and to make several gallon bags of ice to store in the freezer. Really like the ice maker.

I have had a couple of ice machines in the past. All made in China and died in about a year. No warranty at that time. So I was looking for something made in the USA when I found this. I like that you can have "regular" cubes or thicker ones that last longer.

I've only had this machine a couple weeks now and used it about 4 days in that amount of time. So far it's worked perfectly. From start up to first ice has ranged from 30-45 mins then about every 10 mins after that. The ice is very similar to that you find in most hotel machines. I have it on a counter in my washroom and it's pretty quiet. I docked it one star because for the 1 con I have for it. A full cleaning it takes a bit of time. The opening to the reservoir is small and hard to get my hand in there to give it a good wipe down. The ice dump compartment is easier to access but still small. There are two small filters that have to be removed and the bottom drain lays horizontally at the bottom of the machine. You have to tip the unit to get it to drain the final bit of water out. Then you have to run vinegar/water through it making one tray of ice then empty and run another batch of clean water to flush. It's not hard just time consuming. So, docking it one star may or may not be fair since this is the only ice machine I've owned. Others may be easier or harder to clean. How will it hold up over the next few years? Don't know but if I can get 5 years with out issues I'd be thrilled. Overall I'm happy with the purchase.

I love the clear ice, its very quiet and takes up very little space on the counter yet delivers a lot of ice, more then we can use at a time. All our guests have commented on the quality of the ice e have and we just show them the Newair machine.

This is a fantastic ice maker! It makes crystal clear ice quickly, is easy to clean, and has a small footprint on my countertop. The ice that my refrigerator makes is not clear - it has tiny air bubbles and impurities trapped inside the ice, so when using it, it makes carbonated drinks fizz to the point they go flat before I start to drink them. The Newair Clearice40 is a completely different story! The ice is so clear, you can barely see it in a cocktail, and carbonated drinks do not fizz at all. I can't say enough good things about this product. If you like crystal clear martinis, and other drinks, this is well worth the investment!

We love this ice maker. When the ice maker in our freezer broke, the repairman recommended the Clear Ice Maker - he had one himself. It's so easy to use and makes ice quickly. The ice is great for sports water bottles - our kids love it too. The service department was also very helpful when we needed assistance.

this item I would advise against because on the side of the ice maker it warns that this product causes cancer and reproductive issues this product should not be allowed to sell to the public

Works great. Makes ice quickly. The ice is clear. Really is a good purchase. As for the ice coming out not completely separated, that is true, but we just use an ice pick, or put it in a mesh bag after it freezes and use the mallet lightly on the counter or in the sink. We have to filter our drinking water so this allows us to make ice for drinks. Our frig makes plenty for the cooler and such.

The machine didn't last 3 weeks before it started acting up. Started making a funny noise and didn't freeze ice. Unplugged it several times and let it sit and reset itself and began doing the same thing. had to return it.

This is a great addition to my coffee bar! Super easy to use and set up was fast! Very quiet when its done making ice and user friendly as well!

I really enjoy this ice maker for its compact design and hwo fast it actually makes ice. The fact that it makes clear ice is also a great feature!

I have been wanting to write a review for this ice machine. I had previously had a bullet type ice maker that quit working, I decided to try this one. We have had it for over a year! We absolutely love it. It makes great ice, a lot and fast and is easy to clean! When dispensed, some of the cubes do stay together so we put in a baggie and then put in the freezer. When we want ice, we just bang the ice on the counter and it breaks apart. Not a problem at all for us. I've even bought actual "ice" bags and when I am home for the day, I will make a big bag and put in my big freezer for later use!! We stock up for parties and camping!! I highly recommend this ice maker!!

It could be easier to clean but it's been working well for two years so far! Clean with vinegar

bought this ice maker in November. It managed to keep up like a champ through all of the holiday parties. Then last month, it broke. It just stopped making anything but giant blocks of ice. I completely all the suggested cleaning and resets online. Still, not working. So, I messaged newair and they are sending me a new one. I'm hopeful that mine just had a glitch. I loved my ice maker. I'm still giving four stars for the ease of the customer service.

I have had this ice machine for a couple months. It is used in a clinic setting. This machine allows us to have fresh cold ice ready for each patient. It is used 5 days/week. It takes up minimal space on the counter and is very quiet. It has been a very helpful addition to our setting!

I bought the product to use in my camper. It is a great way to make ice in a small area. It makes ice very fast after adding water. Lessens learned in the manual it states to use distilled water. After having issues with unit freezing up. I called and they stated to use only regular drinking water.

I love the clear ice cubes this ice maker puts out. This ice maker is used 12-16 hours per day as we live in AZ where it is very hot. We go through so much ice and we have saved so much money since we no longer have to buy ice cubes. It has also been very handy when we have needed a larger quantity of ice. I purchased some bags that are specifically meant for ice and my only regret is that I did not purchase this sooner.

I use this product daily and it makes great ice cubes that last a long time in drinks. Ice comes out fast and clear. Easy to clean. Very quite with lights to indicate what needs attending.

It produced more than enough for myself an kept it cold unless I was gone for more than a couple of days. I used it as an alternative to carrying ice around 3 floors especially next to spa bath. It's small sq. Cubes that fit in glass easily. I have had an issue but received timely assistance to solve.

Ice cycle time is very fast cubes are nice easy to clean and maintain. Had an issue with it making noise customer service was able to cover it and make it right in one day! Definitely would purchase again if I needed another one but one is enough!

Good product. Makes ice quickly, which is useful for entertaining. The ice is clear, so it looks good in beverage glasses when making cocktails. The cubes are slightly small, but the speed at which they're made is very useful for a home bar setup. Good size to the unit too, very portable.
