I am happy to see the transformer is packaged in a paper box so less trash go to the junkyard. Since this transformer is advertised for door chine and door bell, I don't expect the rated voltage will be actuate but I have gone ahead and measure them anyway. On average, the voltages measured from the three voltage options are consistently around 25% over the rating. With this transformer, the door bell or chime will definitely be louder.

This is a nice heavy duty transformer. It has versatility with it's eight volt and sixteen volt connections. The wring is simple. You run the wire from the eight volt or the sixteen volt side of the transformer depending on the type on doorbell you have to the door bell and then to the to the chime. Hook one wire up to . You then run the other wire from the load terminal of the transformer to the center terminal on the doorbell chime usually labeled "Trans". That is it working door bell.

This, TRI-VOLT WIRED TRANSFORMER DOOR CHIME / DOOR BELL, was purchased to replace the failed, 2, transformers I had to use with my Ring Door Bell. The Door Chimes themselves was the culprit! This transformer works great with my Ring Door Bell and new Wall-mounted Door Chime. It was easy to install and you have various options on how much power you need. Looking forward to many years of enjoyment on hearing & seeing people at my Front Door!

I was replacing my old doorbell and since the old transformer is probably at least from the 1960's and potentially a fire hazard, I decided to spend the few bucks and replace it too. The installation is very simple as it comes with attached wire leads on the 120V side and screw terminals on the low voltage side. I like that it offers 3 different voltages, as I forgot to look it up before I went to the store.

Transformer I can see this transformer to be used in multiple applications like power supply for thermostat or zone valve or intercom in the building. I personally replaced my transformer with this one because of Ring Video doorbell and finally work much better. If someone activates the doorbell the Ring app. opens immediately without a long delay. Even motion activation in front of the Ring doorbell has much improved with notices on the Phone coming quicker. So if you have been on the phone with Ring customer service multiple times and you did not seen very little performance improvement with all their suggestions. I would recommend you get this stronger transformer. In fact, early on with my Ring research, there was no second guessing with needing a stronger transformer. For some reason, this thought has changed at Ring and the customer service people do not bring it up. This transformer has three different voltages 8V with 10VA, 16V with 10VA and 24V with 20VA.

Replaced old 10v transformer with this 8, 16, 24v model to power Wyze Doorbell V2 camera. I used the 16v tap. It works! However, there is a constant and annoying hum coming from the transformer because of the way it’s built. I don’t think it’s a safety concern, it’s not arcing. Installed unit 2 weeks ago. Wish it was quieter. I would rate it about 3.5 stars.

Installed easily (excellent instructions) for my Ring Doorbell 2 after locating old transformer in the attic and turning off the correct circuit breaker on my panel. Been three weeks now - so far so good.

Great doorbell transformer. Solidly built, easy to install, and incredibly versatile with the three voltage options. Did the trick for me as I moved from a 45 year old 10 volt doorbell ringer to a new digital version, which takes higher voltage. The old transformer wouldn't power the new digital doorbell. This new transformer solved the problem with a boost in voltage. Five Stars!

Perfect! Works as described

The transformer arrived promptly and at a reasonable price. The unit it replaces only lasted abut 5 years so am hoping this new one will last much longer.

This unit works very well. It was used to replace a similar type transformer that became defective. Just had to figure out where to attach the extra wires from my chime doorbell.

It was a good replacement. The old one was 10 v ac only, This one has 8, 16 and 24 v. I used 16 v for a new chime and camera doorbell, plus the 8-v outlet for a water leak alarm that I installed in the attic! It was more noisy than the old one, but that was easily cured with some window seal under it.

Perfect transformer for multiple voltages. I used this on my doorbell. The doorbell was 24v, the Ring Doorbell is 18v. Just wish it was sold in the store.

I needed a new transformer to power an Arlo video doorbell. This one had the necessary higher voltage and fit the old doorbell mount perfectly. Would have given the transformer 5 stars but it took over two weeks to get it. Very slow but worked perfectly once it arrived.
