Worked great when replacing our kitchen sink. Fit perfectly and no water leaks.

Ikea bathroom sink vanities and sinks come with 1 1/2” drain pipes, where the drain in our home is 1 1/4”, which is typical. We were able to use two key parts of this adapter: the wide plastic screw-on part & the red adapter gasket piece, to use the old sink’s elbow joint. My son cut it shorter, and fit it into the Ikea P trap. I don’t know if it’s code, but it doesn’t leak.

This has a specific purpose and worked well.

I needed to make a washer machine stand pipe that worked with the existing 1970’s P-tube drain, because of space restraints, and this helped me convert the under sink tubing to fit to 1 1/2” ABS/PVC pipe.
