I recently installed a new sump pump in my basement. I used a 2-inch PVC pipe for the ejection line. The distance from the pump to where the line exited the building was about 60 feet and so there were several spots where the pipe would go "thump" when the pump turned on and then off. To get this to quit, I used a series of 2-inch Galvanized DWV Hangers. I used some with the plastic coating and some without and it didn't seem to make any difference. Both types totally eliminated that annoying thumping sound.

This all metal galvanized pipe hanger works fine for most needs, copper, PVC, etc.
Exact measurements are included with the pictures in my review.
It's inexpensive and easy hangs onto wood or concrete walls with the appropriate fasteners (not included).
I use these to support runs of cable as well as plumbing, under rafters, and what not.
They also work great for hanging tools in the shop, strong and sturdy and inexpensive. What more could you ask for?
I'd recommend it.

Great Hanger. This is being used for my Water Heater to keep the pipe from vibrating. It is made from a durable aluminum and is very sturdy. The lock screw loosens and tightens very easily, I bent the metal are after measuring it with my hand, so as sturdy as it is, it performed without any special metal bending machine. After installation it did the job it was meant to do.

This product is a good solution for securing a 2” drain line. It is easy to use and to bend into place to navigate any plumbing obstructions. Once in place, the hanger holds the pipe securely, helping to minimize pipe vibrations and damage. The galvanized metal construction should hold up well without rusting in damp and humid environments.
The installation might be easier to complete in tight quarters if you consider loosely placing the collar onto the pipe and sliding it along the pipe to the supporting location, before securing the strap to a joist and tightening the pipe collar. That's what I did.
A good product I would recommend to others.

The Oatey pipe hanger is the easy way to support a 2" DWV pipe. It is made of galvanized steel making it strong. It has a removable adjustment screw that can be adjusted up to 2 1/2" and even though it is made for 2" you could support a pipe that is smaller. After you have the hanger around the pipe or item to be supported you attach it to the joist or other fixed object with nails or screws.
