Easy to use. Easy cleanup. Thought the photo on the can was the product color. It wasn't even close.....missleading!

It was a little darker than the picture.

I have used this product to protect our wooden privacy fence going back several years and never disappoints. The quality of the coating makes our yard looks beautiful.

Great product for the dock and deck. Coloring was perfect and the four inch brush worked great ??

The water based product is not compatible with rough hewn fence pickets. It comes out of the can like Chocolate Syrup and covers rough hewn wood poorly. I was expecting to get the oil based product where I ordered this as that is what the Home Depot website said it was.

Color wasn’t even close to the sample. Much darker

The color is wildly misleading.. shame on you Olympic. My family took an entire day off work, to stain a brand new deck and it’s chocolate brown now. The time and effort and money to reverse and fix isn’t in the cards. I wouldn’t buy anything from Olympic at all. I’m sickened by this honestly.

I did not receive what was specified in the above special order. I received Atlas Cedar semi transparent/semi solid!! Had to return it and was then told that although it was still on Home Depot’s website, it no longer was available!

I bought this to stain and seal tongue and groove fir decking that I previously stripped (semi transparent stain) and sanded. Maybe it was mixed incorrectly but it either way, it went on thick and dried like a solid stain with no wood grain showing. The directions state two coats are needed which would have looked like paint. Fortunately I only treated one board. I then applied Benjamin Moore Woodluxe Oil Semi Transparent and it produced the look I originally hoped for.

Constantly stirring and added tint keeps needing to be mixed. Leaves brush marks painting a 12” board. Tried 4” roller but can’t stir very well in a roller pan. Just went back and lightly sanded will try second coat tomorrow but not looking good

The chestnut brown stain went on my pinewood fence very rich and smooth. Nice color. The reason I gave a four star is because the stain would drip a little when applying with a brush. Some of the areas required using a brush.

We just cleaned, sanded and refinished our decking. It came out beautiful! We prefer the semi transparent because the grain of the wood shows through. I love the cedar color. It has a very natural look. Time will tell how long it lasts.

Hopefully the water-based deck stain will work as well as the oil based stain

Olympic Stain is one of the few good reasons to even go into a Home Depot. In my case, I didn't even need to deal with a salesperson who wasn't there or who was busy elsewhere. Olympic is still a top notch product after all these years and I'm glad to have a place to get it!

Used this on my fence was and still am happy with that BUT we so very carefully applied it to our deck and 8 months in it is lifting and peeling and we will need to totally strip it. NOT HAPPY. There is just no substitute for REAL OIL. My Advice - DO NOT USE THIS on a flat surface. CS blamed my application. They refunded me (no check yet) my purchase price but nothing regarding the stripping - hardly any advice on that. I should have trusted the reviews more - there were warnings.

Sent color 2005. Ordered 716. 2nd time you've sent wrong color. Need a refund. Almost 400.00 by your mistake. Need for you to pick up and give me refund. Will go to somewhere else to get right. Please respond to get refund .
