The finished product is outstanding and I really love it. The decor fits our outdoor area beautifully!! The product delivery needs to be more efficient, meaning there should be a forklift to assist in delivery to the location. Also, I had about a dozen of the small bricks were not shipped. Hopefully I can get some replacements. Overall, i would recommend the project!

Instructions were a little hard to understand at time, but after studying them awhile they made sense. Took about 10 hours total to build (that included moving the stone from the driveway to the backyard). Assembling with glue was easy and made assembly go faster. Is an amazing addition to any backyard.

The product arrived on 6 pallets. The packaging of the firebox and chimney was insufficient and caused several gouges into the paint to expose raw metal where the had collided during shipping, requiring some touch up paint (hoping to avoid rust). Luckily the gouges we're not niticeabln once installed. The assembly is pretty straightforward, with one major issue - the mini blocks are repeatedly stacked 4 high in the plan and that stack is supposed to align with one square block. The stack of 4 is consistently short by about 1/4", which causes the level to be entirely off row after row. I had to find 1/8" metal to shim between each mini blocks in the stack to make up the height. This was extra work and expense but the 1/8" gap is small enough to not be noticeable. They need to adjust the sizes or design to account for this. The assembled product looks good if you watch the level and make the compensation for the block size, but it takes a lot more effort than advertised.

The delivery truck driver called and asked if I had a fork lift and I said, "no". He asked if I would rent one and I said, "no". So he showed up and backed the 18 wheeler into a spot near the project and by using his lift on the truck was able to lower the five pallets in a line by moving his truck forward after each pallet was lowered. It worked out well because we have a lot of room for maneuvering the big truck. I put down the first layer to make sure the project was level and then turned it over to my pre-engineer grandkids. My grandson is about 15 and my granddaughter is 18. They put it together in about 12 hours and loved the project. I watched but they figured it out for themselves. The instructions were adequate but there was no instructions concerning the amount of glue to use on each piece. They used two stripes of glue on the bigger pieces and one stripe on the small pieces. We had two tubes left over. I think we would have liked the middle color better than the grey we chose from the three pictures we saw online. It is a nice addition to our covered back patio. Fire logs are working very well and leave little residue.

There are two points to this review, one for pricing of the kit and the other for the fireplace. 1 - Regarding the pricing of the kit, the price of the kit is $2,785.56 and $55.00 for delivery. Normally one would believe the price of the kit would be a good or great value as compared to buying all the components individually, NOT IN THIS CASE! The kit includes the following: 1 - Fireplace insert which seperately costs $657.00. 2 - Rumblestone large wall block = 192 pieces 3 - Rumblestone medium wall block = 288 pieces 4 - Rumblestone mini paver = 586 pieces 5 - 24 tubes, 10.1 fl. oz. each, polyurethane adhesive So cost of all the block, pavers and the adhesive is $2,128.00. If you price out all these it will come to between $1,400 - $1,500. So you are paying around $600-$700 more for the convenience of buying the kit. When I determined that I had been ripped off I called HD and told them they needed to match the price of all individually or they need to come pick up the kit and give me a refund, which is what they did, they sent another truck to come and pick it up all and send back to the vendor, incredibly stupid. Anyway you can order the individual components and HD will deliver to you for $79.00, which what I have done and was delivered yesterday. My review on the Fireplace will be determined once I put it together.

Looks awesome took two days to put together. The first day we ran out of the glue and the home depot does not carry it. I had to order from manufacture took three days to get other than that went together like a puzzle.

Pavestone fireplace
The kit came on 6 palets and weighed 10,200 pounds. It came with everything you need to complete the job. I had to download the assembly directions online. Everything was delivered very quickly. They qouted 3 weeks, but it was there in 1.5 weeks. Assembly is time consuming but very easy.

I ordered my fireplace kit and only 4 days later a semi truck backed into my driveway and deposited 5 pallets of stone, the fire box and chimney, the log grate, and 24 tubes of heavy duty construction cement! This is NOT a do it yourself project! Professional installation is really required! First of all, it's so heavy that you need to dig a 5 foot hole with a small backhoe and pour a concrete footer! Then you have to build a cement block wall to the exact footprint of the fireplace. then pea gravel is filled in the center of the wall and the outside of the wall and tamped down. On top of that, a form of wood is built, and a pad of cement is poured. It took a team of 4 stone masons 2 days to dig and get to the pad stage. Then 2 days to lay the stone, insert the firebox and chimney, the surround the firebox and chimney with the stone. So it took 4 stonemasons 4 days to actually complete the fireplace. There was a LOT of dirt to remove and haul away, but the nice part was the masons did not have to mix mortar and chip and shape stone so it was a MUCH cleaner job! I LOVE the results, but the professional installation was NOT cheap!

    Not perfect
First problem there is not enough caulk for the entire project. Second complaint goes with the mini blocks. They are not true to their size as 4 mini blocks should be the exact same size as a 7x7 square block but it's off by about a quarter inch. This may not seem like a lot but with all the layers it creates gaps and crooked blocks. This creates uneven layers and tilted blocks. Yes you could go ahead and grind an entire level or use mortar but that takes away from the aesthetics. Rumblestone needs to fix this size issue and their molds!!!! My suggestion would be to replace the stacks of 4 minis for a square 7x7 block...it'll still look good but will be more balanced and less gaps would occur. I had to use mortar and am very displeased at how it looks with it. It's not as perfect as I'd like and it eats at me every time I see it. If it weren't for this fact I'd absolutely love the fireplace

      Rumblestone Outdoor fireplace
Delivered quick and was easy to assemble. Took a couple weeks to finish mainly due to pouring a solid pad and only working on it a couple levels at a time. You can only do a couple levels and let dry or the blocks will start moving around.

        Great Value
The fireplace looks good. Had a few extra for each size left over and plenty of adhesive. Directions are not super detailed but easy to follow. Its basically a very large and heavy "lego" project. Only problem was the small bricks were not exactly 1/2 of the height of the mediums so they never perfectly lined up - you need to add sand or some type of leveling. Was half the cost of some other kits I looked at so I consider it a great value.
