no traction.

Tilts to its side on hard turns. Forward speed is too fast & non adjustable. Easy start & good cut. Hard to keep straight. Hard plastic wheel as very poor traction. You get what you paid for.

A fine piece of machinery. Solid, well-made. We loved it until we fired it up and Mama started mowing. She's fairly fit for her age (70's) and has done a lot of mowing, so she set off with confidence. What we did not expect was that when she engaged the drive the thing took off like a dragster. It almost took her off her feet and forget about moving a little bit forward or going slowly around shrubbery. It has two speeds Stop and Jog. It's a shame. Such a nice little mower. We could control our Toro with variable speed, but the designers at Powersmart apparently can't understand how to do that. Home Depot took it back with courtesy.

I ordered this mower online. I received it in under a week, and, in perfect condition. The instruction manual is easily understood. Assembly was simple requiring only a couple of deep sockets. I put it together unassisted in 20 minutes on my garage floor. An extra set of hands would have been nice but isn't really needed. The box it came in was sturdy enough enough to use as a lifting block to put the front wheel assembly on. It is shipped dry so oil and fuel were the only things I bought. (A heads up here... get the oil in before you pull the start cord. Fuel goes in after everything else is assembled and the crankcase is filled with oil. If you start it, absent oil, even for a second, you WILL damage the engine.) The mower started on the first pull of the cord, The self propel power is unexpectedly impressive. It pulls the mower right along at a brisk pace making short work of inclined mowing. It is also very easy to push when the self propel is not being used. The single front wheel requires a nut and shaft to be removed for height adjustments but no tools are needed so it isn't really a negative in my estimation. Both rear wheels adjust with a single lever. The single wheel on the front makes mowing around obstacles the easiest I have ever experienced in a hand mower. No turf tearing from skidding wheels leaves my lawn looking great. Having the option of side or rear bagging, side discharge with no bag, or mulch satisfies every mowing condition on my property. All in all, I think it is a great product.

Very easy to assemble haven’t had a good enough weather to see how it moves let you know in a future survey send one when summer comes I’m in Pennsylvania and with not real nice right now

Liked the easy turning and easy start.have not really needed to use it yet just tryed it out.

Strong motor and mower turns on a dime. Moves forwards quite fast, but hasn't been an issue since rear plastic wheels spin easily to counter this. Great little mower for small /mid-size yards.

I am 4’9” tall and weigh 93lbs. This lawnmower is very manageable for me. I love that it has only one front wheel, makes turning a cinch. It’s powerful and cuts grass just like any other push mower I have ever used. Love it!

Greatl price well built easy to manuever and easy storage Could have design the front wheel better when adjusting blade height. Overall it's a excellent mower

The Drive unit QUIT after 15 minutes.Returned it for a refund.

Its powerful and good, but this company has no quality control. My 1st mower came broken in box and the pieces that broke off were not in the box. My 2nd came with extra broken plastic that did not go to my mower.I also wish I had gotten the 4 wheel model.

I call it cyclops. Really good machine. I do have trouble with the choke and acceleration bars literally falling off. That aggravation, however, is easy enough.

Other than go a little fast for a person my age(77) it is performing nice as expected. If I can figure out a way to slow it down . It would be a great machine...

Good mower, gets the job done.

Brought it because with 3 wheels it would handle easer for my finish work. It does the job. I only used it once so It will be a while before I know it there will be problems with it.

I was amazed as to the power, easy assembly and better of its self-propelled mechanism. It made my mowning faster and easier without getting tired after using my old machine. The single wheel on the front made the machine rotate faster. Great buy!!

Good: Lots of power, easy to start and store in my shed. Manuvers around bushes / obstacles with ease. Bad: No speed control on rear wheel drive. You have to practically run to keep up with it. Really lousy if you have to do parallel mowing on even a slight incline as the front wheel forces you to use real Muscle to control it. Example: I have a slight incline between my sidewalk and the street curb, this causes a MAJOR problem to mow along the curb without scalping the grass. Would return it to Home depot if it wasn't such a hassle.

Powersmart DB 8620, 20" self propelled mower seems to be well built. Very little assembly out of the box, only 9 bolts and nuts, add oil and gas, ready to go. THIS is a great mower for the money AS LONG AS you understand the pro's and con's of its operation. 1. Engine , one fixed speed. 2. Blade operates whenever engine is running. 3. Power to rear wheels only one speed, on or off, no variable slip. No wheel brakes, can go faster than drive down hill (ratchets). The on/off lever seems awkward and I like to engage and disengage often when mowing rough terrain. 4. Height, rear wheels single lever but front wheel requires a bolt move. 5. Have seen some complaints about 3 wheel tipping, some control at handle required. 6. If mowing up hill and you disengage the drive, the mower will roll back against you. Sometimes this can be an advantage, if I run into heavy grass W/ DB 8620 , disengage the drive and it free wheels for reverse, no need to push forward to release the ratchets. I really like this mower, it does what I wanted.

TOO FAST! I ordered this because i liked the 3 wheel design - thinking it would be easier to turn on corners. The first flaw is it has one speed ... high!!! This makes it almost impossible to keep pace with it, and even harder to make turns. Would not recommend

It was hard to cut the grass on hills with the one wheel in the front
