Went on easily with sprayer. Lid was difficult to get off when theres not a man or a pair of pliers around. I would like to see an opening in lid in order to pour amount needed.

Preserva Wood CLEAR does not have any pigment, so it does not add any color to your project when you stain it. Our CLEAR is still a stain and sealer, so you should test a small area to make sure you are happy with the results, before you stain the entire project. CLEAR will enhance the rich appearance of natural wood.

You can expect about 200 square feet per gallon on rough fence boards and about 400 square feet per gallon on smooth deck boards. Preserva Wood is a true oil based wood stain (no water), and is formulated to be very thin to promote penetration into your wood.

Good product. It soaks into the wood very well. If you plan on coating your parts before assembly be sure to use it outdoors. The odor is too strong for indoor use. I would recommend it and would buy it again.

Great finish on cedar fence
Required 3.5 gallons to treat 300 ft2 of Western Red Cedar. Much higher than indicated on the product information. Finished work was good. Using pump sprayer for application.

I wore gloves and used a rag to apply it to fencing. It goes on quickly and soaks in well at the 50-60 degree air temperature. I would do a section as wide as I could reach in either direction and then when done go back and lightly wipe off any excess.
