Extender lock doesn't work
Poor quality materials overall, and to top it off, the locking mechanism for the telescoping extension doesn't hold - You can just push the door open with a little extra force

This item is not a quality item. It feels like a 12oz coke can; that could be crushed easily. At 28 dollars your better off spending a few bucks on a piece of straight wood then this thing. The store clerk who recommended it should be fired.

It takes some skill to drill the holes precisely into the patio door frame, so a friend who works in construction did it for me. The bar seems a bit flimsy but seems to be doing its job.

While the crossbar/lock I purchased is an excellent item, it is too long for my sliding deck door. Therefore I will be returning it.
