Avoid! Avoid!
These spacers are inconsistently sized which can really throw off the alignment of your subway tiling job. It’s amazing how much trouble such a simple product can cause.

I bought 3/8 inch spacers for my tile project. I found at least 3 different thicknesses within the same package labeled as 3/8. They were all thinner than 3/8 so I had to try to catch them but I did miss some. I bought 2 bags and probably 10% or more we’re not 3/8 inch.

Too thin and not cut straight. I like the harder plastic spacers.

They are soft and flexible for easy maneuvering in the tile joints. They work well for all sizes of ceramic tile, porcelain, stone and marble. Some were difficult to stay in place with the tiles because the middle was fatter, making them wobble more. Luckily I bought 2 bags to use so we got the job done.

Product was as described. I ended up not needing it because tile I was installing (Daltile) had built in tile spacers on tile edges which made it extremely quick and precise to install with level line and stringer board setting first level.

The spacers are pretty thin and don’t stay in place as well as they should. You have to constantly check to make sure installed spacers haven’t moved. Would not buy again.

For easy removal, use spacers vertically in traditional tombstone-style. They work well for all sizes of ceramic tile, porcelain, stone and marble. However, we do not recommend them for large format wall tiles 15" x 15" or larger. These are very easy to use, and they won't scratch delicate tile. They are reasonably priced as well. I really like most of QEP's products.

We received the tile before receiving the spacers. We installed the tile before receiving spacers. The tile looks great. We installed without spacers. I’m sure the spacers are fine but we didn’t use them.
