Works very well

This trowel worked perfect. It left great ridges and cleaned up easily. I wouldn’t pay the extra for a rubber handle unless you use this daily.

After using two weekends on a small bathroom, the handle totally came apart in My hand. Now have to run to Home Depot with mortar drying on the wall and in the pan

Only issue handle could have been more durable

The 1/4in square notched trowel from QEP was a vital tool in the remodel of out bathroom. It works amazingly well when used with a properly consisted thinset. If your thinset is the right consistency then this is the tool you should use! It works wells with medium and large tile setting!

This is a good useful tool, however, the 1/2 inch was a little too much on our 18X18 tile. We started off by using this and buttering our tile. It turned out to be too much thinset on the tile. We had to stop buttering the tile and just lay the thinset on the wonder board. If you want to butter your tile I would recommend the 1/4. We had that size too and it worked better to butter and lay with the 1/4 inch trowel. This is a sturdy durable trowel. It cleaned with easy and looks brand new again. The handle is solid and will lat through many more projects. Great quality for the price.

The first thing I noticed was how comfortable the handle felt in my hand. The balance was also important especially when you are working in tight quarters for long periods of time.

I have used this to smooth out a new extension to my porch and has worked very good. And it did a good job with me grout too.

The tile job was made easy with this Traditional floor trowel.It stayed true never bent and did not rust after being cleaned.

the wood handle is not a good fit on the steel rod, so it easily becomes loose and spins on it's base when you are troweling out thinset. to fix this, you need to remove the handle, wrap some tape around the steel rod that the handle mounts to in order to get a tighter fit, then reinstall the handle and tighten the nut. after that the handle still rotated on it's mounting rod a little, but did not completely lose traction and rotate freely on it's mounting rod like before and i was able to complete my project. this is a manufacturing defect that shows poor quality control and lack of interest in producing a tool that can actually be used for it's intended purpose. i would not buy this product again and recommend that it be passed over in favor of something with higher quality control.

Works as designed

Got this for some 8x48” tiles (first solo job, not a great one to go with!) I don’t know how to say it worked other than I finished my kitchen and it didn’t break.

The tool performed well

Did the job at a bargain price. This is a one job, then throw away tool.

Great professional product

Does what it is meant to do, spread thinset at the appropriate depth. Why spend more? I do like the wood handle because it gives good grip surface and is large enough in diameter so it doesn't tire the hand as a thinner grip would.

Excellent trowel for 18x24 tile. Now the tile size and weight was another story! Great for large tile applications.
