I have purchased several Ridgid tools , the perform very well, However the batteries do not last long with cold weather, I have purchased several batteries and found the registration prosess for the alleged "Lifetime Warrantee"is very difficult. When you buy a product with a "Lifetime Warrantee" you should be able to return it to the place of purchase when it fails...not the case with RIDGID !

Hello, Rlm1 - We are sorry to hear that you are not pleased with the run time of your battery! Run time depends on the amp-hour of the battery and the tool. Amp-hour refers to the constant amp draw a battery pack can run at for 1 hour. So, a 4.0 Ah battery can run at 4 amps for an hour in normal conditions. However, tools vary in their amp draws, and if a tool has a higher amp draw than 4 amps, it will diminish the run time. We hope this provides clarity!
