Removed sheet vinyl from concrete that was glued down 30+ years ago. I scraped what I could with a floor scraper and finished with this diamond wheel. Used with a Porter-Cable angle grinder. I also purchased a dust collector (glad I did because grinding 85 sq ft of concrete generated almost 2 gallons of dust). This was the perfect setup for the job! Plenty of life remaining on the wheel too. Tip: Insert a screwdriver through the holes on the wheel for more leverage during tightening/loosening.

This thing is amazing!
I am re-tiling my pool. I really, REALLY didn't want to spend the money on this, but I won't miss one cent of it. I spent half an hour doing about 20 feet of my water line (6 inches wide) with a conventional grinding wheel before I broke down and bought this. In the last ten minutes, I've done approximately 45 feet of water line with the new wheel! It is an absolute beast. I actually had to adjust my pressure to barely touch the old thinset to keep from digging into the concrete. Totally worth every penny. Make sure you have eye protection and a respirator! This thing throws debris everwhere.

My wife and I were pouring some GFRC Concrete counter tops in our backyard and once they had cured needed a tool to smooth out the bottom edge. It was a little hard to convince my wife that we needed to spend this kind of money on a tool, but once I had it attached to my grinder we both realized it was worth every penny.
To me the benefit of this wheel is two fold; the speed at which I was able to complete my grinding was far faster than I thought it would be. I had about 26 linear feet of edge to grind and this wheel chewed through it in a matter of minutes. The second is the quality of the edge that it left. You can see in the after photo that it is incredible smooth and barely needed any sanding. There was no chip out or breaking of the surface, it just removed the excess.
We are going to be doing a few more concrete counter tops over the coming months and I am happy to have this grinding wheel in my tool box.

I used this product to level out sidewalk trip hazards (some 1/2 inch high). I was impressed how easily and quickly it ground the concrete away. I thought this grinding was going to be a hard job and it wasn't! Be sure to be safe when doing this - don't just use a ordinary dust mask - use a fume mask to protect your lungs. Safety glasses or a face shield is a must. This is what I used.

6. Leaf blower to get rid of the dust - this process makes LOTS of dust - don't breathe it!

worked very well. I was stripping deck cover off of my concrete patio and this was the only tool that would do it. On a side note I would never put Behr Deck cover on any patio wood or concrete.

I was pleasantly surprised at how well this worked and the speed at which it can grind a concrete surface. First application was to grind a 4 foot long heave crack in a concrete floor in preparation for repair and resurfacing. I was able to grind the length of the crack smooth in just a few minutes and will little effort. The blade didn't catch or bind. Next a brick threshold was smoothed for repair and covering. The wheel easily ground the brick in a very controlled way without cracking or knocking off big chunks. Next I used the wheel to remove paint on a concrete threshold. Worked very easily and quick. It was also very good at removing lumpy residue from a concrete bathroom floor after vinyl flooring was pulled up. Takes more time to remove sticky residue but was still very effective. I don't know how long this will last, but it already saved me a bunch of time and effort so well worth the investment. I was skeptical but this worked better than I had expected.
Wear goggles, ear protection, and a good dust mask! Silica dust is very bad to inhale. You might want to consider wearing a disposable Tyvek overall suit too. Otherwise you will be covered in dust.

Worked great
I used this wheel for the first grind of my concrete counter tops. I used a disposable pad for the first top and it took forever. So a ran to HomeDepot and picked up this wheel and it sped up my process 100 fold. I blazed through the rest of the pieces.

Makes quick work of grinding concrete
Used this to even cracks in concrete Filled using patch compound and used again to level. This does create a lot of dust so wetting the concrete does help. Keep moving to avoid creating holes

Great product for grinding concrete
Works great for grinding concrete. Works well dry or wet to grind down high spots on concrete floor or sidewalk. Using wet keeps down dust and, I assume, extends the life. Should work even better on masonary.

Works well. Removes material quickly and smoothly, but make sure to maintain a firm grip on the machine and keep it level to avoid chatter and Cresent skip marks. Keep to tool moving in a random swirl pattern.

Takes up old motor
Remodeling two small bathrooms and both had tile floors. Tried a grinding wheel (wore down) and 40grit flap disc's (worked but ate them up quickly). This works really well. I'll need to throw some leveler to deal with some minor dips where I dug too long, but this made quick work of the old mortar bed on subfloor.
